Guest Reviews
- Kylie (10/5): Gorgeous place, definitely don’t miss out on this one! - LOVED this place. Such a peaceful place with gorgeous views. The staff went out of their way to help you - Sandra and Nicole and Bruno was amazing and even took us on a hike nearby. The rooms are spotless and tasteful and brand new, and has alpacas roaming in the garden. What more could you want? Nothing
- Rebecca (9/5): Highly recommend - Good breakfast, top notch service and excellent location for adjusting to the elevation. Uncomfortable chairs on balcony
- Rupert (10/5): A lovely place - The staff were friendly, the alpacas in the garden were a delight, the design and cleanliness of the rooms were great, and sitting in the garden looking at the amazing mountains all around. It's a magical area to visit.
We stayed in lots of different hotels in Peru and this was the best designed and felt quite trendy.
- Ramon (7/5): -
- Dasha (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful and clean grounds, great service, wonderful staff and delicious food
- Pooja (10/5): - Superb location, pet alpacas, very new and freshly decorated, stylish and classy
Bruno is super attentive and took very good care of us!
- Christiane (10/5): Allover very beautiful - Beautiful location up in the hill & tranquil. Beautiful team, good food, comfy bed, filtered water + tea in the room, great service attitude. And great taste in decoration & furniture. Anytime again! -
- Lisa (9/5): Beautiful, peaceful place amongst nature and animals - Beautiful, peaceful property. The dinner, the fireplace, the wonderful animals and the chance to feed them! The room was nicely decorated, large and comfortable. Little privacy in the bathroom area
- Hans (8/5): Gorgeous, but no soul - Our room was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. The hotel is quiet remote but very quiet. We missed a lifely atmosphere. The hotel lacks soul.
- Katherine (10/5): An upscale, picturesque, first class boutique hotel - truly a spiritual retreat neslted in the Sacred Valley. - The boutique hotel grounds were meticulously kept. The views were breathtaking, at all times of the day! The design esthetic was intentional in scope, size and color palette. - earthy, polished and upscale. I loved the alpacas wandering freely on the property. The staff was attentive, friendly and genuinely happy; very gracious hosts for a weary traveler. As a single woman, traveling alone, I felt very safe. The food was devine and presentation felt like a culinary experience at a Michelin star restaurant. I only had one day of excursions planned and the transportation and my driver were equally hospitable. I highly, highly recommend Sierra Sacred Valley ! There was not one thing that I disliked.
- Irene (8/5): Peaceful, well-designed stay in the Sacred Valley, with a few practical trade-offs - A very comfortable and well-run hotel, particularly suited if you’re looking for a quiet base in the Sacred Valley.
The setting is calm and nicely done, with alpacas freely roaming the grounds — a small detail, but it makes the place feel distinctive without being overdone.
Rooms are genuinely comfortable. We stayed in a standard room and found the bed excellent (good mattress, proper pillows), and the water pressure was strong — not always a given in this area. The hotel also helped organise private drivers for day trips, which made logistics easy. • The restaurant is priced above most options in the valley. The food is fine, but doesn’t quite match the pricing (e.g. mains around $22, cocktails ~$15, glass of wine ~$12)
• Breakfast is à la carte only (no buffet), with a relatively early time window (7–9am)
• Prices are listed in USD, which makes it feel like the hotel is targeting a specific demographics
• Service is attentive and efficient, though interactions felt somewhat standardised
• The location is very peaceful, but also quite isolated. Access is only by car via a fairly rough road, and it’s not somewhere you can easily step out for a walk
- JOSEPHINE (10/5): Amazing stay- highly recommend - Gorgeous property tucked away from the main town with stunning views. The Alpacas roaming free were a real highlight. The food was delicious and the owner gave us a great experience with his knowledge and stories about the area and we loved the bonfire evening and our quad bike tour! Nothing

- Oscar Antonio (10/5): Sierra Sacred Valley 🖤 - Sierra te hace sentir especial.
- javier (7/5): Not worth the stay - Beautiful hotel and amazing views Not as expected. Reduced facilities in both, common areas and bedroom ( not air con or heating, toilet kit, blinds…). You have to drop the paper toilet in a bin (unpleasant), toilet without separation from bedroom ( reduced intimacy) and , the worst, you have to pay for everything ( coffee IS 5 US$ in breakfast even when breakfast is included!). Not worth the price
- Violette Xiaoshuang (9/5): A peaceful escape in the heart of the Sacred Valley - We truly enjoyed our stay in the heart of the Sacred Valley. The room we reserved was spacious and beautifully designed, with a lovely mountain view. As the property is located in the middle of nature, it offers the tranquility you look for when escaping city life — the main background music throughout our stay was birds singing and the flowing streams of the Urubamba River :)
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially when assisting us with transportation arrangements. The breakfast buffet was also of great quality. We were very happy to spend time with our new amigos — the llamas in the garden.
