- Laura (9/5): Beautiful place! - Very tranquil place. Paula at the front desk arranged for us to be picked up from the hotel for the tours we had pre booked on our own. Very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool was lovely. The view from the restaurant was amazing.

- Biesemans (9/5): Een heel aangenaam verblijf!
Niks
- lee (8/5): - The room and bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. The restaurant was very nice and the food was good.
The staff was very helpful when we arrived and gave us info about a local pharmacy. The grounds area and the pool area seemed a bit unfinished, but the pool and hot tub were very clean and accessible. The grounds were clean.

- Anastasia (9/5): Nice place to stay - Very clean and accommodating hotel. Great location and nice restaurant for dinner. Love the jungle feeling right in town. I would only recommend for a hotel management to accept a service dogs. Otherwise we would be back
- Clarissa (10/5): - Beautiful location. Not too far from the main city (you can walk there), but far enough to feel secluded. Perfect distance. I really like that you feel like you're in a jungle. The restaurante has good food and the hotel offers you a welcome drink (virgin or with alcohol). I would come back and recommend to anyone who wants to explore San ignacio.

- Susan (8/5): Beautiful grounds and lovely rooms but restaurant needs improvement to cater to the clientele. - Beautiful grounds and large clean rooms.
Paula at front desk was very helpful Restaurant was limited for food options, with many items sold out and very limited vegetarian options. Also we were over charged for one dinner, charged for three course meal when just got one item.
- Holly (9/5): -
- Larissa (10/5): - Sehr schöne & komfortable Cabana, mit TV& Kaffeemaschine sowie Wasser , toller Pool & sehr freundliches Personal, sehr guter Service
- Puja (10/5): - The room was comfortable and staff was super friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was also very good. Easy to get picked up for tours from here. I recommend this hotel. N/A
- Nia (6/5): -
- Aykhan (10/5): Absolutely recommend! - The staff and service were incredible! Honestly, cant complain! Only thing is, its a hike up/down from town center but worth the walk.
- Ardeth (10/5): Very peaceful - The jungle setting, everything green Difficulty walking up the hill
- Olivia (10/5): -
- Tatiana (10/5): A serene stay in the hilltops of San Ignacio - I love how clean and well taken care the property was. I also liked the seamless check in and checkout. I also loved the staff. Super friendly and attentive to anything I needed. Nothing! It was awesome
- Aisling (8/5): -
- Emily (10/5): -
- Laura (7/5): Nice stay but could use some improvements - The cabana was roomy and the bathroom very large! The fridge in the room was great and lots of storage for luggage and clothing. The bed was huge and comfortable, the AC worked well and the pool was really nice too! The manager Paula was amazingly hospitable and really kind and helpful.
The small covered patio area in front of the cabana was great too! The restaurant food was okay for breakfast but not worth the cost for dinner as the food closer to downtown was better or at least cheaper for the same level of food. The hotel is at the top of a hill so plan on taxi on the return and a decent walk into downtown.
My sister in laws room was not cleaned very well (found hair in shower and mold on shampoo dispenser). Her regular room was a bit small and the layout was not super easy to use but for one person worked okay.
The patio was not really sealed well and the sliding door to our room was difficult to lock and was actually unlocked from before we arrived and until a day before we left as it was the opposite side that was opened for us upon check in.
The pool doesn’t have any amenities like a bar or restaurant next to it and the pool chairs had not been cleaned off so there were a lot of bugs on them and debris from the trees that clearly had been there for awhile.
It would be good for the hotel staff to turn off lights around the property after 10 pm so that lights are not beaming into rooms when most people are asleep.
Would be nice for the hotel to invest in some sort of shuttle to and from town at least at fixed times for guests to use as it is far from the center of town.
We would have like either a door or curtain to separate the toilet from the rest of the bathroom for a bit of privacy.
- Dolly (10/5): For the money, it was a quiet tropical getaway with a friendly staff and clean accommodations. - The location was centrally located to activities. We arrived late due to flight delay, yet they had a meal already prepared for us, we called ahead, along with a complimentary signature drink. It was delicious. The staff was amazing and SO kind. There was none aside from this loud bird that pecked at our window to get up.
