Guest Reviews
- Roger (10/5): - Quite and I have time to myself
- Marama (4/5): Overpriced and Under delivered definately not a Bella Casa more a Casa Triste - The fridge The house was run down with odd locked up storage around the house. Also random furniture around. Cockroaches lived everywhere. Lawns were quite long & unkept. Ran out of hot water on day 2. No mosquito coils to use. Was extremely hot in the house, made worse with cooking. Had to bring washing in for the house still on the clothesline on day 3 (as we needed to hang washing) The bbq was terrible and would be more useful in the bin (rusted and broken with no gas bottle) No free wifi (said online there was wifi onsite) No water on arrival to drink so had to drive 20 mins away to get some (so inconvenient that late at night) My husband didn't like our arrival as the owner looked creepy walking around in the dark & wasn't very welcoming. I called the owner twice to discuss the issues & no hot water but did not answer my calls so we left and found somewhere else to stay. I will not be recommending staying at this accommodation. There was no information for places to see & experience on the island at all. In fact there was nothing "Island" about the whole place and the decor makes you feel like your NOT in Rarotonga at all which is sad. There is so much potential for the property, it just has not been executed effectively.

- Guest (8/5): Great location for town, shops, restaurants, snorkeling and golf. - The neighbours dogs Could have had bedside lamps both sides of the beds and an additional standing fan. The gas elements on the stove could do with a service.
- Mary (3/5): Was glad to move on - Whole house and garden Was very cold. Didn't get much sun inside at all.

- Jill (3/5): Dissapointing - I emailed direct, and we checked out early. We appreciated that you refunded some of our stay. Refer to my original email
- Stanley (10/5): Casa away from Casa - Very cosy and loved the decor & close proximity to Town the best beach & the airport. No wifi, but wasn’t a major issue.
- Daxa (3/5): Survival house - House photos are beautiful
House is lovely
Host Recee was helpfull person
But not maintenance or cleaned at all Not cleaned at all
Spider web everywhere in the house

