Guest Reviews
- AGM (9/5): - precies wat ee hadden verwacht. Met aandacht verzorgd niets, precies zoals verwacht
- Jolanta (10/5): A beautiful, cosy hidden gem perfect for a relaxing family getaway. - We had an amazing stay here. The property was very clean, cosy and had everything we needed for our family. We loved all the little touches and felt at home straight away. The location was great and the place was very comfortable and relaxing. The kids really enjoyed staying here and we would definitely come back again. Honestly, nothing major to complain about. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Regine (10/5): Hidden Gem indeed - We really loved our stay, the place was clean, with loads of fun board games to play with. The garden outside was also quite spacious and tidy. The kitchen was very useful for us as we have a baby, we would love to come back in the future Nothing that I could think of, everything was perfect
- JohnRH70+ (6/5): Disappointed by parking, the slope with steps to the accommodation and an uncomfortable bed - The accommodation was spacious and well equipped, including an excellent amount of drawers. We arrived with cases for a week's stay but could not park nearby.
It is free parking in the road, but we were able to park close to the property only twice in the week and on one occasion had to park over 200 metres away.
The property is described as on one level, what is not mentioned is the sloping path from the road to the accommodation with 2 steps up and 7 down (and overhanging roses).
The bed was large but uncomfortable and gave no back support, as a result my wife slept on the settee.
The bathroom was small and rather cramped.

We slept very well and had everything we needed, plus super friendly and helpfull owners. The garden is a real suntrap, you can sit and enjoy the day with a glass of wine and a good book. The walk to the beach takes about 25 minutes. We would like to come back. There was nothing not to like.

- Daniel (10/5): Hidden Gem! - Hidden Gem says it all, it’s absolute perfect for a week away. It’s family friendly lovely space for the children to play and everything you would need and more. It is well looked after and decorated to a high standard lovely garden too you can tell the owners have put lots of love and care into it. Great communication with owners and great location near to the train station and not far to the beach. We spent a couple weeks of a year down in Eastbourne and we will definitely be using hidden gem again as it’s a home from a home! highly recommended, thank you.

- Kathryn (9/5): Superb - There were lots of little extras, like a toothbrush (my boys forgot to pack theirs), food clips, foil, sellotape which we used to fix our bike. As well as thing like tea and coffee. There was a great living/kitchen/dining space. And the beds were really comfy. Great communication and understanding when I couldn't find the key!! Sorry. It's street parking so not reserved and on this occasion there weren't any directly outside, but easily found space round the corner.
- Rakesh (7/5): Cosy and cute Home. - Sanitary pads and the cover to throw. Very thoughtful. kitchen items were less..

Clean with everything you needed for a lovely stay Nothing
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Everything possible had been supplied by the hosts to make our stay easy. Difficult to criticise any aspect of the property, maybe Graeme & Donna might think of up-dating the bedroom ceiling light fitting so that it matches the other stylish lights in the lounge and kitchen
- Shrestha (10/5): great - eveerything nothing
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Luckily I have booked three nights there. Very well equipped apartment and street parking is available.Good value of money. Highly recommended and will come back again. Stayed too short.
- Victor (10/5): Lovely place , much cheaper than the locl hotels. - Great location we parked right ouside for free all weekend and used the buses from the adjacent bus stop.. It is a lovely secluded little place with everything you need, spotlessly clean. Tea ,coffee biscuits and a bowl of fruit provided. The owners kept in touch by message. We would definately bok again.
- Eamonn (9/5): Excellent communications with owner, great location and very comfortable accommodation - Its location, well equipped, spacious, comfortable. Being 6 foot (1.82m) tall I was unable to stand under the shower
- Ravikanth (10/5): Exceptional - We liked everything, great location, and well maintained.
- Redpath (10/5): Absolutely beautiful stay for a sad occasion - Amazing very lovely Absolutely nothing
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dovile (10/5): Amazing , cosy, fantastic 🤩 - The stay was amazing. That sofa corner with well thought lighting is soooo cozy in the evening with a cup of tea and a book, TV or the board games.
There is a radio in the kitchen, which I thought was a very nice touch as well, lightens the morning :)
There even was a bottle for a water, which was so convenient, if you don't like tap water.
Honestly, I am not sure what the hosts could do better. I would definitely stay again when next time in Eastbourne. The bin/recycling was confusing. I didn't realise until the last day.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Vivien (10/5): Exceptional - We liked the space in the apartment. We also liked the clean decor and it had everything you needed in the kitchen. It is really comfortable and we were sad to leave. It is in a great position for the town, transport and countryside. We liked everything.
- Marc (9/5): Definitely lives up to its name, not to be overlooked! - Great location for exploring the coast / areas locally or further along the coast to Brighton etc. Spacious living, dining, sleeping and cooking areas. Well equipped in all areas with a lot of little touches that helped make for a very pleasant 6-night stay. The delicious fruit bowl selection was a welcome healthy alternative to the cakes / biscuits some places provide.
Very large and very comfortable bed with lovely big soft pillows. Very good wi-fi and a true home from home should you want to spend day(s)-in relaxing. Friendly welcome from the host who invited us to make use of their own garden too then we were left to our own devices with no privacy issues.
I was a bit worried about parking as there is no allocated parking space but there was almost always a space available virtually outside on the road. The one time in late evening there wasn't one directly outside, there were several spaces 30m along the road. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and can heartily recommend Hidden Gem for both short or far longer stays.
- Mark (10/5): Enjoyed every minute, very relaxing - I could not fault, this property, it was a fantastic find , clean cosy and had everything you needed Nothing
- Vivien (10/5): Excellent apartment. - The property was clean it had everything you needed for a lovely stay. The owners were very friendly and took pride in making our stay comfortable. The beds were generous and comfortable. We had a really lovely stay at this apartment and look forward to returning. There was nothing we did not like.
- Farai (10/5): A true hidden gem - Lovely and clean. Great location to the city centre and seafront. There was nothing I didn't like.
- Libby (10/5): Really exceptional find. - Location great.. and could not fault anything about the flat. Thoughtfully equipped with all that could be needed.. even lovely little Easter eggs! Will definitely book again when return to Eastbourne. Can’t think of anything.!
- Fellows (9/5): i would stay there again - tidy, coffee etc
- Fintan (10/5): Exactly what we needed after walking the South Downs Way - Charming apartment with all facilities and amenities we could ask for after walking the SDW. Apartment is located just off the main bus route between Eastbourne and Brighton. It was extremely well-equipped and we loved the board games and personal touches from the hosts. Perfect
