- Andy (7/5): Expensive, for a very basic hotel - Good location, with parking close by. Reasonable room, but with a really good bathroom/ shower. Room was small and the view very poor. No coffee making facilities in the room, or even in the lobby. This is our 7th hotel so far on our major tour of Canada / NW USA and it is by far the poorest value for money.

- Marie-Louise (4/5): Won’t be coming back - Great location. Mère Grand café next door is lovely for breakfast and it’s in the heart of the old port. The bathroom was decent. Looking at the building outside, I thought I was mistaken because it looks like an abandoned bunker. The staff was kind but unprofessional, talking loudly on the phone on speaker with friends… the bed felt like it was going to give at any moment. Very dusty. I couldn’t open the window and the view was horrible, even though I booked a deluxe room. I won’t be back.

- Jaylen (5/5): - location was great, easily accessible if you are tech savvy and staff were great! same as the other reviewers, wish there were some more amenities like coffee/tea or a table in the rooms but I understand the small rooms are for the "charm". the only real issues we had was the shower door didnt seal to the floor and the drain was slow so the water flooded from the shower to the bathroom (as the floors are quite slanted) and through the floor- no word about getting the deposit back just yet as check in/check out is contact less. Hopefully they do the right thing as that was a design flaw not user error!

- Yuka (6/5): 総合的にお値段以上 - お値段もお得で、部屋も綺麗でした。 場所もオールドモントリオール内にあったので、観光地へのアクセスもよかったです。 駅も歩いてすぐなので、助かりました。 ベッドマットレスの質も値段にしては良く、快適に眠れました。 部屋が傾いているので、傾斜が気になる人には向いてないかもしれません。私達は短期での宿泊だったのでそこまで気にしませんでした。また、エレベーターはなく、自力で階段を登らなければならないので、荷物が多い人には大変かもしれません。 水やコップ、コーヒー、ティーパック等の備え付けもないので、飲み物についてはペットボトル等の持参が必要です。

An easy walk to the main attractions. The room was very basic, it did not have simple amenities like tissues and a glass. We were there for 3 days and the towels were not changed. The was only one hand towel in the room for the entire stay, even though I asked for a new towel 2 times. The real issues was the charge I got for staining a towel - $76.00 to replace the one hand towel that I accidentally got makeup on. I contacted the hotel several times to get the charges reversed and had no luck. The ironic thing was that 2 other members of our group were also charged for replacement towels - $230. 00 to replace 3 hand towels. I call this a scam!!!! I have read through the other reviews and noticed that other guests have reported being charged for towels, blankets and plugged toilets!!! DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE AT BOOKING THIS HOTEL

- Ying Tung Samantha (1/5): HORRIBLE - Walkable distance to attractions I saw the last negative review was months ago and decided to give it a try. Turned out to be a mistake and here's an update from late May :D Cleanliness was a big issue. We found trash BETWEEN THE PILLOWS. What kind of cleaning standard (if they ever clean at all) leaves garbage in the bed? :D Worse, my boyfriend stepped on a trimmed nail that cut his toe. Very disgusting. On check out day, the toilet was clogged. We informed the front desk and was told not to worry about that. We naturally assumed that meant it would be handled, not that we would later be charged for it. The next day, we were told that the clog was caused by flushing paper towels. We never had paper towels in the room let along flushed them. We messaged the hotel multiple times and were ghosted until we contacted Booking.com The hotel insisted the clog "could only have been caused by us" simply because it was noticed during our stay. Logic 404 not found. They said they only charged us $100 was made out of good faith as if we should be grateful??? Feels like they are just waiting for any excuse to keep your deposit. TOTAL SCAM. As for the room conditions, they did not even apologize. They just asked if we had reported the issues during our stay, completely ignoring the fact that it did happen. No apology, no accountability, no basic customer service. Please don't tell me this place is in the hospitality industry :D And for the record, this is the first review I have ever posted about them. In our email communication, they were saying "we have received your vengeful 1-star review" Like hello? lol Maybe they mixed up with another guest because they have received too many bad reviews. Just don't book this hotel if you do not want to ruin your trip. Stay somewhere else and enjoy the city <3

The building location is great, close to the old port, public transport, and in the middle of the old Montréal. The room is small and suitable for the small short stay i had Since it is an old building, there is no elevator, which is not a major issue since the building has 3 levels only. The biggest dislike is that you can literally hear everything from the rooms around you!

- Mohammed (8/5): A nice and cozy place, with amazing staff - The proximity to the main attraction in the center, almost no need to take transport at all, just a good walk in the city (when it's not too cold) There is no facilities in the hotel, the loby is very small, no breakfast no coffee or tea, it'd be perfect if they could add these, but there is a cade just across the street, so it didn't bother me

Le dépôt de garantie n'a pas été remboursé la journé même pour une tâche sur une serviette et personne n'a eu la vivacité d'esprit de le faire savoir jusqu'à ce que je le découvre sur le relevé de mon compte bancaire. Même en appelant la personne n'a pas eu l'amabilité de traiter ma demande sur le champs et m'a demandé d'attendre.

Le bruit L’absence de machine à café dans la chambre. La facture qui ne correspondait pas au prix affiché sur booking (45$ de frais de ménage en plus).

- megan (3/5): Be prepared for some inconvenience and an invisible manager. - The location. The staff at the desk were very nice. This hotel is absolutely bare minimum. Not even a drinking glass was in the room. And when one was requested, they could not provide one. I observed other guests having to request toilet paper. Coffee before 10am on a weekend is a challenge. It requires walking a few blocks. During the week, there is a lovely coffee shop closer by that opens early. Lots of stairs, so if you book here, request a lower floor. My daughter was heavily pregnant, her room was on the top floor. They would not move her. We had an issue with the lock on my daughter's room. The first night, all night, it kept repeating 'door is locked, door is open''. The next night, the lock mechanism sounded an alarm that continuously repeated all night. She called the front desk at about 1 or 2am. The staff member tried a few things, said so sorry and returned to the desk. That was night two with no sleep for my pregnant daughter. The next day, someone came to repair it. We were told it was all good. The alarm definitely had stopped, but now the door didn't lock at all. We were told so sorry, we have no other rooms available. We will refund your entire stay. Good luck finding other accommodations. This is on a Saturday afternoon of thanksgiving weekend. There were no other accommodations! With a little more effort, they could have found a way to make that door lockable. We did receive some refund, but not for the entire stay as promised. I have left messages and been told the manager will be in touch. That never happened after repeated requests. Now they have ghosted me. Our weekend in Montreal was great other than this accommodation. The price is good, but be prepared for some inconvenience.

- Birgit (5/5): Wegen der Lage,des Preises und des hilfsbereiten Personals eine gute Möglichkeit für wenige Tage - Das Hotel liegt fuß nah zu Old Montreal und dem St. Lawrence River, auch Metro Stationen sind in der Nähe. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sie trugen meinen Koffer die Treppe hinauf, da es keinen Aufzug gibt. Leider gab es keinen Schrank oder einen Kleiderständer, auch keinen Stuhl, d.h. ich musste aus dem Koffer leben. Zudem kann man die Fenster nicht öffnen, die Luft wird nur über eine Klimaanlage reguliert.
- Patrick (8/5): Good for no frills short stay. - Great location, newly renovated and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and fantastic shower. Good tv and wireless. No elevator but staff carried our cases up steps to room on arrival and departure. No coffee available in hotel lobby, there was a coffee shop just over the road.
