Claudia (8/5): Ich ganzen haben wir uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. - Das Frühstück war wunderbar und sehr reichlich. Die Lage ist gut, man kann in den Ort laufen. Am Pool war es etwas uneben und es gab nur 4 Liegen die auch nicht mehr ganz sauber waren

Fanny (10/5): Super séjour, je recommande ! - L’établissement est super joli et très moderne ! Il est proche du centre-ville, le personnel est très accueillant, le petit déjeuner est plus que généreux. Nous étions trois adultes dans une chambre qui était un tout petit peu trop à l’étroit pour nous et dommage qu’il n’y ait que 4 transats à la piscine car nous ne pouvons pas tous en profiter en même temps pour se détendre.

Hele dag stond er verse koffie klaar. Super leuke workshop gehad - geheel gratis! Eigenlijk was alles perfect maar als ik iets moet noemen - Kort klein weggetje vanaf de hoofdweg naar het hotel had nogal grote kuilen.

Daarnaast een lekker ontbijt waarbij je elke dag een keuze kan maken en daarnaast zijn er onbeperkt broodjes, cake e.d. ook het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer is aan de kleine kant.

Rebecca (10/5): Would definitely go back!! - This is a stunning place, like a haven. Rooms were really clean, we had a suite and would recommend it for the extra outdoor private space. Pool is perfect. Breakfast is great with lots fruit, pastries and then you order à la carte. There’s hammocks around the place and the whole vibe is so nice. It’s about a 10min walk to town to food and restaurants. There’s shortcuts to the beach too so would recommend doing that and walking along the beach to town for really nice views We loved everything. Only thing to note is it says there is a restaurant but there’s none on site; this is just for the breakfast. They have minibars in each room but it would be so handy if they even sold drinks and toasted sandwiches all day so that you if you stay there for the day you have things. Still would definitely rebook as this wasn’t a big deal but just worth noting

Małgorzata (9/5): - Bardzo miły, pomocny i profesjonalny personel. Znakomite śniadania. Spotkaliśmy sporo zwierząt na terenie obiektu. Leniwca z młodym, Aguti, kolorowe żaby , motyle, wiewiórki. Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Blisko centrum i pięknej plaży , ale ale cicho i spokojnie.

Daniela (9/5): Wohlfühl-Oase! - Das Personal ist unglaublich hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir haben super Tipps für Unternehmungen und Restaurants bekommen. Es wirkt sehr familiär. Insbesondere mit Guillermo haben wir uns lange und sehr nett unterhalten und wir haben viel über das Land von ihm gelernt. Man fühlt sich hier sehr zuhause. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Es gibt eine tolle Auswahl. Es gibt den ganzen Tag frisches Trinkwasser, Äpfel und Kaffee. Die Hotel Anlage ist wunderschön! Man sieht so viele Tiere. Das Personal ist auch sehr bemüht einem immer alle Tiere zu zeigen und haben einem dafür manchmal auch über WhatsApp Bescheid gegeben. Wir waren sehr traurig als unsere Zeit dort vorbei war. Leider ist die Unterkunft ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Mit wenig Aufwand könnte hier viel getan werden - z.B. neue Polster für die Liegen am Pool. Auch die Garten- und Poolanlage könnte ein wenig besser gepflegt und gereinigt werden. In den Zimmern gab es bei uns ein paar Probleme mit der Technik (Rollläden, Klimaanlage). Wir hatten deshalb zu Beginn einen Zimmerwechsel. Das Personal war hier aber sehr bemüht! Die Zimmer könnten ein wenig sauberer sein (Fensterscheiben, Spiegel, TV etc.).

Jonathan (10/5): Ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt - Das Personal war extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zum Beispiel war während unserem Aufenthalt ein Faultier mit Baby auf dem Gelände. Immer wenn es zu sehen war, haben uns Mitarbeiter bei WhatsApp geschrieben oder persönlich Bescheid gegeben wo es zu sehen ist. Dasselbe auch bei einer Tukan Sichtung. Ganz grundsätzlich gibt es enorm viele Tiere auf dem Hotelgelände (Agutis, Leguane, Eidechsen, verschiedene Vögel, Frösche, Faultiere). Es gibt immer kostenlose Kaffee und Wasser und das Gelände lädt gerade abends zum verweilen außerhalb des Zimmers ein. An einem Tag gab es auch ein freiwilliges gemeinsames Kochen eines originalen karibischen Gerichts. Die Patacones haben mir nirgendwo mehr besser geschmeckt. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder machen und vermissen das Hotel jetzt schon. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist etwas gering. Bei der Badewanne auf der Terrasse (blickdicht) war er aber perfekt.

