Guest Reviews
- Meera (7/5): - It was value for money, comfortable stay. As two women travelling, was safe as well. Location is nice.
A little away from the city centre. So you'll have to go around the river to go to main places in Hampi, but is conveniently accessible via highway The cleanliness and the thinness of walls.
Also SO MANY bugs everywhere. But that's expected given that it's ok the middle of dense tree cover
- Ghadse (7/5): - It would be good if the rooms had hot water services. This time we had to go out of room to take hot water in bucket

- Guest (7/5): - Overall good area and peaceful The food was good, but less salt in some items. Slight improvement needed in food but still fine
- M S (1/5): Totally disappointed - Though we did not had breakfast there.. location is not upto the mark There is no hot water facility inside the cottage ,no regulater to control the fan where me and my four other friends stayed ..no comfortable beds ,full of masqitoes. We stayed in the much better cottage with the same price as here...with ac.

- Lisa (9/5): Loved our time at Lazy Panda 😊 - It is simple but homely accommodation.
Really nice set up with great, helpful staff.
Food was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here away from the hustle and bustle.
- Idan (7/5): Good value but very basic in a lot of ways. - We were staying at the "Crazy Panda" not the "Lazy Panda" which is owned by the same owner. Crazy Panda is the new one about 200 meters from Lazy Panda.
Friendly staff, good food, affordable. The huts are super noisy, staff was drinking and playing loud music up until midnight which literally felt like it was outside our door. Shower only has cold water, which in winter might be... challenging..
- Sushmita (1/5): Bad -
- Shashi (9/5): Superb -
- Tanna (9/5): Superb -

