• Caroline (10/5): The best stay in Thissio! - Mary did an incredible job at making the entire space warm and welcoming. She greets you with a smile and offers wonderful recommendations. The location was perfect- close to markets, green spaces, restaurants, and more. I’m very glad I stayed here!

• Morgane (10/5): Great place and amazing host - The appartment has everything you might need arriving in Athenes : great location in Theseio, all the equipement you might need and more (like extra coffee / biscuits / juice and water for breakfast), comfortable beds and hot shower... But best of all, the appartment has its owner, Mary, who's very helpful (from information about strikes and/or trafic to food recommandations) and extremely kind. 100% recommand.

• Chelsea (9/5): - The apartment was clean and cutely decorated. Mary even left me some snacks , several coffee options, and drinks in the fridge. She met me outside the apartment. The only thing I didn't care for was that the linens and smell of the apartment had a strong perfume/fragrant smell that was a bit overpowering.

She really amazed us with how well she treated us and helped us with every aspect of our trip. The apartment is super cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy as well. During our stay my wife and I kept talking about how we loved the location of the apartment and thought we picked the best place. Thank you so much Mary. Anybody considering staying here will be very glad they did. Everything was perfect.

• yi zhen chen (10/5): Brilliant location, very nice and helpful host, highly recommended. - Mary is a very nice host. Our flight was delayed for nearly 3 hours. Got to the apartment after 11pm. Mary was there greeting us, hand over keys and made us very welcome. The location of the apartment is within walking distance to most major attractions. It is quite at night so guarantee a good night sleep. nothing at all

Hatta gezilecek yerler ve gidilebilecek restaurant / kafe tarzı yerlere ilişkin bir rehber bile hazırlamıştı. Üstelik ilk gün için atıştırmalık ve bir şişe şarap da dahil güzel bir kompliman paketi de bize ikram etti. Ev özenle temizlenmişti ve her türlü ihtiyacı karşılayacak ekipmana da sahipti. Atina’da artık ikinci bir evimiz var gibi hissediyoruz. Her şey için çok teşekkürler Mary! .

The apartment is very cozy, very clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed for our stay. The street is quiet and everyone had a great sleep. Highly recommend Mary’s place!

• Francesco (10/5): Amazing quiet apartment in the heart of Athens! - Such an amazing place and such an amazing host! Mary met us at the apartment when we arrived and welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of wine, snacks, drinks, food for our breakfast, milk, different types of coffee and tea! She was very nice in explaining the area, where to eat and what to do in and around Athens during our stay. She was also extremely responsive any time we sent her a message. As for the apartment, we loved it! It is a nice, spacious flat in the historical center of Athens, however, being in a pedestrian side street it was extremely quiet. We did not hear any noise from the neighbours either. The apartment has everything you need even for a longer stay (we stayed one week) and is really comfortable. We loved the decor as well. The bed was comfortable, the WiFi very fast, the location amazing. We truly felt at home and we will stay there again, next time we are in Athens. Thank you Mary! Nothing at all: everything was perfect.
• Jeff (10/5): Highly recommend - Everything about the apartment was great, beginning with Mary personally meeting me there a bit early (she also let me check out late). Super host, always available, great communication. The location is superb, quiet residential street but only 4 minutes walk to Monastiraki (everywhere was walkable from this location). The apartment itself has basically everything you need including a smart TV for streaming (Netflix, etc.) and 3 different ways to make coffee, full size refrigerator, wooden balcony door shutters to block out the light, even the shower was great, complete with soap, shampoo, etc. The apartment also has a washing machine. I highly recommend Mary's place and will definitely stay here again when I return to Athens. Her high rating is deserved. Thanks Mary! Nothing, it all exceeded expectations.