W tym hotelu spedzilismy 5 nocy i pomimo stałego menu śniadaniowego, każdorazowo mieliśmy problem z wyborem, czy chcemy ponownie zjesc cos co juz jedlismy, czy sprobowac kolejnej propozycji z menu. W kostaryce bylismy w 4 hotelach i ten oferował najwyzsza jakosc sniadan i wielkosc porcji, urozmaiconych szwedzkim stolem oraz spora porcja owocow. Jezeli chodzi o lokalizacje, to bliskosc jednych z piekniejszych plaz (np. Playa Cocles, czy tez Punta Uva, do ktorej trzeba podjechac, ale jest niesamowita). Nie zauwazylismy zadnych kwestii, ktore wymagaly poprawy w hotelu. Pelen profecjonalizm obslugi hotelu, swietna komunikacja, szczegolnie z Valentina, ktora rekomendowala zarowno miejsca warte odwiedzenia, najlepsze restauracje w Puerto Viejo ale tez w innych miejscach na Kostaryce, ktore byly na naszym planie podrozy - czulismy sie tak, jakbysmy mieli prywatna/dedykowana obsluge.
Thorsten (9/5): Ein wundervolles Hotel mit extrem freundlichen Personal - Tolles Ambiente, äußerst freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, positive Vibes, einfach nur nett und schön, tolles Frühstück, sehr gute Lage (ruhig und doch fussläufig nah am Geschehen) Wir hätten gerne ein Entgegenkommen erhalten da wir aufgrund annullierten Flugs statt zwei Nächten leider nur eine Nacht bleiben konnten. Wir haben natürlich Verständnis bei nicht stornierbarer Buchung, aber über ein bisschen Kulanz hätten wir uns gefreut. In sehr vielen Hotels und bei sehr vielen gebuchten Events und Ausflügen haben wir bei Nachweis der annullierten Flüge durchaus die Kulanz erhalten. Aber alles gut, das mindert nicht unsere positive Resonanz zum Hotel. Ansonsten gibt es rein gar nichts zu bemängeln.
nofar (2/5): Disappointing stay - Nice Breakfast and staff. the staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help and compensate wherever possible. From maintenance and housekeeping, to the front desk team, and even the hotel manager—every single person we encountered was outstanding and provided excellent service. Unfortunately, there is a clear gap between the level of service provided by the staff and the quality of the hotel itself. This was unfortunately the worst hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon. Although the hotel is marketed as a 5-star property, it felt closer to a 3-star experience. For the first two nights, we stayed in a Double Room with Terrace, which was very small and felt claustrophobic, with a strong musty smell. The maintenance level was not satisfactory, both in the room and in the surrounding outdoor areas. The toilet paper holder was broken, the water pressure was very weak, and the room did not provide a proper blanket, which made the stay less comfortable. On the third night, we upgraded to a Superior Suite, which was significantly better—more spacious, clean, and visually impressive. However, the sound insulation was extremely poor. We could hear every step and conversation from the floor above, as well as every drop of rain very loudly. It ended up being the worst night of our entire two-month trip.

The hotel is located inside the jungle so it's full of animals and it's meant to be very quiet. Despite this, during our stay there were a lot of families with kids.

The breakfast is à la carte and so tasty. Great location, you can walk to the restaurants and to the beach (10-15 mins). A lot parking available. There was a drain smell, especially in the evenings. There was some tape on the walls and balloons in the room which hadn’t been removed from a previous stay.
Paul (8/5): Nice jungle feel Hotel - It was very green and jungly, and the reception and building were nice. Staff welcomed us prioritized and the big dining area was great. The room was good for all 4 of us, and very clean! Breakfast was super serviced and nice choices. The pool area was a bit shabby and we were there on rainy days, so the dining roof leaked quite some and our rooms deck was too small to sit. Bathroom was a bit small and needs some repair. Rest was great.

Philipp (10/5): Perfekter Aufenthalt - Super Hotel, mega freundliches Personal. Shawen muss man dabei nochmal extra hervorheben, er hat uns immer Faultiere auf und neben der Anlage gezeigt, wodurch wir super Fotos machen konnten. Frühstück war gut, könnte eventuell noch etwas mehr sein. Man hört im Erdgeschoss die Gäste im oberen Stockwerk wenn sie durch das Zimmer laufen.

Anne (10/5): Perfect. - What a fantastic find this was. A real haven and oasis. We saw more wildlife here than in the National park. They have their own resident sloths, including a beautiful baby. Other residents include agoutis, green and black frogs, red eyed tree frogs and numerous beautiful birds. It has a wonderful vibe. Even though the hotel was full while we were there, it never felt that way and was always peaceful. The rooms are excellent and all have their own balconies. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. It is about a 10 minute walk into town where there are numerous restaurants, shops and coffee shops. The breakfast was great, freshly cooked and plentiful. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return.