- Dana (1/5): WE WERR ROBBED. Do NOT book here. - Beautiful property and very convenient to our activities. We were ROBBED in our room while we slept on the last night. Stole all of my cash and my Rolex. Staff seemed concerned this morning but has since then been very quiet once I asked for my receipt and the police report and camera footage. Sliding glass door didn’t have a safety bar. I am still shaking that someone entered our room overnight while we were sleeping. Thank god we weren’t hurt. Do NOT trust this hotel.
- Boir (10/5): Exceptional - Paid breakfast but was good Can’t think of anything
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great. It's next to a Mayan ruin and surrounded by trees and lush vegetation - beautiful. The pool had a tranquil waterfall and warm water. Everyone we encountered was helpful and cheerful. The restaurant had a sweeping view of the valley below, and the food was delicious! Sebastian, our server was amazing and gave us perfect recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Falling Leaves Lodge.
- Margie (10/5): Exceptional - Of all our travels in Central America this was our favorite place. Paula was a wonder. She set so many things up for us, tours and taxi. Everyone from Restaurant staff to Gardner and housekeepers all were friendly and so kind. Food was all fantastic. We loved being on the hill overlooking the city. The jungle environment was so fun with birds. It was a great stay. Everything was great.
- Abbie (10/5): Lovely staff! - Relaxing stay away from the hustle of the town. Gorgeous rooms and the most attentive staff! Kevin was the most welcoming and friendly gardener on site, gave us lots of great recommendations. Nothing
- Ezrah (10/5): Lovely staff, wonderful restaurant, clean rooms! - The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Clean rooms. The restaurant is very good! They were able to make an early breakfast for take away for me when I had an early morning call time for a tour - much appreciated! Cahal Pech archaeological site just next door. Everything was great! I thought this place had a pool but I wasn’t told where it was or see it but I didn’t explore the entire grounds.
- Stephann (10/5): Beautiful oasis near town - This property is an oasis just a stone throw away from downtown San Ignacio. I was so taken with all the trees and plants and I love that they have benches to simply sit and enjoy nature. The shower was phenomenal, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C was superb. I liked that there’s was a little coffee maker complete with filter paper, ground coffee and powdered creamer and I made good use of it in the early morning when I needed to work remotely. Speaking of—the WiFi was excellent and I had no issues with any of the conference calls I had during my stay.
Lastly, I’m very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. There was always someone around to ask for help or get a recommendation, without them being helicopter-y. If you need a nature retreat within easy reach of downtown (if you’re into walking) I wholeheartedly recommend this place! It’s especially perfect if you’re backpacking but want a nice, calm place to stay. The bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill and it’s a 5 minute walk. N/A
- Karl (9/5): Nice place to stay on the outskirts of town - Nice place with comfortable cabanas, the restaurant was good and the staff very helpful Nothing. All good
- Stephanie (10/5): Perfect vacation spot - Beautiful property, great location and fabulous and friendly staff Nothing
- Abrielle (9/5): Great value, beautiful place. - We loved our stay at Falling Leaves Lodge. It's only a five minute walk down the hill to town, and less to the Cahal Pech archaeological site, but it feels like you're in nature. Our room was larger and nicer than expected, and super comfortable. AC worked great, good water pressure, hot water fast. I kept thinking 'I could live here.' The room had bottled water and coffee for us. The new pool area was very nice. The staff was super friendly. We passed multiple other lodging options and remained happy that we had chosen Falling Leaves. It's a great value for money as well. After breakfast, we were unable to get drinks or snacks till past 4pm, which put a damper on cocktails by the pool. We also weren't able to get anything super early, prior to excursions, so plan for that. The restaurant food wasn't great and was pricey, but that's no big deal since there is so much close by. Great view from the restaurant patio!
- Lori (7/5): Good - The rooms and exterior were more rundown than photos had depicted. It was not what I expected and not worth the price. Staff was super helpful and friendly though! Restaurant was good!
