• Anja (10/5): Rundum gelungener Aufenthalt 😊 - Ich hatte das große Glück, vier wunderbare Tage im Good Karma zu verbringen und kann es wirklich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Ich habe in einer Villa mit privatem Pool gewohnt – alles war äußerst sauber, stilvoll eingerichtet und das Bett war sehr bequem, sodass ich mich rundum wohlgefühlt habe. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das gesamte Team: Alle Mitarbeiter waren durchweg unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Man fühlt sich hier wirklich willkommen und bestens umsorgt. Der Strand ist ruhig, sauber und lädt perfekt zum Entspannen ein. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und bot einen gelungenen Start in den Tag. Die Massagen sind toll - Entspannung pur. Für mich ist dieses Hotel ganz klar eine 12/10 – ein Ort, an den ich jederzeit gerne zurückkehren würde. Absolute Empfehlung! Es gab nichts zu beanstanden.
• Georgina (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful and really well looked after by lovely staff - Stunningly beautiful accommodation right by a large unspoiled beach in a jungle setting. The surrounding gardens were peaceful, colourful and lush and there was a fabulous pool. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very classy and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. As a nice touch on our last night we were treated to a flame-lit dinner on the beach. We loved our stay at Good Karma and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a beautiful setting away from all the hustle and bustle.

• Rémi (10/5): Superbe expérience ! - L'hôtel est très joli, avec une nature luxuriante qui entoure les villas et chambres, et nous amène vers une plage splendide. De nombreux transats sont disponibles. Le restaurant est très bon et offre des choix variés. L'un des points majeurs de cette prestation est le personnel, adorable, disponible et cherche toujours à vous faire des petites attentions. La piscine privée de la villa n⁰2 est légèrement visible de la réception ou des gens qui y passent.

• Roland (10/5): Es waren traumhafte vier Tage. Unbedingt auch die angebotenen Massageanwendungen ausprobieren. - Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit eigenem Pool. Das war traumhaft schön. Sehr sauber, schön angelegt und Abends beleuchtet. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und uns wurde wann immer nötig geholfen. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Der letzte Abend, mit Fackeln am Strand, war wunderschön. Die angebotene Halbpension war, auch wenn das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt hat, für die landesüblichen Preise sehr teuer. Wenn man die Preise im Land nicht kennt, ist man schnell dabei die Halbpension zu buchen. Das ist aber eigentlich nicht nötig.
• Samuel (10/5): Beste Unterkunft auf unserer Reise - Der Aufenthalt im Good Karma war super schön. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen. Die Villa ist wunderschön und sauber. Der Pool war ebenfalls gereinigt und der Staff hat uns mit allen Anliegen immer sofort geholfen. Das Essen im Restaurant war ebenfalls sehr gut und der Privatstrand ist ein Traum. Jeden Morgen wird eine freiwillige Yogastunde angeboten (gratis) und die Unterkunft besitzt ein.eigenes Spa (20% Rabatt). Am.letzten Abend gab es für uns sogar ein Dinner am Strand und zum Abscjied haben wir lokale Schokolade bekommen. Der Hotelmanager war jederzeit erreichbar per Whatsapp und hat und alle Tuktuks und auch die Weiterreise organisiert. Wenn Ihr nach Sri Lanka kommt unbedingt vorbei schauen! Das Fitnessstudio ist nicht gut ausgestattet. Mit etwas Ideenreichtum kann man aber auch da ein tolles Workout machen.

The hotel is beautiful, the gardens are very well taken care of and the staff was super friendly. The rooms are big and beds are very comfy. The Airco works amazingly well (very needed) and the bathroom was all great. The food of the restaurant was also great with a dinner at the beach in candle lights. Nothing wrong!

• Anna (10/5): Wunderbares Strandhotel an Traumstrand zum Wohlfühlen - Ein wirklich tolles Strandhotel, in dem man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Das Hotel liegt an einem herrlichen Strandabschnitt, sehr idyllisch und ruhig. Hier kann man wirklich gut abschalten und sich erholen. Das Hotel Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zimmer sind sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und man konnte zwischen europäischem oder typisch Sri-Lanka Frühstück auswählen. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.

