• Roelofse (5/5): Passable - The staff were friendly, the sunrise view from the balcony spectacular. The location was also very suitable for what we needed. The cables of the lamps looked like it had been chewed by rats. The other one had no cover for the switch and cables were exposed. The bed was creaky and you could hear every move someone made on it. And with it being a shared room, it was quite frustrating. It also is not 100%clear that there is a communal kitchen and we were not orientated where it was. I tried contacting the hosts before the time as requested, but could not get through to them. But luckily eventually got a hold of them. I do think the orientation of facilities and procedures regarding dropping off the key when you leave could be better explained as well.

LOVED THE BED WE SLEPT ON, AS WELL AS THE BLANKET! Super cozy and clean! We would recommend this place without a doubt. Wifi, dstv, netflix, all is there The owner also made sure that his tenants feel safe when visiting. There's cameras where needed (Still private enough), an alarm system fully functional with panic buttons and quick alarm response as well as locks with trelly doors and motor gate. Very thoughtful. When booking the place, please be sure to properly inform the owner of the size of your trailers or caravans as the main entrance and drive way, may cause a battle to get through to the top. But not a problem. They do have another entrance and will gladly assist you getting into the yard scratch and dent free! I was a bit skeptical about sharing the house with other tenants, as we are used to our own private complete unit, meaning our own kitchen own dining room or tv room, but with all honesty, the place is so properly set out that there is no stress of being in someone's way, or of being in another family's conversations, or privacy (Although you would lose a bit of privacy when cooking, dining at the table or TV room or when swimming) but not a train smash. The owner has really made sure that each and every tenant has enough privacy to be able to share a home with different people without causing a disturbance to one another. Rules are set out properly, which makes staying in a home with others a joy. Thank you, Fred & Josephine, for the best stay, you will be seeing us again soon. I can't recall seeing anything that we did not like.

The bar fridge, pool and large communal kitchen were a nice extra. Location was great to tour and close to halaal facilities. Free wifi a bonus. No complimentary toiletries or refreshments (tea, coffee..) as advertised. The furnishings and decor need a face-lift to make the rooms more welcoming and comfortable.

We finally checked in after 16h00 and the second room was not ready.