- JULIANE (10/5): Relaxante - Adoramos a hospedagem, super atenciosos.
- David (10/5): Exceptional. - This boutique hotel is exceptional. The owners were very attentive from our late arrival, to excellent dinners to accommodating our early departure with delicious box breakfast. All transfers were seamless. The hotel is quiet and intimate in a beautiful setting. All was excellent!
- Sorab (10/5): Wonderful stay … - Very friendly hosts … spent New Years Eve with them …it was a beautiful property… amid mountains Alpacas and nature…
Staff were super helpful and eager to furnish our every request.
Wonderful experience. Nothing…
- Anuar (10/5): Maravilloso!!
- Sorab (10/5): Home away from home. - The location was amazing, surrounded by mountains.
The staff were super eager to help and extremely friendly. Slivia & Luis, the owners were very welcoming. The accommodation was like a five star home. So glad I found this hidden gem. And not to forget we had a welcoming committee of the cutest Alpacas. Nothing !
- Veronica (10/5): - An amazing location with breathtaking views, modern tasteful furnishings that were comfortable. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful.
I would highly recommend this stay and hope to return soon!
- Christoph (10/5): - Breakfast and dinner are fantastic! The rooms are modern and well-equipped. The host is incredibly nice, and the location is great, especially with the alpacas as a bonus. The location is a bit challenging to reach, but it offers a peaceful atmosphere with great views.
- Pedro (7/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): This is a very special place to visit and enjoy the surrounds, accommodation and delicious food - The attention to detail and high level of service at this beautiful location is a stand out Nothing
- Jackie (10/5): You are made to feel so special from the greeting at arrival and like family when saying goodbyes. - Everything was AMAZING!! The attention to detail, hospitality, the location, the room, the experience, the Alpacas and the FOOD. We were made to feel like we were the only ones on the grounds. I would definitely go back to stay again!! It was perfection! A great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary, just so special. It exceeded all expectations!!! If there is an improvement, it would be to have ceiling fans.
- Gonzalo (10/5): -
- Emily (9/5): -
- Luba (7/5): -
- ranjeet singh (9/5): Enjoyed very much - Beautiful location with very homely feeling clean and comfortable with excellent staff
- Tamarai (10/5): Charming - The hosts were attentive to our every need and we were a big group of 8 so kudos to them ! The property has a stunning location albeit accessibility is via unsealed roads ( probably adds to the charm). There are rescue alpacas in the garden and they were so cute to interact with. The rooms were modern and clean and if I had one thing to add, a cupboards or extra shelves to store things would be appreciated by guests .
The in house restaurant serves delicious meals and the breakfast spread was well done. Too bad we couldn’t eat more often there during our 4 day 3 night stay.
We loved the campfire and story time with the owner on the last night. Special mention to Bruno who was above and beyond in taking care of us.
When my son accidentally left some laundered clothes after we checked out. The owner’s found a way to send it to us. I highly recommend this place to anyone venturing into the Sacred Valley Area.
- Pablo (10/5): -
- Parker (10/5): Views, accommodations and service that cannot be topped! - As soon as you arrive to Sierra Sacred Valley you are captivated by the mountain view’s and beauty of the property. It’s peaceful, beautifully decorated has everything you need. But the staff is absolutely amazing. They can literally put together an itinerary on the fly, help plan any activities or arrangements and get you anything you may need. I planned a trip with a lot of holes and Bruno and Silvia were amazing at making sure my birthday trip was a success. The food was amazing as well. You will not be disappointed with your stay here. I can’t imagine a better property for your visit!
- Pablo (10/5): Feels like home in the Andes - The place really gives you a welcoming and homely feeling and the food in the restaurant was honestly some of the best we had in Peru!
The staff is extremely kind, professional and attentive. Special greetings to Hugo. You can really sense in every detail that the owners have fulfilled their dream here. Our room was spacious, well-equipped, and honestly spotless. All organized trips and transfers fully met our expectations. They've also prepared a nice snack-box for our trip to Machu Picchu.
Don’t miss the evenings by the campfire with the owner – he shares valuable insider tips and interesting tales & stories about the region.
We truly fell in love with this place (and the alpacas!) and will be happy to return on our next trip to Peru. We wish the hosts Louis and Silvia all the best for the future. If something should not fully meet expectations, I’m sure the owners and the staff will do everything they can to make it right.
