- Skelton (10/5): -
- pauline (9/5): A lovely base for our 2 day stay - Lovely cosy quirky property with lots of space, the wine and water left for us was a nice touch . Spotlessly clean and the log burner ready to light . The only 1 thing was the squeaky bed frame - every time you moved it squeaked !
- Michal (10/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Beautiful character cottage in an easy to find location. Price was very competitive. - Beautiful cottage with lots of character Perhaps a couple of bottles of water would be nice

Very spacious, high spec decor, comfy bed, rain shower.
The log burner was a bonus.
Spotlessly clean.
Friendly host.
I will be booking for another stay. No kitchen but tea and coffee facilities plus a small fridge available.
Otherwise perfect
- david (10/5): - Beautiful and tasteful apartment Could find no fault
- Robert (10/5): -

- simon (10/5): My wife and I had a lovely stay, and felt right at home. Great value. - Great location, very quiet and felt safe. The property is lovely, very clean and modern, full of character and nice little touches.
Simply put, a lot of thought & effort has gone into this, to make your stay very nice & comfortable.
- Martin (10/5): - Beautiful accommodation. Complimentary glass of wine and fresh milk in the fridge, simple but great touches.
- Kim (10/5): The people who own the property were so lovely and helpful - It was a lovely location while still being close to the hospital. Getting cold water from the tap.
- John (9/5): A really great place to stay with a helpful and available host. - Very comfortable and relaxing property with plenty of space to relax. Log burner and wine a nice addition.
Kim handled all issues quickly and effectively and made us feel welcome and valued
The place was extremely clean and well maintained and warm. The key was very difficult to get to in the box. But we managed eventually.
The wifi was not working on arrival but Kim was very helpful in getting us back online. It is not the fastest though.
The TV's need replacing as they are too old to work effectively with new apps. Even Iplayer did not work most of the time.
These are all relatively small issues and can be resolved without much effort and cost.
- Pauline (10/5): Excellent accommodation full of character and charm but modern at the same time. - N/A No Kitchen or microwave
- Sarah (10/5): - Fabulous accommodation - clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and homely. It was a real treat to stay here and 100% better than a hotel room. Easy access, easy parking, very quiet, lots of country walks but also walking distance to Wilmslow and Lindow shops, cafes etc. Note this is not self catering so there is not a kitchen (hooray!) but there is a kettle and fridge. We look forward to returning soon. Leaving!
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Excellent stay - The property was spotlessly clean. There was a fridge with fresh milk. Sofas and dining table. It was quiet and had free secure parking with CCTV. Self-checkout was brilliant, as I left fairly early in the morning. Email of entry instructions got lost in my emails, as i received many emails from booking.com.
- Sharon (10/5): This place is unreal, what a retreat, if I could I would of stayed for a month, would definitely come back, it’s stunnin - Everything Nothing
- Laura (10/5): It was cosy, comfortable and stunning apartment. I’d definitely stay again. - It was a beautiful setting and apartment. It was very clean and had everything we needed. I felt safe as it was a gated area and the hosts were very responsive to messages.
- Emma (10/5): -
- Janet (9/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Stunning place! - Never stayed anywhere as clean, absolutely spotless! Warm, cosy, spacious - stunning! It perhaps could do with a kitchenette - I’d stay for longer then

- Joanne (10/5): -
- Carron (9/5): Lovely stay in a lovely home, the location was excellent and it was beautifully clean and comfortable. We will certainly - It was clean and comfortable, location was excellent. The welcome book with restaurant recommendations was a nice touch. Personally I prefer a softer pillow and a hair towel would have been handy.
- Pusztai (10/5): -
- John (9/5): Beautiful - Quality bathroom plus furniture.the place is very clean. Absolutely beautiful. Safe area Nothing
- Patrick (9/5): -
- Chris (8/5): Recommended - Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Host wanted a £25 fee for checking in early.
- Hanson (10/5): Excellent choice, close to the airport yet very very quiet. - We never did see the people, but they have all done themselves with a comfortable place and attention to detail. It is very close to the airport, impeccably, clean, big, comfortable bed, big, comfortable shower, and a nice little living room to enjoy. The Wi-Fi worked great and the instructions to get there were perfect. Nothing. It was an excellent day. I only give a 10 stars because that is the limit. Thank you people for the good service.
- Elaine (9/5): Much better option than airport hotels. - Quiet, secure location. Peaceful. No breakfast provided but a welcome tray was nice.(except for the out of date biscuits)! TVs.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Perfect for a little break away. - The property was stunning, it was really homely and tucked away in a beautiful spot.
