Guest Reviews
- Hill (1/5): -
- Tina (7/5): - The price was perfect. Location was great. I could hear my loudmouth neighbors fantastic. Felt like i was part of their conversations. One of them sounded like marriage material. The other one sounds like a 300-pound red flag.
- SOMESH (9/5): -
- sharmarka (2/5): probably best to avoid this place - Nothing explain my expectations from what I paid for the units next to me was very loud and nosy. The Wi-Fi didn’t work. The bed made sounds as you were moving cracks were on the wall. The door knob was broke for the washroom. The sink when arrived had hair in it.
- Warren (2/5): It was very bad. - there is no breakfast The room was stinky with smoking. Rood was dirty and dusty on the floor and some bugs and spiders were crawling around. no shampoo, awful towels, The bathroom was filled with the flies and the black mold around the bath tube. everything was awful. I had to take the trash can that was filled with empty soda cup and one of them was filled with cigarette butts. After I took that out, the smell of the room better.
- Korn (4/5): Disappointing - Decent pricing The room was a little rough, beds were not the most comfortable, the repair on the bathroom was done but not finished
- William (1/5): Bad -
- Glenn (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ian (8/5): Very good - It's not actually called suites wythville it's a motel 6
- Mary (5/5): This is a Motel 6. Pets are free and room was fairly clean. - The location was convenient, and pets were free. love that. would not stay here if no pets. but would if traveling with pets. This is a "Motel 6", No coffee pot, asked 4 times the evening of our stay. never got it. tried again in morning but office was locked. left at 9am, still locked. Very dated, which I usually don't mind if price is low, however, didn't use shower as it was falling apart. No water for 1st 3 hours as pipes burst couldn't flush toilets, but was 20 degrees out and don't hold that against them.
- Sandra (2/5): Very poor - The housekeeper was nice. The faculty was not represented truthfully on the website. It was extremely in needed of repairs and updating. As your walked into the room the door lock had to be pushed in and lifted up to lock. The ceiling above the window had peeling paint with many spots down to the original surface. The furniture was outdated with the sink base having fun is of wood chipped off. The vinyl flooring in front of the sink was lifted up and when stepped on water came up through it. The bathroom toilet was slow in flushing and again flooring was lifted. Walls and tiling visibly needed some attention.
- Terry (4/5): No Winner Here - Just an overnight on the way south. Convenient to our favorite Wytheville restaurant. Bed was ok, bathroom was in need of a remodel. The room needed a good deep clean. Won't be staying there again.
- Melisa (10/5): Good place to last your head for a night - I stayed 1 night on my way through town
- JASON (10/5): The truth - stay was nice and quiet and relaxing. Had a wonderful time.
- F (5/5): Decent For A One-Night Stay On A Trip. - It's decent for a 1-night's stay. Just don't expect highest standards. No bugs. Good hot water for a shower. The bathroom door & trim trim were dirty w/grease marks. The A/C worked, but the cover was falling off. The tub was very slippery -- needs some traction adhesives. Lots of people looked like there were living there. Possibly local workers. No drug issues that I could see. No damage to car over night. FYI, it's a former Knights Inn and Treadway Inn. Now a Motel 6. The word "Suites" in the name is misleading. Very slippery tub that makes showering dangerous.
- Abbye (6/5): Pleasant - the beds were pretty comfortable, the employee who checked us in was nice there were lots of random pieces of furniture outside, when I was ready to check out there was nobody in the lobby. There was an intercom button that was there to push to get someone but it did not work. I was unable to slide the key card underneath the door or in the side of the door. So I just went back to the room and left the key in there.
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Robert (6/5): Clean place to sleep but with concerns for safety - A nice clean room to sleep for the night A room on the first floor that didn’t feel line it was in the middle of the ghetto.
- Mitchell (2/5): - I did not stay. The room was on the second floor and smelled like smoke. I stay in Wytheville all the time. I wanted to check out the hotel. For me i will not return to this hotel.
- Jean (1/5): Bad -
- G (1/5): Bad - N/a Tons of people living on site broken down cars n repairs being done in facility front counter was quick but this is a live in motel unfortunately 😞 I didn't feel good about parking my vehicle there over night my room smelled like a Marley concert
- Rose (1/5): Don't stay here if you like cleanliness. - There was no breakfast... the location was fine.
