- PAUL (8/5): -
- Bernadette (9/5): Romantic little get away, close to Knaresborough and Harrogate. Perfect - Stylish. Very clean. Everything you need. Location is fabulous - peace and quiet.
We enjoyed the secret garden - it’s crying out for fairy lights in the evening though! Nothing
- Stella (9/5): Staying at the smithy was delightful and I would stay there again. - It was clean, comfortable and the location was super. There was specific parking which was great, but I think it might be useful to say the dimensions of the gate through which you have to park. It was quite tight for me but a bigger car wouldn’t have been able to get through the gate.
- Sharon G (10/5): Its a great place to stay for relaxing, walking or even shopping. - It was very peaceful Nothing
- Shannon (10/5): Booked a stay with my partner to see family and we had the best weekend there, was a lovely place to stay and would defi - The property was well looked after, very well maintained and it was perfect for the weekend. Would definitely stay again. Nothing, the property was perfect!
- Wendy (8/5): - Fabulous self contained accommodation. Really comfy sofa for watching telly. Super comfy bed.
Great kitchen facilities.
Would happily return for another stay.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect in every way ! - Stunning property, everything you could possibly want for a relaxing break.
Warm and comfortable accommodation, with lots of little touches to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Tea, coffee, sugar milk and filter coffee which was a lovely surprise. Shampoo, shower gel provided. They also provided Netflix and Prime so spoilt for choice at night.
Fabulous communication with owner of property.
Loved everything about it ! N/A
- Joy (9/5): Great stay - Very peaceful, tidy and clean, hosts left the normal tea, coffee but also milk which was a nice touch. Lovely all round set up. This is nothing much, and would not stop us staying again but for us we were in a van so could not park in the allocated space by The Smithy..
- emily (10/5): -
- Hannah (9/5): Lovely stay! - Had everything we needed, including all the little extra things, like condiments, tea bags and coffee, towels etc! Parking was a but tricky for 2 cars.

- Alison (10/5): Weekend away - Lovely quiet location. A gem of a place . The accommodation was good. The owners have a book explaining the history of the place. There are photos showing how much work it took to create what they have done. Plompton Rocks on the doorstep is a great place to explore. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing all good
- Elizabeth (10/5): Comfortable - Great place Nothing
- Hazz (10/5): The location is great, really peaceful but you're close to busier places if needed. - We went for the peaceful location and weren't disappointed. We have been before and will go again. A little more cutlery!

- Sarah (9/5): Great find not far from York - Lovely cosy cottage, with comfortable bed and lovely sofa to recline on in the evening. Nicely decorated for Christmas. Having a guaranteed parking space when you returned after a day out was a bonus and can even accommodate a VW transporter with careful maneuvering. 😊 Nothing.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michaela (10/5): A lovely property in a lovely location. A great couples getaway. - The location was great, nice and secluded but only a short drive to both Harrogate and Knaresborough. The Smithy was fully equipped with everything you need and more. A great property we will be visiting again. Only slight comment I can think of is the shower temperature goes up and down and ideally would be more powerful.
- Catherine (8/5): Country cottage mini break - Lovely location and great size accommodation with all the required amenities. Nice and quiet stay. Space not as clean as expected. The bathroom sink area hadn't been cleaned.
- Kath (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous stay in a great location
- Ian (8/5): all good. - lovely property, very quiet we arrived in the dark, although Sat Nav took us right to the door.......reversing through the narrow gate & was an experience. not for the nervous
- Kerry (7/5): Comfortable, cosy and very peaceful . - The location was really good for visiting York ,Knaresborough and Harrogate etc . Place was very warm and cosy , wifi and smart TV were really good . Parking wasn't ideal as turning area very ,very wet and muddy and quite difficult to reverse into area . Bath sheets although lovely and fluffy were a little small . There were alot of cobwebs around I appreciate its a very old building but some of it was due to not being cleaned thoroughly not a big issue but would have scored higher but for this .
- Stefan (10/5): Cosy little place for couples - Very clean on arrival, very cosy little place perfect for couples. Didn’t take long for the place to warm up as heating worked well. - Martin (9/5): Great short stay. - Great place to stay to visit the surrounding areas. Well equipped. Very quiet. Designated parking spot. There was nothing we didn’t like about our stay at the smithy.