• Yasin (10/5): Peaceful Beachfront hotel - We’ve had a wonderful stay at Good Karma Hotel. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. They decorated the room for me on my birthday and organized a cake. The beach feels almost completely private. The private pool at our villa could have been a little better maintained for example with a functioning pump but the staff cleaned the pool whenever we asked for it.

Savršeno mjesto za opustiti se i napuniti baterije. Sobe su velike te sve je bilo uredno i čisto. Omogućili su nam da ostanemo u jednoj od soba malo duže jer smo imali noćni let, i za to veliko hvala.

• Thomas (10/5): Tropenparadies für Ruhesuchende - Kleine, sehr schöne Anlage mit sehr gutem Frühstück und einem tollen, kilometerlangen leeren Strand. Sehr schöne Zimmer, extrem gute Massagen (für uns die besten in 4 Wochen Sri Lanka), schöner Pool und einfach eine tolle Atmosphäre. Liebevoller Zimmerservice, wir hatten jeder Tag frische Blumen im Zimmer. Kurz zum Muezzin, der einige Male beanstandet wurde. In der Nähe ist ein buddhistischer Tempel, es handelt sich um ein buddhistisches Morgengebet das für uns sehr schön war. Das Essen im Hotel war sehr gut, besonders das Candlelightdinner am Strand ist ein Traum. Allerdings gibt es auch in der Umgebung einige excellente kleine Restaurants. Zu unserer Zeit war es am Rekawa Beach wegen hoher Wellen sehr schwer ins Wasser zu kommen, Akila der Manager kümmert sich allerdings super um Tuk Tuks oder Taxis, z. b. zum Silent Beach (ein Traum) oder Ausflüge in die Umgebung. • Ana (10/5): Un oasis de paz al final de nuestro viaje - El servicio fue súper atento, la villa estaba limpia y con todo tipo de comodidades. Después de dos semanas en Sri Lanka fue el broche perfecto a nuestras vacaciones. El nivel de lujo está por encima del precio que pagas. La ultima noche te sirven la cena en la playa, es un detalle muy especial. No haberme podido quedar más tiempo.

• Lara (9/5): Wir würden sofort wieder kommen - Schönes großes sauberes Zimmer mit Balkon mit Meerblick. Der Strand war ein Traum, außer den paar Hotelgästen menschenleer und wunderschön. Eigentlich wollte ich mir auch noch die umliegenden Strände anschauen, aber da unser so perfekt war habe ich das gelassen. Pool war auch super. Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und mal was anderes als in den anderen Unterkünften, geschmacklich oberer Durchschnitt. Wir haben zum Abschied ein Dessert im Restaurant und Schokolade geschenkt bekommen, super nett :) In den Suiten mit eigenem Pool, in der wir eine Nacht gebucht waren, hat man morgens extrem laut den Muezzin gehört. In den Zimmern auf der Strandseite war das zum Glück deutlich leiser. Abendessen war durchschnittlich und nicht sehr günstig, die Atmosphäre am Strand natürlich einmalig. In Laufentfernung gibt es aber diverse andere gute Restaurants, die man stattdessen aufsuchen kann.

Jedzenie podawane w restauracji przy plaży jest wyśmienite. Pokoje wyposażone są we wszystkie niezbędne sprzęty. Obiekt jest bardzo czysty. Na terenie hotelu jest przepiękny ogród. Zaś z pokoi położnych w budynkach przy samej plaży jest widok na ocean i słychać tylko szum fal. Polecam w 100%.

The rooms are immaculate, beautifully designed and very clean. They blend into the lush green jungle and you can hear plenty of wildlife and the sound of waves. The kids loved the pool. There are plenty of sun beds (near the pool and on the beach). The food was great. The best was the dinner directly on the beach. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Overall a fantastic experience.

