• Grace (7/5): Nice staff however some facilities need some attention - Staff were friendly Very noisy fan in bedroom but too hot to not have it on. Shower didn’t heat up. Pool and bar area photos must have been taken a few years ago as they’re not very representative of their current condition.

Der Zugang zum Hotel erfolgt durch ein in die Jahre gekommenes indisches Restaurant, vorbei an einem kleinen Pool mit nicht ganz sauberen Liegen. Bestimmt war das Hotel einmal schön, jetzt besteht aber dringender Renovierungsbedarf. Der Zugang zum Hotel, das Restaurant/der Frühstücksraum waren nicht einladend. Der Empfang war nicht „durchgängig“ besetzt, eher spärlich und die Bilder im Netz entsprechen nicht der Realität.

• Adrian (1/5): - The employees, not the owners… Our experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing. When we first arrived, everything seemed fine, but things quickly went downhill. Despite having a confirmed reservation, we were not given the room we booked. Instead, we were sent to a completely different hotel because they decided to prioritize another couple who were staying longer. This was unacceptable and highly unprofessional. About three weeks later, we returned and approached the owner because we wanted to spend the day there and use the pool, of course offering to pay for it. Once again, we were met with a fake smile and a hypocritical attitude, only to be bluntly refused. It’s no surprise they don’t have many visitors. It’s very clear that they are only friendly if you are putting a lot of money in front of them. Otherwise, you are treated poorly and dismissed. To be fair, the employees were kind and polite — this review is specifically about the owners. To make matters worse, the owner recommended a place for us to buy bus tickets, which turned out to be a complete scam. We were charged four times the normal price. Whether they are directly involved or just friends with these people, it reflects very badly on them. Overall, this place is defined by bad treatment, dishonesty, and a complete lack of respect for guests. I would not recommend it to anyone. Avoid staying here.

• Juan Jose (2/5): Would NOT stay there again. - The staff were polite on arrival and tried to assist where possible. Arriving late at night (around 23:00), the hotel was extremely difficult to find due to a complete lack of signage. After a long international flight, this made the check-in experience quite frustrating. There were no food options available at the hotel, and no nearby restaurants open, leaving us with only limited fast food choices via Uber Eats. During the night, the property experienced a water pump failure, resulting in no running water until the morning. Even once restored, the water pressure was very low and there was no hot water. The air conditioning also came with restrictions, as we were told not to set it below 20°C to avoid leakage, which is not ideal in a warm climate. Breakfast was very underwhelming. The only option offered was scrambled eggs and fruit that appeared to have been sitting out for quite some time. Additionally, due to ongoing patio renovations near the pool, no coffee was available. Communication with staff was also challenging due to a language barrier, making it difficult to address concerns or get clarification. To add to the experience, we were charged extra for the breakfast, which did not reflect the quality or availability of what was provided.

They organised day trips for us and gave advice for the rest of our trip. The breakfast was lovely and their Indian restaurant was sensational! Beautiful food. The pool was a welcome retreat from the heat!

Staff was extremely friendly. The restaurant's food was very tasty. It is just a short walk to some shops, restaurants and the beach (which is not especially worth a visit). Room was spacious and clean.

• Maïlys (8/5): Bonne localisation - La gérante est très sympa et a été très arrangeante avec nous. L’hôtel est propre et la piscine est un vrai plus ! Le restaurant est délicieux. Si vous cherchez un bon butter chicken, ne réfléchissez plus : foncez ! La literie était niquel, nous sommes restés 2 nuits et avons très bien dormi. Gel douche et shampooing sont fournis. L’hôtel est à 5min à pied de la rue des restaurants. Vous y trouverez l’adresse d’un rooftop au bord de plage, parfait pour un cocktail au coucher du soleil. Les restaurants aux alentours sont tous très bons. Nous avons malheureusement eu un problème avec l’eau chaude. Nous nous sommes douchés à l’eau froide. Cependant, les gérants étaient vraiment désolés et nous ont proposé de nous doucher ailleurs.