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional - The Staff were amazing. Especially Kevin and Paula!! The room was comfortable, but at night there is alot of light that comes in the room. The AC is really cold, which is nice. It is quite a trek to the town center as there are 2 steep hills to go down then back up. Takes about 25-30 minutes or a $5 cab ride each way. It is located right next to the Cahel Pech Ruins. These are some really nice ruins. The onsite pool was very nice too.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful rooms, facilities were great, staff were friendly and helpful The property is quite far away which is mostly a positive but it does make it difficult for getting things like water without a car
- Kristilyn (8/5): Very good - everyone was very helpful and friendly. as noted in other reviews - it was a long walk to the city center but a taxi was like $5 US dollars if you don't want to walk up the hill.
- Christopher (10/5): Very easy and comfortable. - Very friendly staff and pretty, quiet location.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dylan (10/5): Beautiful property and great staff - Staff was amazing, the property was beautiful, rooms were pleasant. Critters were able to get in the door under the door when it was closed
- Brent (9/5): Superb - We just spent six days and nights at Falling Leaves Lodge and had a great stay. Miss Paula is a wonderful hostess and her staff is very attentive. She arranged our transport to and from the lodge as well as our tours to the ATM cave and Tikal, both of which were fantastic. Our room was under the restaurant and as others have said there is a little noise during the hours it is open. We had breakfast every day there and most dinners and the food was very good. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it completely. Thanks Miss Paula for a memorable stay!
- Anamaria (9/5): Superb -
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Narcisa (7/5): Good -
- Denai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andym42 (9/5): Engaging hotel near many fantastic adventures and attractions - The hotel was perched on a hill overlooking San Ignacio with beautiful views at night. It is next door to the amazing Cahal Pech ruins which I recommend even if you are planning an excursion to one of the larger ruins nearby. We also enjoyed the iguana rescue center, the chocolate making demonstration at AJAW, and visiting the local market for some shopping and fresh tortillas in the morning. The zipline/cave tube adventure was about an hour's drive and highly recommended. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, especially Miguel in the hotel restaurant. Our room was big with a nice patio and a giant king size bed. The walk up the hill is steep! We walked up after spending some time in Ben's bar at the bottom. After that, we chose to pay taxis $5 USD each way to go into the city for site-seeing, shopping, and restaurants. Our room was under the restaurant which was a bit noisy until 9:00 pm. The food was hit-and-miss, some dishes excellent but others average.
- Bogdon (10/5): Mayan Ruins trip - The location was ideal to all the Mayan ruins. It is also about. 20 mins from Guatemalan border. Everything was perfect. The staff was very attentive.
- Stacy (9/5): Great place to stay in San Ignacio - The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable. We saw a toucan in the trees on the property upon arrival. The restaurant was good and everything was as described in the posting. We would definitely stay here again. Loved everything
- Sue (8/5): A pleasant stay with very helpful staff - The staff were very friendly & helpful. Paula organised a lift from the ferry at Belize City & one over the border to Tikal. We felt that all of the drivers were friendly, professional & responsible. We liked the room, the pool & the site next door, Cahal Pech. The weather wasn’t great so we did the chocolate workshop & the green Iguana tour, both good. Shame the caves weren’t open. The bar & restaurant were very quiet, it wasn’t high season but we found a couple of other places nearby which had a lot more people, so a better atmosphere in the evening.
- Katherine (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. - Staff were wonderful and made sure we had all the tours and transports we needed, despite the Tropical Storm. Loved the pool and hot tub. The restaurant had great food. And the location was awesome - right next door to Cahal Pech ruins and just up the hill from town (walkable with a workout or short taxi ride).
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful stay with a great Mayan site right next door. - The staff, very friendly and helpful. The location was right next to one of the best archaeological sites I have seen. A short taxi ride to town or a half hour downhill walk. Also near the Iguana rescue center. Loved the pool! Was really anything .
- Roux (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chellie (7/5): Basic cabin surrounded by beautiful nature - Surrounded by nature, lots of birds, butterflies and even squirrels Not very luxurious and uphill, so when you go into town, it’s a pretty tough walk back to the accommodation
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - We had an awesome stay at the lodge! Everyone is super friendly and so helpful! They can organize and book many tours for you or just recommend things to do. The room we had was very clean and the food at the restaurant is great! The pool was refreshing! The lodge is directly next to the Mayan ruins Cahal Pech, which is definitely worth visiting! Highly recommended!!! You can see and feel that the lodge is maintained and led with love!