Cisza, przestrzeń, brak tłumów – idealne miejsce na odpoczynek. Jednocześnie tuż za bramą dostępne są lokalne restauracje i bary. • Śniadania – bardzo smaczne, świeże i dobrze podane. • Romantyczne kolacje na plaży – pięknie zorganizowane, z klimatem, światłem świec i szumem oceanu w tle. Dla par to zdecydowanie mocny punkt. • Organizacja usług – hotel pomagał w organizacji różnych aktywności i transferów w cenach porównywalnych do tych „na mieście”, co było dużym plusem. Obiady i kolacje z karty – jedzenie nie było złe, natomiast w bezpośrednim porównaniu do lokalnych restauracji tuż za bramą wypadało słabiej jakościowo, przy bardzo podobnym poziomie cen. • Manager – bardzo zaangażowany, momentami jednak zbyt natarczywy. Jeśli decydowaliśmy się jeść poza obiektem, dopytywał o szczegóły, co bywało lekko osaczające. Z drugiej strony – był skuteczny w organizacji usług i pomocny logistycznie.

• Ilana (10/5): Nice hotel for people who want to be away from the crowds - If you like to be away from the crowds and to just chill out on a calm and fantastically empty beach, this is the hotel for you. We especially loved the beautiful property, our spacious room, and the morning yoga class. The hotel has its own restaurant and is walkable to a couple of other local spots along the beach or a dirt road, but if you want to go into the town of Tangalle it takes about 20-30 minutes with tuk-tuk. Not the hotel's fault at all, but guests should be aware that the waves are really rough here at Rekawa Beach so swimming is not advisable. However, the hotel has a lovely swimming pool.
• Paddy (10/5): Beautiful stay with a great atmosphere - We had a wonderful stay at this property, surrounded by nature and located on a beautiful, quiet beach. On both sides of the hotel there is nothing but jungle, which makes the setting feel very peaceful, private, and unique. The overall design and decoration of the hotel are stunning and create a warm, stylish, and relaxing atmosphere. The whole place feels thoughtfully designed and has a true boutique vibe. The staff truly made our stay special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their hospitality created such a comfortable and pleasant experience. The breakfast was delicious. Fresh, varied, and a great way to start the day. The food at the hotel overall was very good and of high quality. There are a few hotels and restaurants in the area, but not many, so there are limited options to eat elsewhere – but honestly, the food at the hotel itself is very good, so this was not a problem for us. We stayed in a private villa with our own pool, which added a lovely sense of privacy and luxury. The private pool could have been cleaner. It’s also good to know that the property is very remote, but they can be easily arrange a tuktuk for you.
• Paddy (10/5): A peaceful paradise - This place is absolutely beautiful and very secluded, located on a stunning beach that truly feels like a tropical bounty paradise. You are surrounded by nature, with almost nothing around, which makes it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the candlelight dinner on the beach: very romantic and a truly special experience. If you’re looking for a quiet escape in the middle of nature, this is the perfect place. There were a few minor maintenance issues here and there, such as an air conditioner that made quite a lot of noise and a couple of small things in the room. However, whenever we mentioned something, it was resolved immediately, which we really appreciated. Our laundry also didn’t go perfectly the first time, but this was handled right away and fixed without any hassle: great service. It’s also important to know that the hotel is quite remote. You can’t easily go into Tangalle; it’s more than a 15-minute drive. That said, the remote location is also part of the charm and exactly what makes this place so peaceful.

De ligging is heerlijk rustig en het privéstrand maakt het helemaal af. ’s Avonds dineren met je voeten in het zand, omringd door brandende fakkels in het donker — romantischer en sfeervoller wordt het niet. Pure rust en genieten. Het eten is buitengewoon lekker en met veel zorg bereid. Wat ons verblijf extra bijzonder maakte, was het ontzettend vriendelijke personeel. De poetsvrouw Tega, de tuinmannen, de portier, het restaurantpersoneel en de manager: iedereen was even hartelijk en behulpzaam. Ook de spa is absoluut een aanrader. Wij kozen voor de vierhandenmassage, een bijzondere en ontspannende ervaring die we niet snel zullen vergeten. Wij verbleven in een villa met privézwembad, wat zorgde voor extra comfort en privacy. Hoewel het verblijf wat afgelegen ligt, brengt een tuktuk je gemakkelijk overal naartoe. Een absolute aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar rust, romantiek en verwennerij. Niets

