Guest Reviews
- Maria Del Mar (7/5): -
- Oscar (6/5): Cumple para pasar una noche - Cerca de la carretera principal y básico para estar de paso una noche Mucho ruido por la carretera y por el personal desde las 6 am cómo si no hubiera clientes durmiendo allí.
- Nelly (8/5): A good hotel for one night transit, not for leisure holiday. - Good hotel and very clean A little noisy, as it is located by the main road
- Henk (6/5): Never again - not that many very bad food provide as breakfast. If you want to eat lunch or dinner go to town. This place order also from outside, what is very bad in quality. The crew in the restaurant and behind the bar are more playing with their mobile devices as keep the guest satisfied.
- Gaia (10/5): Exceptional - Clean room, lovely staff! They’re really nice and caring🥹 tasty and varied breakfast (rice, sides, tea, coffee, fruits, vegetables!!)🫶🏼 didn’t try the pool but it looked good! If I’ll ever come back to Waikabubak I would definitely choose Morika Inn again Everything was great, maybe only the shower water came out very slowly!
- Barb (8/5): Very good - Yes they have internet.
Quiet. Nice pool. Good food. Lovely staff. Good beds. Very nice overall
- Melissa (8/5): Good place to stop with security, clean and comfortable. - Clean, safe spot for a few nights. Nice pool, decent room and bed. Wifi didn’t work. Very grumpy male staff near the coffee in the mornings. The other staff were sweet and lovely!
- Borja (4/5): Uncomfortable bed (you can feel the springs) with high pillows - The room was relatively cheap, it is in a quite area, and there is a swimming pool Unfortunately, you can feel the springs in the bed which makes it impossible to have a good night sleep. A comfortable bed is the only requirement for an hotel. In addition pillows are too high. There was also an event in the main restaurant so it was noisy early in the morning with a lot of people around. I do not recommend. We booked two nights but we left after one. I would not recommend this place
- Constantini (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (4/5): Don’t stay here unless truly necessary - There was little to like - the pool was nice the room was ok. The staff were very unhelpful. I spoke to them in Indonesian and asked about dinner - they showed me an adequate menu at 5:30 at 7 when the restaurant opened most things had been covered on the menu leaving only fried chicken and only ice tea or water to drink.
The hotel is along way from the centre of Waikabubak there is no transport hotel staff would not organise any even a mini mart is a long walk.
Breakfast was not good - greasy long cooked eggs some greasy rice and a few fried vegetables no drink unless you bought water and some tea/coffee
I truly see no reason to stay here - we only booked because we thought road travel in this area would be slower. All off the sites in this area can be easily accessed from the south coast or Tambolaka area.
- Kristel (7/5): Not for backpackers - De kamers met de bedden en matrassen. We booked this hotel because we wanted to discover the south side of Sumba. We had read in a review that scooters were rented out, but this appears not to be the case. Perhaps our own fault, but after 8 months of traveling through Asia we were able to rent scooters everywhere. It's a good hotel, comfortable beds but the restaurant is closed. Without transportation you will be lost here. Not a single restaurant nearby. Definitely a no-go for backpackers. We left after 30 minutes.