- Richard (10/5): Wonderful just wonderful - Briarwood is an amazing place to stay with a beautiful furnishing and truly homely feeling Nothing
- Gemma (7/5): Nice but a bit uncomfortable - The location, the style and space. The bed is terribly small and very squeaky. My partner ended up sleeping on the couch.
The TV in the bedroom was very tinny and rattling in sound and the one in the lounge we couldn’t get to work.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location, very clean and comfortable There is no kitchen so no facilities to make meals, was fine for us foe a night but might be an issue if you were staying longer
- Johnson (10/5): Cosy getaway spot in a good location - The whole atmosphere of the place is cosy and inviting Nothing
- Johnson (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was clean it is warm and inviting Nothing
- Natasha (10/5): We had a lovely stay thankyou very much and very quick to answer any questions we had amazing hosts - Perfect Very cosy
- Lindsey (9/5): Loved it and will definitely return when I need a place in Cheshire. - Superb lounge with fire, such a relaxing place. The standard was superb and nice to have fresh milk, wine and fire laid. Loved it!
- Andrea (10/5): Perfect stopover - We have stayed before and Briarwood is beautiful and has everything you need for an overnight stay! The bed is lovely and comfortable and the shower is so good that you don’t want to get out.
Previous reviews mention lack of kitchen but it’s in the details! The host has provided a kettle and mini fridge and leaves milk in the fridge and tea bags/ coffee bags/ cappuccino sachets for you to use which is ideal (she also leaves mini bottles of wine which definitely go down well).
It’s beautiful and clean, warm and cosy and we will definitely be back if we’re flying from Manchester airport as it’s so convenient and peaceful The negative reviews as people just love a winge! Read the details as they are accurate and so are the photos- there is nothing about Briarwood that we don’t like
- Jessica (10/5): It was very food , we will definitly coming back 😊 - Is a small cottage , really cute , we love it .
- Jenny (10/5): Excellent - I liked the quiet location, the complimentary wine was a very nice thought
- Paula (9/5): Very relaxing - Location and comfort Kitchen facilities to make a meal
- Fiona (10/5): Fabulous stay will definitely book again!! - Log burner complete with everything you need just had to obviously buy top up logs. Comfortable bed, lovely hot shower, spacious. Extra duvet (my daughter slept on couch so ideal) beautiful, stunning surroundings and parking Struggling to find negatives but it’s a shame there are no facilities kitchen-wise to wash cups but we managed in the sink in the en-suite bedroom.
Bed not very long. I’m 5’8” and feet touched the end.
- Victoria (1/5): Aggressive Rude lady who lives next door who’s watching who’s visiting worst place - I was traveling with work and needed a place to stay a few of my clients for apps visited with a consultation I was going also go out on the evening and meet friends I was greeted by a loud bang on the door as I was getting ready to go out being told to leave as she had suspected I was inviting men over I found this woman really aggressive and very rude I am still waiting for my refund Very rude lives next door can’t have visitors that’s for sure
- Stephanie (9/5): Perfect place - Lovely cosy place, quiet, comfortable and thoughtful touches. Home from home vibe.
- Naomi (10/5): Quaint & perfect stay - This was an exceptional stay & at great value. The location was tranquil with some great local places & walks. This self contained little cabin has everything you need with more space than it seemed. I would highly recommend to others & would stay here again. Everything had been thought of for the basics you would need & it’s kept immaculate. With the open fire on a cold evening, made for a perfect stay!
- John (9/5): Beautiful, calm and stress free place that is spotless clean and welcoming. - Super comfy, very relaxing and stress free place. Beautiful surroundings and lovely hosts. Need to be able to self cater so just a small microwave, usable fridge and toaster would be great.
- Dan (9/5): What a gem. - The place was spotless. The fabulous facilities were great. The location for the airport couldn't have been better, and yet you couldn't hear the planes from inside the property.
The lovely touches of the wine, biscuits and milk were brilliant.
The shower was superb and the cleanliness, did I mention it's spotless? Lol.
The instructions on the email were flawless.
We've found a little gem here. It's just so wonderful They could've spent a little time filling in and painting the holes that were round both of the TVs. It let the place down a tiny bit.
Also the TV in the bedroom is past its sell by date - the sound was quite rattly and tinny. That's splitting hairs though, as the property and facilities were great overall!
- Ronald (9/5): Boss everything you need for a comfy stay - Very clean, easy to get in and out.
Very warm on arrival. Comfy furniture, modern, overall very pleased. Bed a little small but used to bigger bed at home.
- Adam (10/5): Stunning place and location - can’t rate highly enough - This place is absolute stunning. I travel to the area every few months for business and normally stay in a chain hotel - this is 100% my new place to stay every time I travel up Nothing - couldn’t fault a thing
- Adam (9/5): Superb - Great location, lovely decor and furnishings, spacious rooms, fantastic check in instructions Cardboard box behind lounge tv odd, no curtains in bedroom hall area, cottage hall and dining area so not very private
- Ries (10/5): Such a fantastic place to stay - Warm, cosy, great location and incredibly clean.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Just an absolutely lovely place to spend quality.time before flying off in the morning from Manchester airport.