The room was very dirty and poorly maintained. Clearly a lot of people have been smoking in the room even though it was supposed to be a nonsmoking room. Pretty much everything. The pictures on the website looked like a very decent room but they were very deceiving.
- Martin (5/5): The price of the motel room reflects the quality. It is a place to sleep. - I liked the proximity to downtown and the community center. The room I was in had a pungent smell. We had two rooms and we were unable to get them side by side or on the same side at all. One was downstairs and one was upstairs on the other side. The cable television did not work.
- Shawn (7/5): Good -
- Cara (8/5): Overall a good stay, cheap rooms for quick overnight stays when traveling, somewhat dated rooms that need a little extra - Friendly staff, easy check in process, good location, cheap prices, comfortable clean beds. Obvious dirty “ handprints” on bathroom door. It didn’t open/close easy and seemed like it hasn’t been wiped down for awhile giving the rest of the room a not so clean feel even though it was.
No staff on duty from 10pm-9am
- Black (1/5): Bad - I honestly did not feel safe and didn’t even get out of my car. I cancelled my reservation and have been trying to get refunded and cannot get a response. I used booking.com and they are not responding either. Spent half an hour on the phone to cancel but when following up I get no where.
- Schoepflin (5/5): Passable -
- George (9/5): Superb - Good value, clean room, friendly staff
What more could you ask for?
- Ashraf (10/5): Great stay - Great location
Very fast check in and out
Clean, quite, good price
Owner is very welcoming and helping
Thank you
Very recommended
- Becky (10/5): - Khan was always so helpful and really friendly. Great customer service!!
- David (10/5): - Nicely run property, friendly staff and owner. Clean and comfy.
- Krysten (1/5): Absolutely terrible stay and will not stay again - Nothing The beds were very uncomfortable. The door didn’t lock properly. The other lock was broken. And the room smelled awful
- Toni (3/5): It served its purpose (a night off the road), but certainly not somewhere I’d stay for leisure. Staff was kind, respecta - Staff members were excellent. Great attitudes and helpful. Beds were super hard, bedding was super stained. Want sure if it was cleaned or stained. Heater was blowing out cold air rather than heat.
- Bill (7/5): Good rest. - No breakfast. No shampoo - available at front desk, but inconvenient. No tissues.
- Maryann (8/5): Staff was good and beds were comfortable. - The fridge worked well as we had food we wanted to keep.
The room was clean. There was no hair dryer or Kleenex which usually is a given.
Towels could stand to be updated.
- Lisa (4/5): You get what you pay for - Check on was a nightmare. I waited in the lobby for over 45 minutes waiting for someone to come to check me in.
- Teresa (3/5): Don't stay here - Reservation clerk was very helpful and friendly. Old old motel 6 listed as "Suites". Very misleading. Room was smelly. Bathroom tile was falling off. Bathroom door didn't close. Scary men were having a fight outside our door in the night. Altogether would never come back.
- Brent (10/5): - Hotels on the older side but don’t let that take away from it being nice. The room was still very clean and comfortable. Front desk lady was really nice
- Littleton (7/5): Okay stay for a night - The room was a good size, and the beds were comfortable. It was a decent place for an overnight stay. The bathroom floors and walls were not the cleanest. It was an older place and needed a little deep cleaning.
- Ken (3/5): Poor - The bathtub wasn’t flat and was slippery. I made a slight movement and my nose hit the side. Blood everywhere!
- Joe (7/5): Pleasant - Great location near restaurants stores and historical downtown Bathroom needs work pair of found a pair of men's shots in Bathroom on a high shelf above toilet
- Frank (9/5): Pleasant place in a good location will stay again - Good location, clean comfortable Nothing
- Kate (2/5): - I waited in the lobby. No human ever showed up. I called the service number and no one ever picked up so we went to la Quinta inn instead.
- Meirion (9/5): Superb -
- Somesh (6/5): Pleasant - unclean corridors, tired furniture.
- Weber (6/5): You get what you're willing to pay for as a traveler. It has a clean room and hot shower. - The facility is easy to find, just a short trip off I-81. It looked like the facility was is undergoing some repairs (the shower faucet stuck an extra inch out of the wall exposing its pipes, etc.).
There was no breakfast.
- Tom (5/5): Not what we expected - Price. The price was reasonable. The location was convenient. The place was in poor repair. The faucet in bath tub was broken. One of the electrical outlets was unsafe with multiple items plugged to it. The pillows were awful.
