There was just a small mosquito issue in the main bedroom. I’d also recommend checking the key drop-off instructions in advance to make the process easier. :)
• Amber (1/5): Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price - NIL We booked this property expecting a basic coastal shack with charm, but what we got was far below acceptable standards. The nightly rate of over $350 per night is unjustifiable given the condition and experience. The main bedroom had moldy curtains, which was not only unpleasant but raised serious concerns about cleanliness and health. Most frustratingly, there was a planned power outage from 9am to 4pm that we were never informed about. No electricity meant no water, no shower, no morning coffee—nothing. We had to abandon the property for the entire day. This kind of disruption should have been clearly communicated in advance. It’s unacceptable for a property to be listed without transparency or basic upkeep. Would not recommend until significant improvements are made.
• Castles (3/5): Disappointing and does not represent value for money. - No hot water first day and night. Not turned on and property not prepared for our arrival. Had to find and turn on ourselves when discovered at bedtime. It should be noted in description that showers are step-in. Bathrooms & bedrooms are not shown in pictures. Furniture uncomfortable. Refurbishment needed

• Valerie (7/5): Beautiful place due to the location and quaintness of the area. Shame on the lack of cleanliness although we slept comfo - Location was amazing, absolutely perfect spot! The beds were also incredibly comfortable and the area was very quiet and relaxing It had dead huntsman spiders inside the property. The place didn’t seem very clean and we had to wash all cutlery and plates before using them. Old food was in the pantry.
• Peter (5/5): Appreciated that the heat pump worked well over a freezing weekend . - The view . No power on arrival in the dark had to find meter box to switch on power .No welcoming tea bags or bottle of milk .
• Suzie (6/5): Cheap & cheerful, good views, owner could stock more of the kitchen basics - View, access to beach & easy to find via Great Ocean Road, “cheap & cheerful”, good parking, comfortable beds. Property looking tired, very basic bathrooms, had to purchase basic items to use the property such as: toilet paper, kitchen bin liners, dishwashing liquid (bare minimum of these were left in property). We had to plug up ant hole so kitchen wasn’t overrun with ants each morning.
