Guest Reviews
- Marisa (9/5): Nice and cozy, perfect for a day or two stay! - Cute and cozy and not too far from activities! It was a bit warmer in the suite than I’d prefer, but they provided a fan as well!
- Lawrence (9/5): - It was conveniently located close to our destination. It was very clean, the kitchen and bathroom were very clean and well appointed.
- Moore (9/5): -
- Karen (7/5): - We received clear and easy instructions to check-in, which was very convenient. There was available street parking, which was helpful. The towels smelled clean. Utensils in kitchen were very useful. It was impossible to sleep, as you cab hear E EVERYTHING above you. The shower didnt look clean. The sheets in the bed setup in the living room had hairs on it. I understand it is a basement and is a tiny space, but it could be good to cover the prominent corners of the "ceiling" with foam or something, my tall friend hit his head so many times in the peak near the stairs.
- Melissa (5/5): Great little place if you don't mind kid noises. - It was very clean and in a good location. I didn't like the fact that there were noisy kids running around right above us. If we had known ahead of time it would have chosen another place.
- Ferreira (10/5): -
- Serena (10/5): Simple and feels like home! - Host was communicative, friendly and reasonable! This is a nice basement furnished apartment style area. Even reasoned with me for a late checkout. I appreciate the hospitality! Will be staying again when I come back to Chicago. Oh and that smart television? Nice! Also the bedroom was my favorite! N/A
- Person (1/5): Never again. - It smelled nice It was cold. We had to check in a hour late and check out a hour early. Very uncomfortable
- Alexander (4/5): This stay was extremely noisy through what is called “quiet hours.” - Clean facilities, kitchenette, good living space Bought earplugs for the second night. Best sleep was between midnight and 4 AM, when the family above got up and started making lots of noise over our heads (basement rental). Second night, the vacuum began roaring on our ceiling (their floor) at around 10:30 PM, and a woman started yelling at her child, who, I suppose was on his way to school at about 7 AM.

- Anders (7/5): - It was very clean, and the water pressure was phenomenal. The mini kitchen was handy. It was located in a decent spot between where we all wanted to go, so getting around the city wasn't too difficult. From what I gathered from the two nights I was there, there was a family staying above us who had children. The adults upstairs were up until around 2, making it hard for us to sleep. The floor was more comfortable than sitting on the furniture.

- BG1983 (10/5): Perfectly located, very nice basement apartment. - This basement apartment was absolutely perfect for our week in Chicago. We were visiting to see the Cubs play, and it was easy to ride the bus and train to the field. The bed was super comfy, and the kitchen was well appointed for our needs. I absolutely adored the bathroom tile. There was a standing fan for the bedroom, which was a great addition to sleeping. The value was incredible and I'd book this every time I was in Chicago if available. The only thing I can really think is that the kitchen needs a cutting board, and some hooks in the bathroom for towels would be nice. But honestly, it was pretty perfect.
- Jessie (7/5): Good locagltion BUT for short people. - Location, 20 minutes walk to the brown line going to the Looo, llp, safety. Height of the ceiling..and the people that live above, you hear them walk until they go to sleep.
- Fredrick (7/5): Good -
- Lindholm (9/5): Superb -
- Jerome (9/5): Superb - spacious though the ceiling a little bit low. if you are 6ft or taller then you have to be careful with your head. I didn't have any issue at all.
- Anita (8/5): Not luxurious but good enough - Not luxury, but clean and comfortable basement apartment. Very low ceilings, anybody over 6ft will have to duck.
We could hear noisy children on the floor above.
- Onkel (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, lovely neighbourhood.
Clean and fully equipped.
Lovely!
- Evgenya (8/5): Very good - The area is quiet, public transport is nearby, which was very convenient for us, but not noisy, the house is not on the road, the car was left near the house. There is a park nearby. There is a good cafe with breakfasts nearby. When I booked, I did not pay attention to the fact that the apartment itself for living is below the first floor, but there are small windows. It is 5 steps down. Separate entrance. The accommodation is normal. As I understand it, in the house with the owners on the upper floors. Check-in was quick and good, communication by phone. Clean, warm.
- Aldo (10/5): Exceptional - Clean place, also quiet Location
- John (7/5): Enjoyed our stay. - Close to bus stop. Clean. This is a basement below a family home and there is very little natural light.
- Pauline (8/5): Very good -
- Woods (5/5): This place is in a great location and ok if you're staying for a night or two - This place is in a great area and a short walk from Lincoln Square (which is a fun neighborhood). The rooms looked like the photos, and we weren't expecting anything special since we were just staying one night on our travels. The place is fine, and the bed was comfortable. It's a basement apartment, and the noise above us kept us awake late into the night. I'm not sure if there was just excitement that night because of the 4th of July weekend or if that happens more regularly. Also, as a heads up, the ceilings are pretty low. I'm 5'-9" and I was ok, but anyone much taller than me might feel claustrophobic.
- Danielle (4/5): This is Luxury?? - Very convenient to Swedish hospital Basement apartment space, noise level- you can hear small children running around and you can hear walking above you. it was hot 🔥, no temp control. I just really wanted luxury and this isn't luxury, just a basic small rental space
- Lucero (9/5): Superb - Bathroom is adequate for a male guest. Female guests would likely prefer an updated bathroom with good water pressure.
- Suzanne (8/5): Very good -
- Tianhao (10/5): Excellent value for the location - Exactly as described very good value. Host was prompt to reply. Apartment was clean, well lit with both natural light and artificial light.
Best part is it's a 20 minute pleasant stroll through the park to the brown line station so easy and cheap to get to the loop. Only mild thing: the bright white circular lights in bedroom is very very bright. I would personally recommend a less bright light bulb. However I was fine just not turning it on and using the two other lamps near the bed, which were normal brightness lights.
- Gregory (7/5): Good -
- Natalia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vontese (7/5): Good - Very impressed with location. We weren’t too far away from everything. Traffic was heavy due to several festivities going on this weekend. Cleanliness the bathroom could be a little more clean as far as the tub and maybe a better toilet seat. The space was amazing. Little noisy due to host/family kids living above the basement. Overall the host responded swiftly to any request for items that may have been needed.
- Andrea (10/5): I really liked that everything was very clean and equipped with bathroom and kitchen items. the room very comfortable. W - It was very comfortable, clean, the neighborhood is perfect and safe In the morning we heard a little noise on the second floor, but everything was very good
- Conrad (10/5): I very much enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again! - Hosts were easy to get ahold of. It was very clean and accessible. They have shower supplies to use which is great. Kitchen supplies available with microwave and fridge. This was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay here again! The ceilings are low. I am 6’4 and hit my head multiple times. This was the only negative and really not a big deal.
- Mackintosh (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice, the owner was very pleasant and polite. Very comfortable, great amenities. It truly felt like a home away from home. While this rental was absolutely wonderful. I would not suggest it if you are on the taller side. I'm 6'4" and I hit my head alot. When standing straight up my head touched the ceiling of the kitchen and bathroom, and I hit my head multiple times on doorways and the such.
That being said, if your on the shorter side this place would be perfect for a little getaway not to far from downtown Chicago. But if you are close to 6 feet or taller keep in mind your going to have to be bent over alot 😜 but over all amazing place just wish the ceilings were a just a bit higher and it would be perfect.
- Plub (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and very quiet. Nothing. Good experience
- Egor (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was clean