Highly recommend.
- Josephine (9/5): Very comfortable easy access to airport but very quiet - Location easy to find and park.
Quick response to text and email didn't meet owners.
Beautiful property comfortable and quiet. Also warm which was appreciated on a cold very wet day. Nothing
- Alfred (10/5): Excellent. - Very comfortable. Lots of space. Amazing design and taste. Top notch bathroom shower etc. Super bed and mattress. Small wood fire stove with starter logs. Beautiful wooded neighborhood. Same price as crappy airport hotels but only ten minutes further to drive. Just like the photos. No kitchenette. No ice.
- Andrea (10/5): Great location and beautiful cottage - Location was perfect for staying the night before we flew from Manchester Airport and was in walking distance of Hickory’s for our evening meal- secure entry via electric gates and marked parking space so we knew our car was safe. The cottage was bigger than we expected and the bed super comfy. Coffee/tea and milk were left by host and the shower was excellent- we had an early flight so were able to lock up and leave without disturbing anyone- we’d highly recommend this and will hopefully stay again Nothing as we loved it
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the property was excellent!
- Allie (9/5): Delightfully perfect - The property was stunning and in a beautiful location. Very quiet, considering the proximity to Manchester airport. The decor was first class There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Well appointed, conveniently located for Manchester Airport but quiet. Lovely touches from host included provisions: tea, coffee, wine, fresh milk. No kitchen but cutlery and china provided for takeaways. Nothing
- Caroline (10/5): Large open space to relax in. Very pretty! - Beautiful place. Lovely furnishings. Did take me a while to work out which gate it was. Everything clean & just so pretty. Little treats were nice. Only thing I could add as a suggestion. Coffee mug option , as I like a big brew 🙂. Just a lovely property. I got woken up by a barking dog at 3am . I’m not sure if it had escaped from somewhere.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Clean
Location
Grounds are stunning
Inside the property is beautiful Not really a dislike but maybe the option for logs or what is used for the fireplace as I'd imagine it be stunning later on
- Peter (9/5): Very comfortable - Plenty of space, nice and quiet Terrestrial tv was tricky to sort out.
- Gary (9/5): Home from home - There was nothing not to like about Briarwood, very clean and well presented property in a great location for local amenities. It was like home from home for us. The only reason Briardwood doesn't get a ten out of ten for us is because it doesn't have an option for you to cater for yourself I.e. a little kitchen area. However, everything else about the property is wonderful. We would definitely recommend it to family and friends and would stay again.
- Winona (7/5): A good place to stay close to the airport. - No breakfast offered. Coffee available to make. We did not read the book as we arrived late and could not find more than towels for one person. A bath towel and a large hand towel.
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional property, a hidden gem - Location lovely, 5 star and personal touches make the difference Nothing to dislime
- Simon (9/5): Great for an over night stay in a quiet leafy suburb. - Great quiet location, ideal for an overnight stay. Very spacious rooms and loved the inglenook fireplace. No telephone charging points. Small fridge.
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely accommodation, peaceful and quiet.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - A hidden gem everything was excellent
- Stellalight (10/5): Tranquil Gem - This is a tranquil gem. So comfortable and clean.Feels like you are somewhere completely remote but you are still within walking distance of a pub, a nature reserve and the town is not far. it is lovely and private. Would recommend
- Lyndsey (10/5): A lovely place just to get away from day to day life. - Picturesque cottage. Romantic setting. Property was clean and had plenty of facilities some were a lovely touch
- Jt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): Fantastic location and very well presented lodgings - Beautifully presented. Lovely layout with great touches such as wine and tea/coffee facilities. Location perfect for walking into wilmslow
- Steven (10/5): The hosts were fantastic and could not have been more welcoming. -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional property, great host and perfect location. - Fantastic property, excellent location. A real gem! Nothing
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property in the heart of the countryside in walks distance of Wilmslow. Excellent quality & the wine and biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch. Cosy lounge & beautiful dining area over looking the garden. Gorgeous bathroom & comfortable bed. Would have been nice to be able to sit outside on the rare sunny day we visited but understand this may be difficult due to being annex to main property. Also no fridge which may be more of an issue had we been staying more than one night, but didn’t spoil our stay. Parking instructions may need to be clearer to avoid issue for the host. I almost left the car for a number of hours pulled up on the gravel to right. Access appears to be needed through to the field so better to pull into field & Park there which is what I did in the end.
