Guest Reviews
- Kim (8/5): Nice country stay that’s close to everything - High ceilings and well insulated with old world feeling The bedroom had a high window to another bed which was not light & sound proof
- Des (8/5): -
- BRYCE (7/5): -
- paul (4/5): Disappointed - Location near the lake
Comfy beds Cleanliness- floors were still dirty, dusty, animal fur in clumps.
Lots of Dead insects on windowsills
Condition of the property- large cracks throughout/lose tiles in bathroom. The photos have been selected carefully and do not represent the property accurately.

- Andrea (8/5): Great location, awesome property. Would stay again no problem. - Fantastic property. Great location. Awesome communication.
- Geraldine (7/5): Fantastic location- couldn’t get better for where we needed to go. Bathroom facilities need to be upgraded especially wi - The location was superb and given how cold it was we were glad the central heating worked well to keep the house warm. The shower was not functioning properly from the moment we arrived and could not maintain a temperature. The shower rose and caddy both broke while we were out at dinner one night which made showering basically impossible until it was fixed. The property was not well cleaned with dead bees on the window sills in most rooms and a lot of pet hair which was challenging for one of my children who has an allergy to dog and cat hair.
- Marcus (8/5): Lovely historic home in an excellent location -
- Salo (5/5): - 1. Cleanness level
2. Bathroom (lack of hot water, can't close the door of the bathroom and it located in the back)
- Kyle (6/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): - Excellent facilities, location and amenities. Everything you might need. Across from Victoria Park, not far from the lake. Extremely pet friendly.
- Bruce (2/5): Bad - Location No shower no spare toilet paper, garbage. Bags or dishwashing liquid
- Wing Yan Joan (9/5): Good and love the stay with our pet. - Very spacious, warm and cozy house with everything we need. Good location close to Ballarat Botanical Garden and the Lake, we love the morning walk around the lake, it is so beautiful and peaceful. Especially it is pet friendly so my pet enjoying the stay too. Will love to stay again next time. One bathroom and toilet only.
- Renee (10/5): - The home was so inviting. A wonderful place to make family memories ❤️
- John (7/5): Good -
- Fathimath (5/5): Passable -
- Kristy (8/5): Lovely , pretty, timeless , thoughtful, close to everything - Beautiful layout, generous size , great we could take pets . Decor gorgeous and little things like snacks and blankets for pets etc We Couldn’t shower as the hot water would turn off after couple minutes so couldn’t wash hair. Pressure is understandable as it is an old house, however not sure why hot water stops mid way through shower even tho no one used water before the first person showering .
- Melissa (8/5): Spacious family home - Comfortable bed, spacious home, great safe location Shower/bathroom. Tiny tiny tiny old shower
- Nivedita (9/5): Loved it! Great location! - Absolutely loved the location of this house! It is a 5 min walk to Lake Wendouree which was perfect as we were there for NYEs and were able to do an easy stroll to watch the fireworks. The house has everything you need and our pet had a great time too. We played a lot of backyard cricket which was awesome. Would defs recommend! The only thing is that it has one toilet so it was a bit of a wait to use it as we were 7 people. Otherwise perfect house with great comfy bedding.
- Katherine (9/5): Cosy home with great beds. - The location was great for us. The surrounding parks were fabulous.
There was everything you needed in the kitchen. Thanks for the lovely snacks.
My dog loved all the dog bedding, toys and the park across the road.
The beds were so comfortable, traffic was louder than I am used to, but it settles after a certain time. The couches are very low, but there are some higher singles to use.
I am pretty sure the advertisement said there was a spa bath, but sadly there is not. The bath was still enjoyed by my kids (and hubby).
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): Fantastic - The house was stunning Heater
- Shane (10/5): Exactly what we needed - We had to evacuate our house due to bushfires. The booking of the property was done late on the night we needed to stay to accommodate a family of 5. The process of getting entry to the property was flawless which was fantastic considering the stress we were already under. The host was great sending messages and making sure everything was ok. The property was neat and tidy. We had absolutely no complaints.
- Charlotte (8/5): Very good -
- Baker (8/5): Very good - Great location and a lovely, homely house. Very clear instructions and great communication from the owner. Bed was really comfortable for me, which was great. Really nice quiet neighbourhood, the family was really happy with our accommodation 😊 Nothing
- Ross (8/5): Very good - The house was great, we had 6 adults (all singles) originally 8 booked, 2 in our group who couldn't make it (covid). Owner very obliging and helpful. Kitchen had most things, a few big pots would be good Although there were 8 beds it did make one bedroom very tight, it would be a great house for a big family. Only one toilet was also a bit limiting.
- Tess (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great. I loved the key pad system it was super easy to use. Everything was really tidy and we had everything we needed. Overall an amazing stay! The clear mat in the shower needs to be replaced.