- Lionel (6/5): - Bathroom is tiny and our one room wasn’t ready till 6ish pm
- Gail (7/5): Good - It was clean, close to restaurants Dim light in bathroom, uncomfortable bed
- Nancy (7/5): Comfortable and convenient - Clean and affordable Plumbing old walls aged etc..and multiple hairs in the tub and sink
- Daniel (3/5): Best I can say is that I was able to cancel and got my money back. - The receptionist was agreeable and willing to cancel the reservation. First room had a bad odor (supposed to be non-smoking) and second room smelled a bit better, but the room heater/AC was dead.
- Michelle (10/5): Recommend for anyone! - Staff was cheerful and happy (even at the lateness that we arrived). Room was exceptionally clean. Would definitely stay again during my travels.
- Melissa (10/5): Affordable and clean - Nice friendly clean location. Beds were comfortable
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Very pet friendly (no extra charge), pro-active service, great comfortable bedding, nice set of appliances, didn't shower but the tap had great pressure and temperature n/a
- Tricia (7/5): Good -
- Gibson (10/5): Exceptional - Everyone at this facility were great I will be back.
- Sidney (9/5): Highly recommend this facility. - The manager was exceptionly friendly and helpful. Some earlier experiences with Motel 6 were less than satisfactory. This experience changed all that. We were disappointed in that there was no breakfast included. But.... we went to the local Waffle House and our disappointment disappeared. This establishment might consider developing a business relationship with the local Waffle House....maybe a small discount.
- Carol (9/5): Recent Stay - Fast check in, friendly and courteous staff. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Large enough to use a walker in the room without difficulty. The bed was comfortable and had ample amount of pillows. Ample parking . Reasonable rates and will definitely stay there again. N/a
- Dennis (10/5): Glad we found this. - it was a very clean room the parking was well lit,the manager was very friendly ,everything about our stay was enjoyable. nothing all was good
- Elaine (10/5): Very pleasant surprise! - We loved our stay! Nothing everything was fabulous!
- Eileen (8/5): - The hotel manager was super friendly. The hotel is older and showing decay. The beds however were super comfortable. I was charged twice, once from the hotel and once from Expedia which I had to start a claim on.
- Harold (8/5): Very good -
- Thompson (9/5): Superb -
- Shelley (2/5): Awful! - This hotel was awful. I didn’t want to stay but it was so late we had to. It was dirty. Was supposed to be a non smoking room but it smelled of smoke. There was blood on the walls. Ant traps everywhere. Dirty towels and sheets. This is a pay by the week hotel in a bad part of town. Do not book this hotel!
- Jose (2/5): - Bad service tube stopped, tv not working, no towel dirty place just the worse
- Hammad (2/5): No 1 dirtiest hotel of USA - Probably the most dirty & Filthy hotel we ever went to.. people stay away from this filthiest hotel.. it's nasty and dirty as hell and unsafe.
- eric (2/5): - general bad vibe the whole place felt broken nothing worked and it was the worst motel experience to Date for myself and my Wife
- Teal (2/5): - The mouse poop in the night stand drawer. The holes in the wall for the toilet paper holder no towel rack holes in the shower and bathroom area. The roaches.... The very odd sounds from either the building or other guests.
- GAWHARA (2/5): - They didnt answer the phone or the door to check in. I had to find another place for my family to stay.
- Ahmed (2/5): - It was no cover no toilet paper no towels
The microwave don’t work the room stink
No workers at the office it was sucks
- Donna (2/5): - It was a terrible experience. I pull in and there are 3 sheriffs cars around the office. I was advised not to stay. Then OYO has yet to refund my money! Expect a flurry of media showing OYO as disreputable and shame o. You for representing them.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Stay at own risk - It would have been fine if not for the renovations to the whole place leaving me eating for them to put a room back together regardless of my reservation. I’m addition the room itself was exceptionally gross debris in the heater allowed me not to turn it on a cigarette burns in the sheets showed they don’t care.