- rolandboehm51 (10/5): -
- MIKEL (7/5): -
- julie (10/5): All perfect. -
- Jacopo (10/5): Amazing hosts for an amazing stay - Location is spectacular - a peaceful oasis in the Sacred Valley. Luis and Silvia are amazing hosts - they make you feel like you’re at home. Service is impeccable and food (both breakfast and dinner) is delicious (some of the best we had in Peru!). Last but not least - there are alpacas! Best hotel in Peru!
- Iwan (10/5): - We absolutely loved Sierra! This has been our favourite stay on our entire trip. The interior design is gorgeous, balancing modern buildings with classic feel. The food is all brilliant, breakfast, lunch and dinner - we ate every meal there during our 3 night stay. We now have some new friends, the alpacas! In addition the owners, Silvia and Luis, and staff, especially Bruno, really make it feel like a home whilst enjoying the benefits of a hotel. Everyone there is so kind and happy to help and share stories about the local area by the fire or through tours. Overall, this stay is amazing and we absolutely recommend it!
- Lisa (10/5): - Fantastic, warm, welcoming, thoughtful staff and stunning location.
- Nadia (7/5): - The setting and the kindness of the host It was too cold for us and the options for food were a bit restricted.
- Diana (10/5): The hosts and their stories and advice were wonderful in this quiet secret haven. - The decor, the quiet, the ambience, the fire and fireside stories, the views over the valley, the pet alpacas and the food were all special A little out the way. In fact google maps sent us down a road from Cusco that was impassable- advise clients not to take the dirt road
- Elisabeth (8/5): Beautiful location but has to develop more hospitality - Beautiful location, nice designer details, alpacas in the garden Price is really high for Peruvian standards and the breakfast was really poor regarding the high price-if you wanted to have one more glass of orange juice or a piece of bread you had to ask like a beggar-it seemed greedy to us
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsten (10/5): A fantastic stay! Everything was perfect. Highly recommend! - Beautifully property! Clean and expertly designed
- Tracy (10/5): Book this stunning hotel!! - The staff at the property are amazing, they couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome and went absolutely above and beyond. The wine tasting was lovely and informative and it really doesn’t get better than drinking red wine with someone passionate about the topic as the sun dips behind the mountains. Now the food, I’m a total foodie and wouldn’t normally eat in a hotel but during a two night stay I had two dinners and a lunch as well as the included breakfast, literally every meal from when I arrived to when I left, hands down the best food I’ve eaten in Peru. Every night there’s a campfire which is such a lovely touch, really enjoyed sitting by the campfire being entertained by stories told by our host whilst looking at the stars. I haven’t even mentioned the alpacas yet, there’s 6 of them who roam the property and are so friendly!! Silvia and her team have created something very special and I’m so lucky I got to experience it. That I didn’t book to stay longer
- Liam (10/5): Beautiful and homely stay in the Andean mountains! - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sierra Sacred Valley, and I can’t recommend it enough. This beautiful, thoughtfully designed hotel blends harmoniously with the serene surroundings, offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. With only eight rooms, the experience is intimate and bespoke, allowing for a truly personalised stay.
The service here is exceptional—staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to go above and beyond. The owners themselves are wonderfully personable, adding a heartfelt touch that makes you feel like you’re part of the family. If you’re looking for a quiet, luxurious escape in the Sacred Valley, Sierra is a hidden gem worth discovering.
Oh, and they have Alpacas! A little far from restaurant options. I’d love to see more vegetarian options on the menu, though they were very kind and creative and would tell me each day which meals could be adapted.
- Ximena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giulia (8/5): Charming Property with Great Potential – Some Improvements Needed for a Truly High-End Experience - We recently stayed at this lovely hotel just outside the village of Huayllabamba and had a generally pleasant experience. The setting is beautiful: peaceful, green, and surrounded by stunning views of the mountains and valley. During the day, alpacas graze freely on the grounds, adding to the serene atmosphere. The property is tastefully decorated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and overall the environment is very relaxing.
Breakfast was a highlight, with both a buffet and à la carte options available, covering both sweet and savoury preferences. Silvia reached out shortly after we booked to share information about tours and activities, and she answered most of our questions before arrival, which was appreciated. That said, while the hotel clearly aspires to deliver a high-standard experience, there are a few areas that could use improvement to truly meet those expectations—particularly in customer service and communication.