She allowed us to check in earlier and she waited for us at her apartment to welcome us despite her busy schedule for the Christmas preparation. Her communication was excellent and she provided us with a very good local Greek restaurants recommendation. Her apartment is well located in the Thisio area with everything within walking distance (restaurants/mini markets/bakeries/metro station/local sightseeing places). We could walk everywhere very easily and it is in a secure neighborhood. The apartment is very clean, comfortable bed and well equipped. We had a lovely stay and we highly recommended for those looking for a comfy homestay. Thank you, Mary! None

The apartment was very comfortable for me and my two adult sons and we slept, ate and lived as a perfect home-from-home. The welcoming touches provided by Mary were superb and the instructions, communication and support offered were splendid. The location of the apartment is in a wonderful district with bars and restaurants a stone's throw away. The metro is on the doorstep and - most importantly - are all the major attractions in Athens. I will be back again, and yes ... there IS something about Mary. If anyone finds something they do not like about this apartment, then they have unrealistic standards. There is nothing to dislike!

A clean and well-equipped apartment in a great location: 5 minutes from the nearest Metro and a 10 minute stroll to Monastiraki Square. • John (10/5): Mary is extraordinary, and her place is definitely one of a kind. - Mary has a bubbly personality and met us at the property to let us in. The previous occupant had checked out early, so Mary made the apartment available to us as soon as we arrived in the morning, for which we were grateful. There were goodies, a plate of fruit, and a welcome bottle of rosé wine. There is a wonderful bakery just a block away with fresh goods, including spinach pies and delectable cakes, also delicious espresso drinks. In the full kitchen (hot plates, microwave, full-size refrigerator) there were three different ways to make coffee with the corresponding grinds of coffee. The apartment consisted of a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bath, all highly decorated in Mary's ornate style. The mattress was comfortable. The location was a five-minute walk from metro station, the archeological sites, restaurants, etc. Mary gave us a handwritten list of restaurants where the local folks eat, which we highly appreciated. She offered that she would be available day or night for any questions or problems we might have. In short, it was the perfect place for our stay in Athens. There was an elementary school / day care? with a playground just across the street, and the level of the kids' shouting during the day was a wonder of nature. With the front windows closed, however, most of the noise was shut out. Otherwise, it was a very quiet street (no traffic), and there was absolutely no noise in the evening and during the night.

• Peter (10/5): great location lovely host and perfect apartment - What a wonderful place to stay. There are many great things to say. First of all, we really enjoyed the location. We had originally thought about staying in Plaka but were so happy to find ourselves in Thiseio. This is a great neighbourhood, very close on foot to many points of interest, lovely coffee bars and restaurants and supermarkets, and best of all, so much quieter and more relaxed than being in the hub of Plaka. Mary is a wonderful host who truly goes above and beyond, including insisting on meeting us on arrival and then also saying goodbye on departure, even offering to help with taxis. Thank you to Mary for a fabulous stay! The shower was really great, as were the aircon and comfortable bed. Everything you need! We loved Athens (our first visit) and can’t wait to return very soon :)

The location was the best possible, for a quick visit to Athens! The house is cozy and tastefully decorated. Next to Acropolis hill, Plaka, Psirri and Monastiraki square, and not far from Syntagma, Koukaki, Exarchia and the modern center of Athens. All in walking distance! Great options nearby, for local food or drinks, byzantine churches, as well as live music and the old marketplace. We will be back! Nothing!! everything exceeded our expectations!!! We hope to find availability for our next stay in Athens

Only minutes to Psirri, Temple of Hephaestus, the Acropolis and all the cafes and bars of Thissio. So great to have Mary meet us at the flat and give us tips for our visit. She also provides breakfast supplies and tea and coffee which was great. Nothing.