- Jamie (2/5): Do NOT stay here! DRIVE BY! - This place was one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever stayed at. Very unclean. The property is not clean. The room they’re showing the picture is not what I had gotten at all. I literally slept in my clothes and got up and left I did not even wanna try to take a shower in that nasty bathroom with the dirty looking towels. And what really sealed it was when I got up to leave and there was a cockroach by my bag. And then to hear from someone who stays there who had a nicer room but still not quality, how bad they had bedbugs at this location in the past. WAS NOT WORTH 72.00! 20,00 was dog fee. I was even worried about my dogs getting something on them. Just so disappointing and disgusting… and they didn’t even have enough key cards he was hoping the one I got since it was so scratched up with work which thank God I did. However I barely slept at all worrying about being in this location.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again!! - Horrible experience. I paid and went to the room it was disgusting. Very dirty, crumbs between the sheets on the bed. Toilet wasn't even flushed? Then Dev at the counter was very rude and would not refund me? I need reimbursed for this. I did not stay there. I stayed at the Red Roof Inn down the road.
- Larry (4/5): Oyo bad choice - The credit card machine was not working, and the lobby was empty so I had to wait about 20 minutes for the attendant to come in from the outside behind the building to find out I had to hunt another motel
- Anna (4/5): Disappointed - Grateful for a place to stay after long, tough drive with out dog. Staff on site helpful. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel safe walking around property at night and early am woke to roach walking across sink. It appeared some people were living there and, and some may have been evicted, given the large pile of belongings behind building.
- Ana (2/5): - Just dirty super.
- Jonathan (2/5): - The stay here was a disaster, not only was it infested with bugs but the locals turned it into a apartment complex/hangout spot. To top it all off after my stay they charged my credit card twice claiming I did not show up. Never again
- Pedro (2/5): - The Place was nasty old tower A lot of debris on the carpet overall was nasty the microwave was nasty dirty everything was derty never ever Stay in tha place
- Garrett (2/5): Discussing - This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived check in was good. Entered the room and it was totally discussing. Room was not cleaned. Garbage over running the can, bathtub was full of hair and dirt. Sink filthy. TV didn't work. Went straight to the office, owner came in and had his cleaning girl clean the room. Carpet was not vacuumed. We decided to stay after the room was cleaned. We were tired from a long drive and this was our stopping point before we continued to our destination or we would have left and went somewhere else. We didn't shower even after it was cleaned cause we just couldn't bring ourselves to shower in the filthy tubwe saw prior to the cleaning. Oh and no toilet paper and a very dirty toilet even after it was cleaned. I used seat covers when I used it. Hotel needs condemned. Never again would I even consider that place. I would rather sleep in a dog pen .
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property is in deplorable condion. Died bugs in the room and the towels and linens were stained and dirty. I would not recomend this place to a homeless person.
- Faustino (2/5): - Cockroaches everywhere.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - First off, the pictures of the hotel on Expedia are very deceiving. I can tell you Expedia does not go to these hotels and make sure these are good hotels. Walked in the room and there were roaches crawling around on the bed. Roaches on the air conditioning unit as well. The pillows and sheets were stained. When I walked towards the bathroom, there was a huge blood stain on the carpet. On the bathroom counter, there were bugs under the towels. The towels had green and brown stains all over them. Needless to say, we immediately left and had to find a different hotel. Ended up spending another $200 at a best western because nothing else was available. I will never again use Expedia when booking a hotel.
- Tania (2/5): - I wouldn’t recommend this place. There were bugs, specifically roaches in the room. Sheets were dirty and there were holes in the blankets due to cigarettes.
- Robert (2/5): The worst place I have ever stayed - The toilet didn't flush, the one chair in the room had a leather finish that was flaking, some of the towels were discolored to the point they should have been thrown away. The walls are super thin. The housekeeping crew was there the day before checkout to inform me I had stayed past checkout I sisting I had to leave because the guy behind the desk which I am guessing is the manager can't work a calendar. Do not stay here. The showers are built for midgets. There was a flash deal that lured me here, the rooms were discounted to 45 a night down from 60, charging either value is a ripoff for what you get. Pay the little extra.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place was full of meth heads and druggies. Outside was filthy, manager/owner looked to be on drugs. My first room smelled like mold and mildew the floor was filthy as well as the bathroom. The ac unit waa broke i asked them to fix it while i waa at work cone back in the morning still broke. I wait 2 hours before they tell me they cant fix it. They gave me another room with worming ac. Still smelled like mold and mildew. I checked the floor and roaches were all over the carpet dead and stuck to it. This place is a ROACH and should be condemned.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Just don’t - We ended up needing to stop halfway on our trip to the beach. I figured for one night how bad could a hotel be? Well I wish I would have spent the extra money and stayed somewhere better. It was gross. The room next door at the ceiling falling in. Our room looked like it hadn’t been clean in weeks if not longer. The curtain was taped to the wall. The light in the bathroom was disgusting and missing a lightbulb. When we checked in the front desk man was asleep. There was underwear left on top of the dryer. Just spend a bit money and stay somewhere else.