- Suzanne (10/5): Comfortable accommodations to do San Ignacio tours etc. - Room was so spacious and well decorated. Bathroom was phenomenal! 2 shower heads. Staff was helpful and friendly. No bottle opener in the room. Real cream would be really nice.
- Charles (9/5): Great resort with wonderful staff. Excellent location for side trips and excursions. - Wonderful stay. Staff was very nice. Restaurant was great. Ms Paula was wonderful at arranging rides and excursions. Room was
clean and cool. Nice pool area. Next door to amazing Mayan site. Steep short hill from town to resort if you’re walking.
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional - Love the staff! Beautiful property 😁 Nothing
- Daniel (10/5): Falling Leaves is a nice, relaxing hotel in the heart of the Cayo area of Belize. - Locaction is great, up the hill from downtown San Ignacio, so it was nice and quiet. The location is large and very peaceful.
We enjoyed the pool and hottub. They were perfectly clean, even after it was windy and rainy. The receptionist Paula was so nice and helpful. We had an ATM cave tour and Tikal tour scheduled with MayanWalk Tour. When I booked the tour online, we would of had to walk a mile downtown to catch the start of the tour, but Paula called and had them come pick us up at our hotel. We also receiver a complementary welcome drink at the bar, plus the bar had many other delicious drinks. Dinner was also excellant. Beds and pillows were super comfortable too. nothing, everything was great.
- Keren (10/5): Staff is people pleaser, great amenities. - Finally a hotel that understands the needs of Americans. The layout of the hotel is practical and convenient. There is a hairdryer, a TV and a pool. The big bonus is coffee maker, 2 bottles of water and homemade muffins. Lastly, we received complimentary drinks at the bar. The bartender made amazing drinks. The service was incredible. We had a tour that the guide was not responsive. The hotel staff followed up with my tour guide. The grounds was well kept.
- José (10/5): Exceptional - The friendly stuff, specially Rat and Christiana, they were really kind and friendly to me. My handicapped accesible room was awesome and very comfortable. The standards of Fallen Leaves Lodge are very high, I enjoyed a lot there. Thanks again Rat for everything!
- Donald (10/5): Exceptional - Unbelievable stay. A gem of a property, sounds cliche, but trust me everything was perfect!!! Stay here! Thanks Paula and staff!
- Claudia (8/5): Very good -
- Maris (8/5): Nice stay in San Ignacio - Nice hotel, very quiet, clean room, very good restaurant with a view over the town! Cahal Pech Maya ruins are just next door, so very convenient to visit. The hotel had recently added a pool and is doing some landscaping on their territory, so it should look cosier and more lush in the near future. Would recommend and consider staying again. I hadn't realized it's a bit far from the downtown area, up a VERY steep hill. So taxi is basically the only option when wanting to go to the city centre, other restaurants or the market etc.
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional - The room was beautiful and we loved the proximity to Cahal Pech. Staff and service were excellent, Paula was super helpful throughout our stay. We would love to visit again.
- Jennifer (8/5): The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the outdoor pool was lovely. Excellent staff - The onsite restaurant was pretty good. They had good cocktails and the breakfast burrito was delicious!
The pool was quite lovely as well. It was a good size, clean, well-maintained, and was mostly empty when we went!
The staff was excellent - very helpful, friendly and attentive! 5 star service! The room was dark. We felt like we were sleeping in someone's basement. I wish the pictures of the room on the Booking.com website were more accurate. We probably wouldn't have chosen the room we did had we known it was so dark and basement-like.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - People working there are awesome
- Nsilvaaguayo (8/5): Nice place - The room was quite large, the air conditioning worked well and without noise. the pool area beautiful. The room had no access door, it was a window which seemed unsafe to me. Twice during the afternoon the power went out in the middle of the room. Pillow and bedspread were dirty, although they were quickly changed.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mayra (10/5): Incredible spot with amazing staff - This is an absolutely 10 out of 10! Christiana and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is exceptional. They really do know the meaning of hospitality and we couldn't be more grateful for their attention and all of their guidance. We had an incredible stay thanks to them! When I return to Belize, I will DEFINITELY be coming back here! I personally didn't mind this because I had rented a car, but just a heads up for guests who don't have one - there is a VERY steep hill getting to the hotel. Getting into town might be tough if you have trouble walking.