Tuvimos que alargar un par de noches porque estábamos atrapados en Sri Lanka sin poder volar y no pusieron ningún problema, hicieron todo lo posible por alargar nuestra estancia y hacernos sentir como en casa, dad la situación se agradece!

• Alfred (5/5): Not worth the money - Quiet location, not far from beach, good food Rooms uncomfortable. We stayed in two. Both had issues. Try to avoid the building opposite the hotel called ‘new’ seaview. Nothing new there. Extremely surprised that we had to pay an (quite high) additional charge for credit card payment. The owners should have acted in a different way regarding the room issues we faced. To us it seems that earning money is top priority.

The pool on site was small but clean and the owners also offered us the use of the larger pool in their other hotel opposite. We had a curry for lunch one day and it was excellent. Really tasty.

• Louise (9/5): A great mid-range option in Negombo run by a lovely couple. Amazing Indian restaurant on-site! - What a lovely stay we had. here! Down a quiet lane away from the main road. A small swimming pool is great for cooling off. Nice comfy beds and plenty of space. The owners were super helpful and kind, they helped us arrange massages and transport. Plus helped us with a little drama when we lost a bag at the train station which was very much appreciated. The hotel is a short walk to the beach. And the BEST thing was the Indian restaurant on-site... seriously great food! We ate there both nights because it was so good. Have the butter chicken! The bathrooms were a little basic.

Our room was really nice, spotlessly clean, hot shower, comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the pool. There is a small pool on site and a larger one a few steps away available to use. We ate dinner here twice and the food was outstanding. We really enjoyed our stay. Many thanks to all the staff. Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die herzliche und freundliche Leitung des Hotels. Sie hat uns außerdem enorm bei unseren Reiseplänen und beim Mieten eines Autos geholfen – dafür nochmals ein großes Dankeschön! Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

• Martin (4/5): Skøn oase med dejlig indisk restaurant som trænger til store forbedringer - Panorama Negombo er en mindre oase gemt væk fra hovedvejen, men alligevel i gåafstand til stranden, butikker og restauranter. Meget varmt velkomst ved ankomst, hvor vi blev budt på en dejlig velkomst drink. Desuden blev vi Informeret om, at morgenmaden skulle indtages et andet sted i byen. Da vi konstaterede at vi havde fået et mindre værelse end bestilt, blev dette straks rettet. Det kan absolut anbefales at prøve deres indiske restaurant, “Indian Garden”. et var desværre rigtig mange ting som ikke levede op til vores forventninger - ud fra pris og rating. Renlighed og funktionaliteten på værelset var uacceptabel. Envidere var den traditionelle morgenmad på hotellet og den indiske morgenmad de arrangerede ude i byen af ringeste kvalitet og med synligt beskidt service. Vi havde en konstruktiv dialog med ejeren Manoj, som håndterede klagepunkterne anerkendende og professionelt.

• Joanne (9/5): A little paradise not far from the beach - Great location and really welcoming hosts! The dinner and breakfast were amazing and the hosts were attentive to us throughout. Rooms were clean and we loved all the plants around the property! We were excited about the swimming pool but sadly due to rain we didn’t get to use it! But it looked clean and welcoming! There is very little to dislike about the property. The only slight issue at times was water temperature in the shower - it seemed to be warmer in the evenings but we couldn’t seem to get it warm in the mornings.

• Paola (1/5): Il peggiore - Siamo arrivati di notte avvertendoli del nostro orario di arrivo qualche giorno prima e non abbiamo trovato nessuno ad accoglierci, per cui hanno lasciato due ragazze sulla strada senza alloggio. E con Booking hanno dapprima arrecato scuse dicendo che fossimo state noi a non presentarci in struttura poi hanno cambiato versione dicendo che non avevano stanze disponibili. Insomma azione gravissima per cui non lo consiglio.

• Lena (10/5): - Super Nette Hosts, gute Lage. Einige Restaurants im Umfeld, zum Strand circa 10 min zu Fuß. Das eigene Indische Restaurant im Haus war super lecker und ist sein Geld absolut wert. Preis Leistung passt super. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.