Kitchen leaking
Bedsheets worked out

Only one slow old fan
- Jean (8/5): We had a lovely stay here, nice and homely - Lovely place close to town and social centre nice walks up hospital hill We weren’t sure how to work the gas oven probably do with instructions. Plug for sink, otherwise very comfortable, the gardens were lovely. Nice peaceful and cool.
- Miriama (10/5): Peace in Paradise with a Side of Delish Fruit - Bella Casa was perfect for our family trip—spotlessly clean, with everything we needed and a generous welcome of fresh fruit. We especially loved evenings on the big, covered verandah, where we played cards and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, with Reece as a polite and helpful host.
- Louis (5/5): adequate - had good facilities for self-catering hot water didn't work properly, cold showers for the first couple of days. massive cockroaches in rooms at night had to thoroughly spray the room before going to sleep
- Glen (10/5): Western beaches within walking distance - Great location, could sneak across golf club (watch for golfers swinging clubs) to access western beaches, even Black Rock within walking distance. Road walk to beach takes you past water station.
GPS sends you down street before correct one, follow directions properly as road actually has named sign.
Lots of room inside plus expansive veranda area and clothing rack for clothes drying if you can fight off mosquitos. Two outside taps, very handy to wash off feet and kids.
I personally enjoyed the ability to harvest coconuts and papayas from the garden to eat. Some fruit already thoughtfully provided on arrival, thanks!
It was a pleasure meeting Reece during our stay. Geckos are our friend, no ants after geckos turned up! No TV, not sure how I missed that in the amenities list. At $268 a night I didn't expect to purchase more toilet paper either. No insect screen on window above stove facing veranda, I think it was OK but I did wonder how a few mosquitos showed up inside. Hot water ran out last night, I blamed the kids but they didn't get any hot water either.
Cash only, payment time-frames different from what is stated on Booking.com, when it doesn't need to be given venue access is controlled by entry code.
I have a special hate for roosters and I would encourage a pogrom against the roosters in the area who believe 02:00 is dawn, progressively exterminating those crowing each hour until, say, 06:30. We're spending our second week in Muri and those roosters know when to crow at a decent time.
- Telessa (10/5): Fantastic host with an awesome house close to the beach and town, with local knowledge tips! - Excellent communication and amazing host. Very helpful with local knowledge shared.
- Jazmine (10/5): Beautiful - Very peaceful..such a beautiful spot to relax and end our days out in the sunshine and salt water 😍
- Daisy (7/5): Good - We liked the garden, fresh fruits, quick response from the host Jayne We wish there was better fans, maybe rice cooker & strainer would be good. Also some more toilet papers & perhaps paper towels. Would be also good to have plug on mosquito & lizard repellents.
Otherwise everything else was good.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - We loved the privacy and open outdoor living.
Comfy spacious bedrooms. Great kitchen with everything we needed.
Daily visits from the chooks and cat A little off the main coast road. It took a day or so to work out our way around (walking and bus) and eventually rented a car , which was not an expensive outlay.
- Victoria-jade (10/5): would definitely recommend to family and friends looking for a nice and relaxing place to stay. - absolutely loved the location. it was nice just off the main road and the house was beautiful!
- Khristal (9/5): Our Bella Casa Stay - Our family loved the outdoor space and how peaceful and secluded the home was.
Bella Casa Was central for us to visit family and friends. And it was a home away from home for us.
Communication was awesome and it was affordable. Besides the obvious we dealt with mosquitoes with the coils and the odd random rooster having choir practise now and then but nothing we couldnt handle hahaha
- Alma (9/5): Convenient, quiet, best swimming beach mins away. - Property is well situated in a quiet setting and close to one of the best swimming beaches. Short drive to the airport and main town, super-brown convenience store/gas/wifi top-ups is only a few mins walk away. There are plenty of fruit readily available. It was a lovely surprise seeing fruit picked and waiting for us on the veranda some days. Outdoor setting is comfortable for those long hot days. The property is well maintained and looked after. Many thanks to Jayne and her husband for a warm accomodating stay.
- Elizabeth (1/5): *Not everything is as it seems, but it should be clear as day. - The view was lovely, nice big fridge, good working fans in both rooms, nice outdoor dining area, washing machine available and easy to use. Had more cold showers than hot. Hot water was intermittent from day 1, plumber only called after we checked out early 7/10 days into our stay. False advertising - What was on this website definitely was not at the property...e.g.. no mosquito net, no tumble dryer, no 2nd TV, and so much more...even the pictures are different, def needs updating. This accommodation was handpicked because if what it had to offer my elderly parents and I or so I thought. Was told I was nit-picking by hosts when I informed them of the above...not nice. Thank you Amir.Y Booking.com for sorting things out for me :)
- Debbie (8/5): A home away from home. - Had everything needed as a home away from home. Loved the location & surroundings.
- Nuwan (8/5): Very good - The host was there to welcome me upon arrival at the house. It was a cute 2-bedroom house - with a spacious verandah that you could eat and work outside with a view of beautiful trees. Good location, close to the hospital - and also to Avarua town cente. It was not clear what kind of wi-fi connection was available. As usual, when wi-fi is available, you would assume that you would just need to connect to it. I now understand that it actually means it is a wi-fi hotspot, but you would still need to purchase a voucher to access it.
I paid in cash and asked that my change be given to me when I check out. The host never showed up prior to checking out - and I never got my change of money back.
Because I was solo travelling, I did feel at times a bit uneasy - dogs would be barking at night, there are no streetlights.
- Alison (8/5): Wonderful little house, would definitely stay again - Relaxed vibe in the house is lovely. Open sided decking/seating area is wonderful, Lovely comfy big beds, very clean, nice bathroom, tea/coffee/sugar/milk/fruit on arrival was lovely, peaceful location, good sized fridge. Cute cat visiting daily.. Garden area/washing line good, good washing machine. Good directions. Fan was great for when it was warm. Good beach and bath towels provided. Fabulous stay, didn't want to leave, thank you. Hob. Markings had worn off and not great to use. An extra fan would have been nice.
- Ian (10/5): Loved our time in Rarotonga - Lovely quiet setting and very comfortable accommodation and facilities. Our hosts checked in on us to make sure everything as OK - which it was.
We really appreciated the fresh fruit and milk in the fridge when we arrived. Took a bit to find the place as the street isn't named and the Google pin was in the wrong spot, but when we phoned the owners they quickly got us to the right spot :)