Sie waren super aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und jederzeit sehr gut gelaunt. Das Hotel selbst hat einen schönen Stil mit kleinem Pool. Es stand den ganzen Tag Wasser, Kaffee oder Tee zur Verfügung. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight war der Geburtstag unseres Babys. Sie haben das Zimmer schön dekoriert und uns einen Minikuchen samt Ständchen gesungen 🥹 es war wirklich ein einzigartiges Erlebnis! Danke nochmal an das gesamte Team ♥️ Außerdem haben wir Affen und Faultiere gesehen. Der Pool war recht klein und es gab nur 4 Liegen.

Marc (5/5): Aufenthalt mit grossen Abstrichen... - Die Lage und das Frühstück waren super, die Mitarbeiter sind wirklich bemüht. Wir hatten jedoch das Pech in eine Suite (reserviert) zu kommen in der es im Bad furchtbar nach Abfluss (Dusche) roch. Aus das bemühen der Mitarbeiter mit Chemie etwas an dem Gestank zu ändern half nicht. So sind wir am Abend der 2. Nacht ausgezogen und wurden in ein anderes Zimmer im Erdgeschoss umgebucht mit der Info das ab den nächsten Tag Bauarbeiten stattfinden werden. So hatten wir zwar eine Gestank mehr jedoch vor dem Balkon ein schöne Schwarze Baustellenplane mit keinem Ausblick. Für uns weit weit weg von 5 Sternen. Auch für Costa Rica Verhältnisse. Etwas schade für das wir die letzen 6 Tage unseres Aufenthalt nach 4 Wochen Rundreise leider mit grossen abstrichen verbringen mussten. Der Preis für das Zimmer blieb übrigens der gleiche......

Dean (9/5): Heerlijk genieten bij Coga Botique hotel, Peurto Viejo. - Heerlijk hotel op een goede locatie. Voelt als thuiskomen. Mega vriendelijk personeel. De massage was super ontspannen en genieten. Een aanrader om jezelf te gunnen. Speciaal aandacht voor verjaardag tijdens verblijf, voelde me enorm in de watten gelegd met persoonlijke aandacht. Het eten was niet helemaal 5 sterren, wij vonden het een beetje tegenvallen. Het was niet slecht maar ook niet goed.

Astrid (7/5): - Der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt und es sind viele Tiere zu sehen. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und das Frühstück sehr lecker. Das Zimmer war extrem klein, dunkel und stickig. Es gab keinen Safe. Das Doppelbett war extrem klein. Ständig war der Abfluss der Dusche verstopft und man stand immer knöcheltief in seinem Duschwasser.

Das Frühstück ist gut und bei einem Ausflug vor der Frühstückszeit, wird eine Box mit einem leckeren Sandwich zum mitnehmen vorbereitet. Es kommt fast kein Tageslicht ins Zimmer resp. zur Terrasse. Die Zimmer sind ringhörig und der Kühlschrank im Zimmer war eher laut. Die Duschbrausen sollten entkalkt werden.

Close to the center of Pto Viejo but doesn't feel cramped and far away from the hustle and bustle. Water pressure in the shower was relatively poor.

Und während man den ersten Kaffee genießt, leisten einem schon Kolibris oder andere tierische Besucher Gesellschaft. Das Personal ist dabei ebenso herzlich wie aufmerksam.

Jessica (9/5): - Das Hotel ist wunderschön gestaltet und liegt am Rand von Puerto Viejo, sodass es abends ruhig ist. Die Zimmer sind stilvoll und geräumig und alles ist sehr sauber. Das Frühstück ist eine Kombination aus Buffet (Backwaren, Getränke) und Menu (Sandwiches, Omelette,…) und schmeckt gut. In direkter Hotelnähe oder sogar auf der Anlage kann man Tiere beobachten. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit und berät einen bzgl. Touren. -

Jose Ignacio (9/5): Volveríamos - Tienen excelente ubicación, las habitaciones tienen de todo y un televisor enorme. Apreciamos el servicio de limpieza y cambio de tollas. El desayuno es rico, dan buenas frutas y se tiene acceso a un mini buffet con cosas muy ricas. El servicio fue sumamente atento y siempre estuvieron dispuestos a ayudarnos en lo que quisieramos. Le mini refri y el aire acondicionado siempre son muy apreciados. Definitivamente volveríamos! Algo pequeño pero en nuestra habitación la luz natural era casi nula y el camino desde la playa al hotel (100 metros) está en un estado claramente mejorable.

Petra (6/5): - Sehr gutes Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Tolles Ambiente der Anlage, die komplett im Grünen liegt. Beeindruckende Fauna, besonders das Faultier. Strand in direkter Nähe. Ausstattung der Zimmer sehr einfach, dunkel. Der Pool ist so klein, dass man nicht darin schwimmen kann.

The rooms are comfortable, and I loved relaxing on my balcony. The breakfast included fresh fruit and delicious juice — I like ordering off the menu. I added a picture of Playa Negra at sunrise. I loved everything.

Der Pool war zeitweise nicht benutzbar.
