Wouter Sparreboom (6/5): - The stayed one night in the 2-bedroom house. The grounds surrounding the cabins is great: nice big pool, good views and many cute animals. Hellen and Patty were super friendly, making early check in possible. The breakfast was also very well taken care of and delicous. We also did a rafting tour with Epic adventures and that was a great success. The house itself was a dissapointment. Everything in it was really old (and sometimes even broken). The kitchen had seen better days and was not well equiped. It also was not well cleaned and extremely dusty. The bathroom was a little better and very clean, that has to be said. The beds were alright, but the whole place felt so tired. When looking into the other cabins, we noticed that they are in much better (and newer) shape. Maybe ours is on the list to be renovated.

Nous avons apprécié la disponibilité et la flexibilité du personnel pour avancer l'heure du petit déjeuner à 6h30 pour correspondre à notre programme. Excellent petit déjeuner! Bien situé par rapport à La Virgen et ses réserves. Nous avons aussi profité du terrain de football.

Sebastian (10/5): Sleep immersed in nature. - The Epic Adventure Lodge is a Pearl and an excellent stop between San Jose and La Fortuna. You’re immersed in nature, can do a nice walk towards a close by river and relax in the pool or rancho. The breakfast is prepared freshly and you see a lot of visitors for breakfast incl birds and some cute rodents. We really enjoyed our stay and can only recommend it.
Willem (8/5): Very good - Right off the road with secure parking. Room was spacious and nice views over the valley. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is no AC so it got quite hot but luckily the fans really help. You do need a car in this area as it’s a bit remote.

Glenn (10/5): Great Place to get away from it all. - We had a 12 day trip, and unfortunately we only stayed here 1 night, but wow!! We had our best night sleep, the sound of the birds, animals and the rain was really special. Helen was a wonderful person who was so much fun to talk with, and she made us a great breakfast. The staff was very friendly, the view and the country side was gorgeous! A little less rain :)

Peaceful swings and porches It was hot and hard to leave doors open with bugs- no screens on windows. Light switches above had lots of cobwebs. When choosing rental- it was not disclosed the mountain room is right off the community dining room. Tiles and light broken in pool.

The room itself was missing a few critical things (a) effective fans (since there is no A/C; (b) hooks to hang towels etc; (c) screens for windows (as there is no A/C and we need to keep windows open, but there ore obviously bugs in Costa Rica Just a few cheap investments would have made a huge difference.
Christie (10/5): Great place to stay near San Miguel - Breakfast at the Epic Adventure lodge was our favorite while in Costa Rica. Fresh fruit, mango juice, scrambled eggs and gallo pinto. The lodge is on a mountain with some great breezes. We were upgraded to the 2 bedroom cabin nearest the pool that was very comfortable. The pool was really nice in sunny spot at the top. You can see so many stars at night here. We walked the grounds the nest day all the way down to the river. The staff was really friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. They directed us to a great restaurant nearby, Los Galitas, that was very friendly and welcoming.
