The staff were super friendly, polite, and respectful. It was a pleasure to stay there. Although perfectly situated near the airport, the location is a little bit off the main roads.

Since the hotel was clean, we preferred to have our meals there as well. However, we had to wait at least 45 minutes for the food to be prepared after each order

Stuff were partly unprofessional, especially when loud neighboring guests decided to get drunk and watch a football match until 1:30am (no action until three calls taken and got loud) Direct neighborhood did not feel safe, especially at night. Rooms echo a lot, you hear everything.

• Hiba (1/5): Not worth a penny - nothing it was cold, food was cold, the lady at the front desk was rude and the shuttle driver who we asked to drive us to another location with payment was very rude, aggressive and told me to go back to my country.
• Hiba (1/5): Cold with cockroaches - Absolutely nothing The lady at the front desk was unhelpful, it was very cold.. the food in the restaurant often took over an hour and was always cold. There was also a cockroach in our room.

It's on a side street and the main road is currently quite bad with many potholes so sometimes cab drivers complain or cancel. Not the hotels fault though.
• Bruce (3/5): Cannot Recommend - No Hot Water - The room was nice, very upscale. They included slippers and a bathrobe. The room was the nicest we have stayed in in Addis. The restaurant was OK, the "butter chicken" was good despite not being butter chicken, but the service was slow. I really liked being forced to take a cold shower because there was no hot water . NO HOT WATER. I did not pay so much to take a cold shower. The staff was lukewarm at best, acting as though helping us was an inconvenience. The light in the bathroom would not shut off, it was on a motion sensor. I didn't need to be blinded at 2am when I went to the bathroom.

• Chiara (8/5): Modern and very clean - had a very nice stay :-) - The building itself is very new and extremely clean! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The breakfast had a very good choice of food. What I liked the most was the staff (Michael) - absolutely incredible and helpful in everything. Depending on what you are looking for, the location is not great. It’s quite central and close to the airport, so you can easily and quickly reach many places by taxi, but the area in not suitable for a late afternoon / evening stroll. There’s not much around.

• Jeannene (10/5): Janu is perfect!! Five star staff!!! - The staff was absolutely top notch. No matter what we needed, they were so attentive and genuinely welcoming. Michael was simply amazing and super helpful. He literally treated us like family. Bisrat was on point all the time when we needed taxis or directions. Both Michael and Bisrat consistently went above and beyond. The rest of the staff was extremely attentive as well. The location was perfect for where we needed to be everyday and getting local transportation was never an issue. Rooms were absolutely immaculate. Although there is a restaurant on the property, there is limited places outside the hotel in close proximity to dine.

• Alexandra (8/5): Great hotel with great service for a good price! - The rooms are beautiful and very cosy beds. All rooms had a little fridge, tea maker and smart tv. Shower was also great. The staff was so nice and helpful! Breakfast was good and the coffee amazing. Good internet connection and the generator kicks in immediately when there are power cuts. Also its a bit away from the main road so its quiet at night! They have shuttle service to the airport. The price was more than fair and we will be back for sure. Thanks loads to the great team at Jano Hotel 🙌🏽 We had to wait very long for dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was only ok. The shower leaked and after the nice hot shower the bathroom, toilet and toiletpaper would be very wet. But this is a construction error. These are the only improvements that could be made! Nevertheless we would choose Jano Hotel again!

• Michele (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel is new and clean. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are spotless and comfortable. The food is dangerous. I had a bad experience, I got an infection due to food poisoning and I couldn't eat for my entire stay. This is why I rated 6 out of 10.
• Elin (10/5): A good pick near the airport - Super helpful staff welcomed me, directed me to where I wanted to go and allowed me a later checkout when I wasn't feeling well. Sparkling clean and near the airport, including an efficient airport shuttle. A bit of a back alley location. Close to the airport, but the streets nearby are not great for walking (I did and was safe)

Highly recommend it - Jano is a brand new hotel, exceptionally clean, with excellent staff service. Everyone was very friendly, polite and accommodating. Danite Salomon and all the woman at the front desk were all very kind and helpful with any questions and directions. Buffet style breakfast was complimentary, with plenty of fresh juices, fruit, vegetables and other continental foods. Location is near the airport and shopping centers for last minute purchases. I will definitely stay at Jano on my next Ethiopian trip
