Guest Reviews
- Sabina (9/5): -
- Jeanette Renk-Mulder (10/5): - The roof terrrace, the nicely decorated rooms, the central location (5 minutes to the main plaza and 3 minutes to a big supermarkets, many restaurants and shops) and the flexibility of the owner (we could check in 1 hour earlier).
- Elena (8/5): - La ubicación, muy cerca de la Plaza de Armas. Es un edificio colonial protegido,, lo que le da un escaneo adicional. Las casas del vecindario son muy humildes pero he de decir que es muy tranquilo y seguro.
- Virginia (8/5): Very good - Funky place in the heart of Arequipa! Wonderfully kind and helpful host and a good value.
- Marco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (6/5): Out of the six of us who were staying, two friends left because of the hassles with the owner and dodgy communication - Yulissa the caretaker was very helpful. Good location and clean. Lack of communication with payment. Throughout my booking.com confirmation there was no mention of cash only and US dollars preferred. My credit card was required and it stated it would be taken out in US dollars on the days rate. But when we got there they refused to take credit payment and only wanted cash. (Which we did have but they had no change) After 17 days on a tour and 15hrs in a bus it was not something we needed at that time. We also asked for an extra night prior to arrival which was accepted but the owner would not put this through booking.com. either.
- Mirco (10/5): TOP - As described on the pictures only cash payment
- Shane (10/5): Sensational - There was warm water in the showers!
Very helpful host
Great location and good sized apartment.
- Milena (10/5): Exceptional - A wonderful house in the center with two floors and a roof terrace with a view of the volcano! It was a real pleasure to be there. The staff was so polite, smiling and helpful.Highly recommend!
- Linh (9/5): Charming & quiet in ultra central location - Location Location Location. On a very safe street lined with local restaurants, hip coffee shops, small grocery shops5min walk from the main square, in the oldest tambo of the city, according to the very friendly and helpful hosts who received us. Which means the building is protected, which preserves all the charm and gives the feeling of living in a small quiet village rather than in Peru's second city, but limits modern installations (for ex. bathrooms are tiny and one could hear from the upper room our parents who were in the room below as if we were in the same room). There was no noise to be heard from the street though. The rooftop terrace is a delight to have the aperitif, with view on 2 volcanoes. Advise to keep the kitchen door closed in the night and when going out, not because of any security concerns but because of visits by cats... :) We think the thin wooden floor separating the ground from first floor could be better isolated and other small improvements (the step to enter the ground floor bedroom), while respecting the original building. Not a place for those with walking difficulties are there are steep and high stairs everywhere.