- Lisa (10/5): A very relaxed environment with a great pool. - Friendly staff, very relaxed environment, nice pool, spacious room, very clean, good location Nothing
- Keila (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Great location at the top of the hill and right beside Cahal Pech. The restaurant food was amazing. The pool was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They filled up our water bottles when we left and provided us transport down the hill on a very hot day, which was very appreciated. No complaints.
- Bridget (8/5): Very good - Staff were wonderful. AC nice and cold! Comfy beds.
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Staff, food, room & grounds were phenomenal!!! Would def come back.
Wonderful location and even tho it's close to town you feel so secluded.
- Binns (9/5): Superb - Falling Leaves is a brilliant hotel! The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome. Big shout out to the manager Paula on reception and Angel serving at the restaurant. Both went the extra mile to accommodate us at the hotel. Kevin the gardener was also very friendly and a lovely guy!
The room was spacious and stylish, with a great shower, very comfortable bed and excellent wifi. Lots of great touches throughout too.
We were also delighted to discover the pool had been opened only a month ago, which was a wonderful surprise and addition to our stay.
We loved it. Thank you! A little walk out of town (20 mins) but it didn't bother us as we were occupied with organized tours and it was easy to arrange taxis via Paula.
- Jin (7/5): Lovely budget option with a phenomenal staff! - Staff is SO helpful and kind!
They got me last min options for transportation. 1. It could be cleaner. The corners of the bed head was super dusty… generally seems clean though!
2. Location too far from the center for me…
- Roseann (9/5): Superb - During our spring break adventure in Belize, the Cayo district was our first stop, and we were fortunate enough to stay at the enchanting Falling Leaves Lodge. Nestled next to the Cahal Pech Archaeological Reserve, this hidden gem served as the perfect launching pad for our explorations.
Upon our arrival at Falling Leaves Lodge, we were welcomed by the warmth and hospitality of Ms. Paula. Her exceptional service and meticulous attention to detail were evident from the start. Not only did she extend a heartfelt welcome, but she also went above and beyond to assist us in organizing our tours to the mesmerizing Mayan Ruins of Caracol, along with the captivating caves and Big Rock Falls.
One of the highlights of our stay was the seamless transportation arrangements made by Ms. Paula. She not only ensured that our journey to Caye Caulker, our next destination, was hassle-free but also took the extra step to liaise with El Ben Cabanas, our hotel in Caye Caulker, to guarantee a smooth transition upon our arrival.
The beauty of Falling Leaves Lodge is simply unparalleled. Surrounded by lush greenery and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, it truly felt like a haven of tranquility. The lodge's restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delectable cuisine, and the staff's dedication to providing exceptional service made our dining experiences truly memorable.
Our stay at Falling Leaves Lodge was nothing short of magical. From the impeccable accommodations to the unparalleled hospitality of Ms. Paula and the rest of the staff, every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. For anyone seeking adventure and relaxation in the heart of Belize, Falling Leaves Lodge is the ultimate destination. We can't wait to return and create more unforgettable memories in this paradise.
- Tran (9/5): Superb - Property was beautiful and quiet. Staff were very friendly. pool did not have nice sitting areas or lounge chairs. still under construction.
- Annabelle (9/5): Superb customer service, simple and clean rooms and a brilliant restaurant - Paula was AMAZING and helped us with so many things during our stay, including booking incredible activities and sorting out laundry! Falling leaves is located at the top of a hill so has great views and feels like you're staying right in the jungle, but are still able to walk into town to go for dinner. The food in the restaurant was great and exactly what we were hoping for during our time in Belize. The pool was also nearly finished and we had the chance to have a quick dip in it before we left. Be prepared for a few animal noises during your stay - we had a woodpecker waking us up most mornings but we didn't mind!
- Theresa (9/5): Superb - Lots of trees and birds great restaurant
