Guest Reviews
- Kasia (10/5): - Extraordinary host, made me feel very welcomed Nothing
- Debi (5/5): -
- Amber (10/5): A Home away from Home in Iver! - Well appointed - room, bathroom and shared kitchen area. Great parking. Lovely semi-rural location so close to London. Very kind owners.
- Abdul (10/5): Excellant Hosts and a very nice hotel. -
- Birna (10/5): - Our hosts were really friendly and accommodating. The facilities were good. Placed in a quiet area with beautiful countryside around.
- zari (4/5): - Location . Car parking. Kitchen Not like photos ,
- Diane (1/5): Disastrous, - Pinewood lodge does not exist it is a private residence. If the owner does let out rooms at any point it is never at a weekend
I called the owner who met me on her drive and I followed to Langley house I can’t say as I never stayed there but I have plenty to say about Langley house
- Trina (6/5): Affordable option near airport. - Big comfortable bed. Power points next to the bed. Paper thin walls. Can hear everyone. There was a noisy bunch of people staying and it was horrible. Kids yelling from very early in the morning. Dirty kettle.
- Mark (4/5): Disappointing -
- Caroline (10/5): Very nice - There was no breakfast , but the owner change our room to the studio which was very thoughtful. The heating coming on by itself in the morning.
- Lorraine (10/5): Very pleasant and welcoming guest house, will definitely return. - Very clean, hosts very welcoming, made us feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. Nothing
- Sarina (2/5): Don’t do it unless you’re desperate and don’t mind dirty places - The location was convenient for what I needed at the time, and the host was trying to go the extra mile to welcome me. From the moment I made the booking I was inundated with texts and calls from the guesthouse trying to ask me what time I was arriving to which I couldn’t respond to because I was at work, so they kept calling again and sending more messages, both via WhatsApp and the booking.com message system.
It wasn’t a guesthouse like I imagined, it was a small house which was converted into lots of rooms to rent out.
The kitchen, if you could call it that was disgusting. I was expecting some half decent tea making facilities but there was a kettle, a couple of dirty and chipped mugs, and a cupboard which contained what was obviously someone’s personal box of teabags and some cooking supplies. The kitchen was dark and gloomy with an automatic light on a sensor which went off after 5 seconds of standing still so it was impossible to make a cup of tea anyway, and not possible to take photos as it was too dark.
The bedroom was the size of a cupboard, and the furniture inside was damaged and dusty. The floor was absolutely disgusting and covered in a layer of black dirt and dust. Coffee (I assume) and brown stains peppered the walls where spillages had obviously not been cleared up.
I didn’t want to go to bed as I felt so uncomfortable but it was just too late in the evening to search for an alternative place to stay. Such a good job I only booked one night. The listing stated tea making facilities and hairdryer which were not accurate or accessible. Totally false advertisement from start to finish and not worth the price.
