• Nombreuse (8/5): Exceptionnelle - L'accueil, la chambre climatisé, et la vue sur le pont cavendish. Juste le parking mon copain a eu un peu de difficulté pour se garer mais c'était pas aussi désagréable.
• Tamás (10/5): Great guesthouse - Amazing view from the family room to the river. Kind and caring, if slightly overbearing, host family. This is a typical guesthouse with a communal breakfast, you can also meet other travelers and socialize with the host couple. Overall very positive experience. Room is quite dated.

• Rosalind (10/5): Awesome, I will definitely go back - I enjoyed my stay at Le Bsmboo Guest House. The hosts were kind, always ready to help. I liked everything The water pressure was low. I let the hosts know about it and they fixed the issue.
• Kevin (10/5): I enjoyed my stay at Le Bamboo - The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good location, near the mahebourg waterfront, shops, restaurants.

• Hadidjat (8/5): - La dame était souriante et très chaleureuse. Elle nous a mis a l'aise et a même accepté notre heure de sortie. Les lit étaient confortable. Levier de la salle de bain était au fond.

Et encore faut vraiment avoir aucune autre solution - Les propriétaires sont très gentils Heureusement qu'il y avait de la climatisation dans la chambre Les lits sont catastrophiques matelas en mousse très mous. Très inconfortable, impossible d'y dormir à deux. On se retrouve dans une cuvette Il n'y a aucune insonorisation. Heureusement que nous n'y avons passé qu'une seule nuit en transit Pas d'eau chaude. Je n'ai pas le souvenir que c'était précisé dans l'annonce, un seul robinet d'eau froide à la douche

• Nathalie (7/5): Très bon séjour et un excellent accueil par nos hôtes. - Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil par nos hôtes, que nous remercions chaleureusement pour leur hospitalité, leur disponibilité et leur gentillesse. Le petit déjeuner est très bien. L'emplacement est vraiment parfait et la chambre est suffisamment spacieuse et propre, les placards très appréciables. La douche en revanche est un peu moins agréable : très peu d'eau chaude et un soir où l'eau froide était totalement bouillante. Un peu dommage d'avoir une belle vue et de pouvoir en profiter si peu en raison du manque d'intimité (rideaux souvent fermés pour préserver un peu d'intimité) et d'équipement adapté pour s'installer sur le balcon.

• Mélanie (9/5): Une adresse que je recommande vivement. L’accueil est chaleureux et le séjour très plaisant. - Séjour agréable, idéalement situé près de l’aéroport. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent, comme à la maison, préparé avec soin par Mala. Les hôtes sont très serviables. Je n’y ai passé qu’une nuit, mais j’aurais aimé rester plus longtemps. Mala s’est vraiment démenée pour s’assurer que tout se passe bien pour moi. Merci pour tout. Tout est à proximité : le marché, le front de mer à couper le souffle, et la vue sur la rivière est superbe. Mahebourg est un endroit très pratique, on se déplace facilement sans difficulté.

• Liren (1/5): The worst hotel I've ever stayed in the hundreds of hotels in over 30 countries. - Nothing. The room was filthy - They didn't change the bedding. There was no hot water in the shower. There was no shampoo or soap. The faucet was broken and the male owner was blaming me for breaking it. He was an old man with very bad temper and stingy too. He asked me to increase the temperature of the AC to save electricity! The parking situation was even worse - there is very little space for parking the vehicle on the street. There might have been arguments with the neighbors in the past so the owner was very strict with how close you need to get to the curb. It was definitely the worst hotel I've ever stayed anywhere in the world - I've travelled to more than 30 countries and stayed at hundreds of hotels.
• Andrea (8/5): Like coming to visit your grandparents, you feel very welcome, loved it. - We skipped breakfast, but had no trouble getting extra coffee after the breakfast time. Bit of a lack of privacy/thin walls, but not a problem for a short stay.

The hosts Mala and Vishnu made my stay memorable. They were always there when I needed information. I had a pleasant stay. I liked everything

It’s a family-run business, and Mala and Vishnu truly made us feel like we were at home. My children especially enjoyed spending time with her. The room was cleaned every other day during our stay, which was great. The breakfast was simple but satisfying and kept us energized for the day.

Breakfast was made right in front of me which was cute, super basic, but filling. I am grateful. Nice surrounding views, like the vast waters, and local streets.. Cockroach in the shower upon arrival, and another crawling around my luggage. The room was small enough, didn't enjoy sharing with bugs.. No soap in the bathroom, no toilet paper either.

• Kim (8/5): Loved our stay and wouldn’t have changed anything - My wife and I loved staying at La Bamboo Guesthouse - just our taste in Lonely Planet old- school backpackers accommodation. The house was quite a maze and we had one of the rooms with terrace overlooking the river. Had everything we could possibly need and Mala and her husband Vishnu couldn’t have been more helpful with simple breakfast to set us up for the day. The beautiful Blue Bay is only 15 minutes away on local bus - well worth the rs30 bus fare just for the trip. Short walk to several supermarkets and bus terminal short walking distance. Nothing to dislike as met all our expectations

• Mike (8/5): Very kind married couple - The property is located very close to the bus station and the Waterfront walkway,It is also in an easy walk to two good¬sized supermarkets where you could buy drink and provisions for storage in the owners' easily accessable fridge.The tap water is drinkable at the property It is a cozy GH and very sociable,The owners are friendly and helpful and one or other was always available.The decor is a little tired but is full of character, The floor was immaculately cleaned and mopped throughout the day,There is a beautiful panorama towards the Cavendish Bridge from the upstairs balcony.My room was functional and the bed was comfy,Breakfast was included though lacked variation (bread,jam,omelette,tea/coffee) however it was greatly welcomed. I actually visited the property twice,The first 3 days were scheduled but the second occassion was the consequence of Cyclone Belal. I was due to fly home,but was tol;d to leave the airport.I turned up unannounced at the property to be told it was full.However,the kind lady made a family room available for me and was told to 'think of me as your older sister !' I will be forever thankful for her kindness and for her understanding of the situation, Unfortunately the requested bicycles were no longer available. The credit card machine wasn't working, Hot water has restricted hours,which might inconvenience some.

View from terrace was nice to the river and I got good information how I can travel by bus in island Lock of my room went broken and I had to pay it. I had to pay for storing my luggage few hours before my flight left. I couldn't charge my phone in my room and there was often electricity powercut

We were in transit so we didn't have soap neither towels and they didn't provide us this facilities. We agreed to check out a little bit later than 11am because I travel alone with toddler but at the last moment they pressure me to leave.

Very comfortable.The location was very convenient, close to ATM's, supermarkets, the waterfront and bus terminus.Good restaurants nearby. Blue Bay was only ten minutes away by bus. A beautiful beach. The museum was well worth a visit. Short drive from the airport.

• Agata (2/5): bad - standard breakfast was ok - bread, egg, butter, jam, coffee, tea, banana, AC was working only if you have to! old, damaged, dirty, stinky and sticky, very dark. I can't emaginine staying more then one necessary night, no option to store luggage, shared bathroom without window, low water pressure, very laud at night (first dogs, then party in the bar across the river then chickens in the morning), kitchen only with owners even on each floor there is kitchen room but totally empty