Only children's voices at the school nearby, which I love. Mary is a wonderful host. Even though I arrived late, she welcomed me home with wonderful presentations. • James (9/5): A wonderful stay at Mary's - Location was very good for us. Close to metro, supermarket and Monastiraki Square (15 min walk to most things, 20 min to the Acropolis Museum). Well appointed studio apartment. Everything we needed was there. Clean, comfortable and convenient. Mary was waiting for us and let us know about a power disruption on the morning of our departure. She was welcoming and made sure we were looked after. She had a bottle of wine and some goodies for us as well. An exceptional value. A quiet location, even with the elementary school across the street. Close both balcony doors and the blind on the window and you can accidently sleep past 10:00 am. We really enjoyed our stay.

• Mateusz (10/5): Beautiful gem in Athens - Beatifully furnished flat in a quiet area of Athens. A dozen minutes on foot from Acropoli and Monastiraki square (a lot of restaurants and shops). Apart from standard equipment we were also provided with coffee, tea and some greek delicacies, which was a nice suprise. The host is very friendly and helpful. We travelled with our kid and there was a baby cod available. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend this place to everyone. nothing - it was excellent

• Gabor (10/5): Cosy little apartment which is close to tourist areas yet quiet - The flat is nicely decorated, following a late 19th-century theme. It is not big but large enough for two and it is very well equipped and clean (There were three different kinds of coffee in the kitchen with four different machines to make coffee, several different shampoos and other bath products in the bathroom). The bed and sofa were very comfortable. The location is great, although it is five minutes walk from the nearest metro station, and also 5 minutes from the very busy flea market, the flat is in a small and quiet street, so nothing disturbs your piece. Mary is an amazing host, she waited for us for almost two hours when we got stuck in Athens's traffic. We got complimentary wine and some snacks on our arrival which just saved our lives after a long trip. Nothing I could list.

• Matjaz (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is located near all the important sites, walking distance. The bed was good and it had all the things we needed...nice small kitchen, good shower, AC, TV, balcony and was in the lower floor of the building in a quiet street. Also the owner was very nice, she gave us a bottle of greek wine upon arrival, she said to drink it and we will sleep better after our whole day flight. And so we did:) and we slept well all the other nights too. The fridge was filled with a cupple of water bottles, yogurt, milk. We had cereal, different types of coffee and tee already in the kitchen upon our arrival. She even left us some cookies and chocholates. We had a wonderfull experience and will certanly return when we are next time in Athens.
• Colleen (10/5): Unique adorable flat in great location outside main tourist area - Mary was flexible about our arrival time when transport from the airport was slower than expected. She met us at the apartment with a welcoming, genuine warmth and explained all we needed to know. The apartment is small, but full of thoughtful details (it's kitschy in a lovely, charming way) and had everything we needed, including laundry, snacks, tea and coffee, etc. Mary was easy to contact for questions during our stay. The location was great. Easy walking distance to the historic sites, but outside of the hustle and bustle. A metro station is 4 min away. The neighbourhood felt like a quiet local quarter. There's an elementary school just across the street, so we woke to the sound of kids playing. Grocery, restaurants, and good local cafes nearby. My idea of perfect. Really, nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
• Avril (10/5): A gem of a place to stay, would certainly recommend. - The location was perfect for me and I had a fabulous time; easy to walk to the Acropolis and other sites or museums and minutes from the nearest metro or buses. A wonderful, friendly, welcoming host and as a woman on my own I felt I safe knowing I could contact with anything at all. Everything in the apartment was spotless and thoughtful, I was very comfortable. I loved hearing birdsong in the trees when having my breakfast on the balcony. A quiet area but shopping, nightlife etc near if wanted.
• Fanny (10/5): A small gem in a pretty neighborhood. - This flat is truly a small treasure find in Athens. I absolutely loved the decorations inside, it was cozy and romantic. I wanted to live there permanently. The location was great too, Thisio is very picturesque and it's close to both the tourist hub, the train station and the Acropolis. Mary was a fantastic host! I loved the little gift she had prepared on my arrival and was quick to respond to texts when i needed recommendations. I hope if i ever go back to athens again the flat will be available. Everything was great! Nothing to complain about honestly.