• Matias (1/5): It's a SCAM - The feeling of relief after leaving. The worst hotel experience we have had. Would otherwise give rating score 6 but we have no other option to than give a 1. This is unacceptable and we feel scammed. PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE RIDICULOUSLY HIGH RATING!!! THEY TRY TO FORCE YOU TO RATE IT A 10 AT CHECK OUT AND THAT'S WHY IT'S SO HIGH!! The location of the hotel is nice. Very quiet and remote. Good for a couple nights stay. Because of the remote location there really isn't anywhere you can buy snacks and drinks from and you have to buy from the hotel which is VERY overpriced and the food is mid. We found this nice restaurant called: Priya Moon Cafe nearby which was such a treat. You cant even get a free glass of water with the breakfast, absolutely ridiculous. Many things in the hotel are outdated or just badly designed. We booked this accommodation thinking it would live up to the 9.7 rating but no because most of the ratings are being put under the pressure of the manager. WE HAVE STAYED AT 7 RATED ACCOMMODATIONS WAY BETTER THAN THIS ONE. When we were leaving the manager told us to put rating 10 and when we said that we could maybe put a 9 he BRIBED us and told that it would be best if we didn't rate the place at all. We also felt really uncomfortable the whole stay. The staff was VERY unprofessional and REALLY pressuring. We got asked 4 times one evening if we wanted to eat dinner by the same people. Because they put it up on the beach. We felt really uncomfortable. And when we were already sleeping at 10 the staff came behind our door to give us the complimentary dessert that was included in the dinner. Even though we expressed multiple times that we were okay and didn't want dinner. Please avoid this place AND READ THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS!

• Paul (10/5): Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden die Unterkunft wieder buchen - Meine Freundin war leicht angeschlagen und sie haben ihr frische Kräuter aus dem Garten gepflückt für ein Dampfbad. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man hat echt gemerkt das sie ihren Job aus Leidenschaft machen. Das Hotel Gelände war super gepflegt und gut gelegen. Es gab kostenlose Joga Kurse, wie wir leider nicht wahrnehmen konnten :( Der Raum bzw. Zimmer im Obergeschoss war leider nicht richtig versiegelt. Vermutlich an der Decke bzw. am Dach und dadurch hatten wir Nachts einige Tiere (Spinnen und Kakerlaken) im Zimmer.

Lovely large room with amazing sea view and comfortable large bed Well kept gardens and pool with birds and wildlife. A few small local family restaurants within walking distance. Private beach was also lovely with comfortable, well spaced sunbeds. Breakfast and food in the restaurant was good. It’s possible to easily get a tuktuk if you walk a few metres along the lane. Would recommend if you enjoy a quiet, relaxing laid back atmosphere. It was perfect for us after an amazing, full on hectic 6 day tour! Lighting could be improved in the room but it didn’t detract from our experience at all

Auch die Zimmeraufteilung mit den mehreren Sitzgelegenheiten ist perfekt gewesen. Ich habe sowohl eine Massage, als auch die Yogastunde am Morgen in Anspruch genommen und fand beides sehr gut. Wer Ruhe sucht (bis in die City dauert es schon so 25 min mit dem Tuktuk) und einfach die Seele beim Meeresrauschen baumeln lassen möchte ist hier genau richtig. Nichts

We used spa two times and it was highly professional and affordable. Also had romantic dinner on the beach, that was a gift from hotel staff. Hotel manager organised the transfer for us to Colombo and it costs around 88 dollars. It was worth, because we reach our destination well.

If you are looking for a relaxing break this is the perfect place to stay. Akita and his team go out of their way to make your stay amazing- they can’t do enough to help and Akita organised an amazing safari for us. Tangalle itself is about a 10 minute trip in a tuk tuk which the hotel will arrange for you if you so want to go out. The rooms are a great size with a minimalist aesthetic which is just perfect. Would stay again in a heartbeat and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

Op de laatste avond wordt de mogelijkheid geboden om een candle light dinner te hebben op het strand. Is bijzonder! Deze accomodatie ligt wat verder weg van de bewoonde wereld. Om het dorpje te bereiken (indien je daar behoefte aan hebt) heb je een tuc tuc of taxi nodig - zoals wij - onze gehuurde scooter. Er zijn wel verschillende restaurantjes op loopafstand.