- lorrie (2/5): The MOST DISGUSTING HOTEL - This place was absolutely disgusting, I had to get the manager just to open our room door . There was cockroaches all over, the t v didn’t work. I wouldn’t even stay. It’s nothing like what the pictures on your site shows. What a waste of money or respect for people. I would have asked for money back, but there was a sign no refunds. There was no coffee or coffee cups in the room. It doesn’t even look like they clean the room. Pure Disgusting. This has got to be the lowest of lows for a hotel. I can’t understand how Hotels.com would even offer a hotel like that.
- Erin (4/5): Avoid room 110 in the future! - The sheets and towels were stained. The toilet ran the entire night, even after jiggling the handle. The trim by the bathroom was rotted, and the tub had dead bugs in it. The owner was efficient and kind, but this is not a motel one would want to stay at! I hope they can pull it together in the future.
- Penny (2/5): - This place was gross.. bathroom looked ljke it going to fall apart. Holes in the walls,no shower curtain if there was i wouldn't use the tub. Big ole dirt ring around tub. Toilet over flowed.. just disgusting
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was nobody at the front desk ,so I didn’t get to check in and I already paid online .Waste of money and time .
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The building itself was ok. It was once you enter your room. Our room had red spots on the carpet towards the bathroom. Some of the outcovers were not attached properly and the bathroom tiles were cracked and had openings enough to see into the wall. The light/heat lamp well it looked like an electrical nightmare waiting to happen. I took a picture of it. I sent it to my husband and said we're not sure we should shower here. The bathroom ceiling was much lower then the main room. I'm 5'3" and I could touch it. My son who is close to 6ft had to duck in the shower because the shower head was so low on the wall. The towels were clean but dirty....they were supposed to be white but were very dingy. Some should be replaced. Sheets on one bed had set in stains as well. My daughter's slept on top of there bed never pulling the comforter or sheets down. Then then were the unexpected guest "roaches" and I pray we did not bring any home. There was a mini fridge, tv with cable, and a microwave. Overall a quiet room, one night my son and i heard a couple arguing and the next night i heard a baby crying for over an hour....we never saw any babies but did see 3 kids from about 9to7...and the rooms on either side of us were empty and i never heard any noises from the upstair rooms. Because of the covid many of the rooms were being rented out for people to live in. The cleaning staff never came to our room thankfully i had brought an extra roll of toilet paper from home and towels to bathe
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Convenient to the highway
- Mike (2/5): Hotel hell - This was the worst hotel experience of my life. Trash is laying everywhere outside. It’s a motel where people live full time. Crackheads were walking and talking outside until late night. The room was nasty. Sticky, dirty carpet. The ac was moldy. There were items like brushes and hair stuff laying around. There was no trash can. The deadbolt on door didn’t work. There was no hot water, and no shower head, so I couldn’t shower. The WiFi did not work. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I didn’t get to stay cause the staff would not answer the door for the front desk
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Desk clerk is a good guy. Room was clean enough, only one critter. Bathroom needs to be remodeled, and the towels were either dirty or worn out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff was great specially the older gentleman that was working the mornings/ afternoons, no house keeping was done while was gone & we kept having issues with bugs on the dresser, table & cabinets. The refrigerator was gross looks like it was never cleaned.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Blood stains in room, saw some roaches
- Bethany (2/5): Disgusting!!! - This was the worst motel I've ever seen! I've avoided Oyo's up till this night due to low ratings in larger US cities but I thought I'd give them a chance in this small town. Big mistake!!! The moment we opened the door to our room, a hot, humid air hits our faces. The windows were completely fogged up. The air unit was in pieces on the floor. I approached the bathroom & roaches scattered everywhere. I looked at the tub dripping scalding hot water & more roaches were scattering. I'm talking hundreds at this point. We immediately ran from the room & went straight back to the office for a full refund. Thankfully it was given without argument. This place should be condemned!!!
- Melissa (2/5): HORRIBLE - There was roaches not one but twelve the room sink leaked all over the floor. Food stuck to the floor! We walked out and left and they would not refund.