Good experience!! None
- Dorak (2/5): Overpriced property - We have been overpriced almost double the regular price of the season. It’s overpriced
- Rajendra (5/5): Passable - Location was good Bathroom was below expectation, the food areas was not clean.
- Katore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kumar (5/5): Overall it wasn’t as expected while booking. - The owner and staff are very cooperative. The facilities in the room could have been better.
- Healthy (5/5): Pretty but rustic, inconvenient location and I got ill - It looks stylish, it's in a quiet area surrounded by rice paddies, I loved the ambience of the restaurant/lounge - chilled out music and lighting, friendly staff. I arrived around 5.30am before check in and was given a blanket and could sleep on thin mattresses with pillows in the lounge/restaurant which I was very grateful for. It's very rustic, feels like camping. There was a frog in my toilet, a lizard and grasshopper on my clothes. I ate vegetable momos in the lounge/restaurant and 4 hours later I got food poisoning. My bathroom in hut number 7 didn't have toilet paper and was very basic. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk to the boat crossing but you have to wait for a boat or wade waist-high through water to get to Hampi village/temples. The last boat is around 5/5.30pm. After that, as there isn't a bridge over the river, tuk tuks have to drive all the way around from Hampi village to Lazy Panda which is expensive.
- Ram (7/5): Good -
- Debanjan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jishnu (9/5): Superb -
- Sachin (3/5): This is suitable for bachelors who want to party in night and wake up late in morning - Location of Hotel, Parking space Hot water for bath was not provided. We have to get a bucket and walk from our room till the kitchen place to get hot water from the gas geyser, you have to wait in que to get your no. Each bucket fill time is around 10 mins.
Tea is available only after 8.30 am in the morning
They don't provide daily room clean facilities like changing bed cover, new towel, soap and shampoo, only you will get room clean at the time of check-in
- Nagacharan (9/5): Superb -
- Sindhu (2/5): Very poor - I would say the place and how the rooms and built is not for Indians what is personally feel is it's built to attract tourists..
- Mihir (7/5): Good -
- Mazhar (9/5): Superb -
- Guna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gayatri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dinesh (9/5): Great place to stay. - Great ambience, great location, one side moutain, other side river, beautiful place, cozy huts, good food. Great chai. Washrooms are bit poorly managed , but that is okay, as it is hut /cottage
- Pravi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neelima (7/5): Good -
- Sahukar (8/5): Very good -
- Aditya (9/5): Superb -
- Prashantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nupur (9/5): Good service, helpful staff, comfortable stay and great food...would recommend. - The food was scrumptious (especially the daal tadka) and the staff were very polite and helpful. + provided 2 wheeler rental facilities and tie ups with auto for trave Hot water isnt available kn the room (but can be availed from near the kitchen)
- Mukesh (8/5): Very good -
- Mariami (9/5): Superb -
- Sara (7/5): Nothing special - Location is nice, isolated and feels very rural
Owner let us take a shower after check out
Beers were available on request
Food was good The staff doesn't speak English, only the owner
The staff spend all day lying in the common area, playing very loud music - the same tune all over again
They could spend some time cleaning the common area instead
Food was a bit expensive, can find better prices elsewhere
Mouse in the bathroom, which I guess it's because of the location
- Nikita (4/5): Disappointing - Nice room for expensive price. We ask before the manager about the riksha take us from the other city.
Normal price from Hospete to Hampi 700 maximum 1000
They are took from us 1500.
Bike for rent 500
Found in the city for 250.
So trying to catch us much us it possible from tourist.. Be careful.
Prices in the cafe on the territory are crazy.
By the way the other cafe with hotels same crazy price, because only one print place in the city where they are making menu, thats why everyone took the same.
Chai 60 rupees
- K (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shraddha (9/5): Superb - Staff is nice and helpful.
Location is quite good.
- Girija (5/5): Passable - Location, view and staff behaviours Room, no privacy
- Erica (8/5): Very good - Quiet spot. Cute houses. Nice common area. Good food at the inside restaurant. A place with a lot of potential. The staff is very nice but doesn’t speak english at all, so no help if you need. The manager supposed to be there to help us, but everytime an excuse and didn’t come. Far from Hampi but in a nice area! Dirty, from the bedshit, to the floor to the common area.
The houses beeing in bamboo are not soundproof at all so we will hear our neighbours on the phone, even the person in the phone. We were lucky one night no neighbours while the other we had to ask to speak lower.
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bhabesh (8/5): Very good -
- Marianne (4/5): Please don’t go to this place as a single female traveler - I really liked the location and the food I wouldn’t recommend going there as a single female traveler. There were not many other travelers around in the evening and I felt unsafe because of a situation with the host.
- Federico (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Devendra (8/5): Very good -
- Seshadri (8/5): Very good - It was not a permenent construction ,so nearby roommates can hear what we talk.
- Tea (10/5): Exceptional - Very helpful and very kind staff - very proffesional. The location - by auto riksa it takes quite long to come there.
- Leonid (6/5): You can stay for one or two nights. - The rooms are bungalows. It's stylish. Convenient location of sockets The bungalows are made of hay. There is no soundproofing, so all noise is heard. The bungalows are close to each other, there is no privacy.
- Ivo (6/5): We loved to see Hampi and all the old monuments. People are very friendly. - The food of the restaurant The location indicated is not TRUE. It´s very far from HAMPI. 30 mn by TAXI. On Booking the location was very near Hampi Center.
- Nassim (9/5): Superb - Very beautiful place with green forest close
- M (7/5): Good -
- Adeeti (7/5): Good -
- Sanjay (9/5): Superb -
- Sundeep (4/5): Disappointing -
- Neeraj (9/5): Superb -
- Blonde (4/5): Disappointing - I had a good sleep A lot of dirty in the place
- Anubhav (6/5): Pleasant - It was ok. Food was nice.
- Ramchandra (1/5): Bad -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harrison (9/5): Great for a short stay in Hampi. - The staff were fantastic and were able to help with all requests.
- Mrudula (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel location is very convenient with easy access as it is situated along the road. However, there is room for improvement in the parking facility, and it would be beneficial to enhance this aspect. . The food at the property fell short of expectations and there is scope for improvement. The quality of the food did not meet the desired standard. The value for money aspect needs attention. Additionally, it would be advantageous to provide hot water facilities in the bathrooms for a more comfortable stay. One notable suggestion is to offer tea in the morning, as well as considering an earlier opening time for the kitchen, preferably before 9 am
- Anu (2/5): Very poor -
- Avnish (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (4/5): Loved the location of the property but highly disappointed when it comes to food and dining area. Also the cleanliness o - Liked the location of the property They need to work on their hygiene part. Dining area was quite dirty. Worst part is they were cleaning the table with a broom which they were using to clean the floor.
Also I doubt if they change the bed sheets after guests check out. I asked them to change the sheet but they gave me different reason saying they can’t change now…they can only change once the manager is here which is unacceptable.
- Niklas (7/5): Very Happy all around, i would recommend the huts way more than the tents though :) - Location is very nice would recommend a scooter though. Book a hut! It's worth it and has a bathroom just for you :) The tents get really hot in the morning and mine was slanted which is not great.
- Ankit (6/5): Pleasant -
- George (7/5): Ok ok - Kind of eco friendly The people who are handling the property don’t know what they are doing ..
- Vitthal (1/5): Bad -
- Lona (8/5): Very good -
- William (5/5): Passable - Concept is good, location attractive but a long way from main historic sites of Hampi
The surrounding hills are impressive and beautiful. Service in restaurant was poor.
No drinking water offered in room
Furniture is limited to bed and two small wicker tables.
Bathroom is a wet roon with only cold running water.
- Tabassum (2/5): Very poor -
- Kalyan (5/5): Not for families with kids - Won’t recommend this if you are going with family.
1. There is no hot water gyser, you need to carry water from nearby whenever needed. No support offered by staff, they say please carry how much ever water u need!
2. Food served at restaurant is good - but costly cleanliness wise both rooms and restaurant area are poorly maintained and below acceptable standards
3. Except a series of bamboo huts and nearby rice field, this place offers nothing!
4. Many insects and mosquitoes inside room and restaurant- not a pleasant experience! Bedsheets are also no changed after usage and they stink
5. Not at all value for money! Please go only if you want to experiment something new, but at the cost of hygiene and money! View of paddy filed next to the property is good
Tasty food
- Ramalakshmi (8/5): Good place to visit!! - The overall experience was really good! The staff especially the manager was excellent Location was in the interior. Food was expensive
- Matthieu (8/5): Very good - Quiet, it also provides few sightseeing away from Hampi. Perfect for a peaceful night with all amenities and food available on spot. Nature and wildlife at your doorstep
- Ellinor (10/5): Cozy cabin and nice staff - Our stay at Lazy Panda was amazing. The cabin was cozy and the hang out area/restaurant was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a calm area, but a bit away from the sightseeing, but it was nothing that bothered us