There is a noticeable language barrier, as the owners' English is limited. Since we don’t speak Spanish, communication was sometimes challenging and created uncertainty. For example, we were asked about our breakfast preferences the night we arrived, then asked again in the morning—which in itself would be fine, except my husband was also asked twice about the Greek yoghurt he requested. On another occasion, our entire breakfast order was brought out twice. We were left wondering whether we had misunderstood something or if there was simply a mix-up on the staff’s end.
Another instance involved an activity that Silvia’s husband (whose name we unfortunately never caught, perhaps due to the language barrier or a somewhat rushed arrival) proposed for the afternoon. We had agreed to take a walk around the area, but when we realised we were running late, we messaged the hotel to ask if we could reschedule. We received no reply, and upon our return, we learned he had been unexpectedly held in Cusco for work. This wasn’t a problem in itself, but a quick message to inform us the walk was cancelled would have been appreciated.
One final point—especially for future guests renting a car—is about the route to the property. We drove from Poroy/Cusco using Google Maps, which directed us down a terrible unpaved road typically used by local farmers. What should have been a little over an hour's drive turned into a 3-hour ordeal due to the road conditions. We strongly recommend the hotel provide a note in their welcome message with clear driving directions, including which routes to avoid, particularly for international guests unfamiliar with the area and reliant on GPS apps.
- Dimitrios (10/5): Excellent stay in sacred valley! - Excellent location, management and staff were very helpful and nice!
- Robbie (10/5): Wonderful memories of my stay at Sierra Sacred Valley ' Thankyou 🙏 - Amazing team lead by Silvia and Luis. So focused on their guests !
Beautiful property in an amazing Valley ! I loved the Alpacas wandering around and I must mention the food presentation- possibly the best I have ever experienced! Nothing
- Kimberly (10/5): Everything we could have wanted plus some! - The staff was super helpful and lovely. They had everything we need plus some. The room was super comfortable and clean. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and they have a great selection.
- Daniela (10/5): A home away from home. - Sierra is a beautiful, warm and welcoming place in the heart of the sacred valley.
Staying at Sierra felt like going home to visit family.
Silvia and Luis were absolutely lovely and helped me to create the perfect itinerary for the few days I had in Urubamba. One of the highlights was an early morning hike up the mountains with Luis, which is included in the booking.
There is a cheeky little group of Alpacas roaming around the property and the grounds are surrounded by mountains and greenery.
The property is kept immaculately and the rooms are spacious and have a homely, warm spirit to them.
I highly recommend staying at Sierra as your base to explore the valley! Everything was great! Nothing to criticize.
- Wolf_meister (10/5): A peaceful and memorable stay in a stunning mountain setting, made even better by warm hospitality. - Sierra Sacred Valley is beautifully nestled in the Sacred Valley, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views that create a peaceful and immersive atmosphere. Alpacas roam freely on the property, adding a charming and authentic touch—we even had the chance to watch locals shear them and explain how the wool is used for traditional clothing.
The entire setting is intimate and thoughtfully designed—inviting without ever feeling forced. Our room was very comfortable with a clean, modern feel, and since the hotel just opened this year, everything felt fresh and pristine. The attention to detail throughout the property and the impeccable cleanliness made the stay even more special.
Breakfast each morning was a real highlight, offering a generous spread of fresh fruits, a variety of breads, local jams, cold cuts, and cheeses. You could also order eggs or omelets freshly made to your liking, making it a perfect start to the day.
The owners have been incredibly kind and helpful. They offered great recommendations for the area and shared engaging stories about the surrounding mountains and local history.
The nearest bigger town is Urubamba, and while most tourists rely on taxis and guided tours to get around, we highly recommend renting a SUV like we did in Cusco. It gave us the freedom to explore hidden corners of the valley at our own pace, and we were able to hire local guides at each site for a much deeper, more immersive experience.
It was an incredibly relaxing and enriching stay. I highly recommend Sierra Sacred Valley to anyone visiting the area. nothing
- Meital (10/5): Perfect Vacation, Perfcet hosts, Would definitely come again ❤️ - Beautiful and quiet, The hosts make us feel at home, everything was amazing Nothing, It was perfect!
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Wonderful hosts. Good food. Very relaxing. Thanks for making it special.
- Megan (10/5): Gorgeous views and wonderful people - Loved everything about my stay here. The owners were incredibly kind and thoughtful, the views were unbelievable, the aplacas just outside were adorable. Also, the food was delicious! No complaints!
- Ryan (8/5): Beautiful setting in a remote location - Beautiful setting in the mountains Not easy to get to and not very close to anything
- Robert (10/5): Awesome, peaceful, wonderful - Great experience and wonderful owners and staff. Silvia and Lucho took care of everything we needed and more. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Cuzco area. Nothing
- Keri (10/5): A beautiful gem in the Sacred Valley - Location is stunning - the view of the Sacred Valley is beautiful. Very cozy and stylish decoration. Rooms are quite big, the bed is very comfortable.Staff is incredibly friendly, and the services to organize a tour for you are bespoke to each group. The place is ran by a couple who host bonfires and treks daily. There are four alpacas onsite, which give quite a lively vibe to the place!
- Nicole (10/5): As above - It was quiet, easy to relax. Lovely hosts that went above and beyond to ensure we’re having the best time. We were taken for a beautiful hike by the hotel owner. -
- Charles (10/5): Felt like home, but nicer. - Brand new facilities built to a high standard. Surprisingly fast internet. Great food. Friendly hosts. Didn't get to stay long enough.
- Michael (10/5): We really enjoyed staying in this peaceful rural retreat, run by wonderful, caring hosts. - It is only several months old, beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. Being modern has all the convenience you would need such as convenient, electrical outlets, good plumbing, etc.
The best part was the setting. It’s not right in the town, in fact, it’s a little bit difficult to get to, but it’s very tranquil, located in a quiet rural setting. In fact, the owners have a small farm adjacent to the hotel property, and several alpaca that roam the property, one of which is like a friendly dog that loves to approach and nuzzle humans.
The owners are on site; a lovely couple, and they treat you like a member of the family. The other staff is also extremely helpful, respectful and friendly.
We only took breakfast at the hotel, that food was terrific. They do serve other meals, and judging from the look of the dining area and the dining area, I’d expect the catering to be excellent.
The nearest large town is Urubamba, but the hotel is not in the built up part of that town. I think it was about a 20 minute taxi ride on a dark rainy night, to get to the place.
The nearest small (very small) town is Huayllabamba. This is about a 15 minute walk away. We really enjoyed going there and seeing how the people live. I doubt that they get many tourists. There was no sign of tourism infrastructure.
We just went there out of curiosity, but found we could take a local shuttle van to Urubamba for S/ 1.5 (around USD 0.40 as I write this), and the trip took 20-30 minutes. It was super fun riding with and talking to the local people. Everyone we have met is super friendly. In the small town, few spoke English, but everyone is quick to converse using google translate.
All in all, we are very glad that we chose to stay here, and do so again. Nothing. I would return again. I’d I have to find fault, the hot water takes a while to come up. The owners E aware and are considering how to improve that so it doesn’t waste so much water (which signs keep reminding me, is precious around here).
- Matthew (10/5): Highlight of our trip to Peru; beautiful and serene. - Sierra Sacred Valley is an absolute gem. The owners, were amazing hosts who ensured we had a wonderful experience in the Sacred Valley. This hotel (recently opened - April '24) is peaceful, serene, and thoughtfully designed. The staff provided exceptional service, the food was delicious, and the property was impeccably clean, beautiful and secluded. Our reservation included breakfast and evening bonfires (snacks provided) as well as a guided hike, should time have allowed. Owner, Silvia, was incredibly helpful in arranging transportation both to and from the property, and the drivers the hotel has a relationship with were kind and professional. Surprisingly the WiFi was a little lackluster in our room; we had better luck accessing the internet via cell service (which was great) - this did not impact our stay negatively at all.
- Inácio (10/5): Unforgettable Experience - Sometimes we come across places that we should be grateful to have had the opportunity to visit.
When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the owners and had our lunch.
We were alone in the hotel and Lucho invited us on a hike through the Sacred Valley and then light the 'fogaza' to tell us stories about the Incas and Peru. I can say that these were the best moments of our stay in the country.
I would like to thank the hosts immensely for their attention during our stay.
I would also like to highlight the friendliness of the staff as a whole.
Thank you and I hope to see you again in my lifetime. N/A
- Mariam (10/5): Highly recommend - Our stay at Sierra Sacred Valley was exceptional. Our hosts were friendly, hospitable and made us feel right at home. Hotel is in the beautiful Valleys of Cusco with stunning views - it is well equipped with a unique and cosy interior. We received a very warm welcome and an overall lovely stay.
- Ewout (10/5): Must visit if you are looking for a boutique hotel Sacred Valley - What a super nice surprise to find this just opened hotel at a super nice location. If you want to find a super comfortable boutique hotel of the beaten track book this hotel! The owners are super nice and helped us with a last minute trip to some attractions in the area. You can have a nice dinner at their place. And worth mentioning are the nice beds with super nice linnen. Nothing.
