Siamo andate a dormire felici.

- Teun (10/5): - A must do life experience!

- Vinsova (10/5): Calm stay amongst the golden dunes - It was an amazing experience, the highlight of my travels in Morocco. I decided to stay 4 nights, and it was excellent. The camp is in the middle of golden sand dunes. It is perfect for walking, quiet meditations, or other desert adventures. At night, it is possible to sleep outside and see the stars. Gambi is an amazing host. He looked after me from the time I arrived by bus until the departure. He is a very trustworthy and friendly person. quick to sort any possible difficulty and prepares amazing traditional food. I opted for an easy stay in the camp, but Gambi also offers various adventures involving local nomads and camel riding. I would recommend this place to all people who like adventure, tradition and pristine nature. Nothing
- Hasnain (10/5): If you are searching for real desert experience, this is the place. - It was the best experience of my whole trip. Staying under stars in middle of big dunes of Sahara. If you really want a real desert experience, don’t miss this place Weather wasn’t good, it was windy. So we missed bonfires in night.
- Henrique (10/5): Exceptional - It was exceptional experience and a highlight of our one week long road trip. We ended up staying there alone with Gambi and Mustafa and it seemed the most cosy experience to compare with the massive luxury camps madness around. The camp was separated from the touristic camping sites and located in the middle of the dunes. We asked for a camel ride and dinner which was 60eur per person but definitely worth it. The dinner was very tasty, Gambi shared many stories about nomads life and traditions, we woke up with the sunrise at the dunes. After the stay in the desert we could have breakfast and take a shower at the hotel nearby so it was also great after the night in the dunes. Highly recommend!
- Dmitry (10/5): Once in a lifetime experience. - This camp is true camp inside the Erg. It takes about an hour to get from the village of Hassilabied to the camp by camels. The camp is small for 2-3 families. Tents are basic (how it suppose to be in the real camp), but everything was very comfortable and clean - real beds, pillows, blankets, etc.
Midday we parked our car at the Riad Marhaba, hop on camels and couple hours before sunset we were at the camp ready to climb the bid dune to watch it. After sunset we had dinner, it was good, traditional moroccan food.
Then we sit, listen and played drums by the fire, gaze at the stars and even had short guided walk around the camp (it was full moon - not complete darkness).
Next day, another family woke up early to see sunrise, but it is not compulsory, you can sleep through, nobody wakes you up. Camels arrived at about eight or maybe nine, we rode back and had a breakfast at the same Riad.
Gambi was very communicative - told stories, answered all our questions about his culture and played with our kids.
If you have a chance to go and stay here - do it, you and your children will keep great memories for the whole life.
- Sara (8/5): Great owner. Comfortable tent and eating area Shame the weather wasn’t good but we enjoyed our time there especially t - We were only able to stay one night at the camp because of the rain, but Gambi kept us informed of all that was happening and made our experience as best he could We got to the camp on camel which was fun after a lunch in the desert under some trees. It was just myself and my partner and Gambi at camp. It was comfortable and although facilities are basic, everything you need. He cooked some lovely food for our one dinner, lunch and breakfast and arranged a 4x4 trip for us - four hours exploring the area. The facilities are basic with a chemical toilet and a sink that isn’t plumbed in at all - the pipe just hangs so just use wet wipes or water from bottle. But it was fine for our time there.
- Fhj65788n8ol (10/5): Desert experience - Small camp in the middle of the dessert. We were only ones. Attached to lodging are dinner (20 euro per person) and camels transfer (40 euro per person). Breakfast back in riad is included. Gambi did his best to host us. Food was good. There was a small music performance. Overall, it is one of the several camps in the desert - experience is worth it
- Kamil (10/5): Exceptional - The Gambi camp is one of a kind. Very natural, you get everything you need. Gambi is a great host. We had the best desert experience ever!! I highly recommend the place. And definitely take the camels. One again Thank you Gambi.
- Ronald (10/5): Stayed 2 nights with my 11 year old son, we enjoyed every moment! - The camp is in the middle of the desert, totally quiet (except some occasional noise from Quads). The host is very friendly, everything very well organised, the camp is simple, but everything clean. Food was delicious! We stayed 2 nights and made a 2.5 hrs camel trip on the second day, all the sand, the quietness and the slow pace felt fantastic! For everyone who can do without running water (toilet is available and also facility for brushing teeth and washing hands, etc..) and entertainment for a while I suggest to stay more than one night to get a better feeling. The costs for meals and camels add up a bit, but it was worth it completely. We definitely will go again when we visit Marocco next time.
- Jesse (10/5): Exceptional -
- Noah (10/5): Just marvelous, Gambi made everything to feel us welcome, respected and made sure we had a beautiful experience in the d -
- Renee (10/5): A diamond in the rough - Had a wonderful experience at Gambi camp! A far more authentic experience than staying in a roadside luxury desert camp.
Gambi was super hospitable and friendly, he even walked us up to the top of one of the dunes to watch the stars in the evening. He has a bubbly personality and was easy to talk to.
The food 👌🏻 delicious! And so much of it. We even had some wine with our meal which was not expected.
The location of the camp is further into the desert right next to a huge sand dune so you really feel like you’re deep in the desert. The moon was shining bright so we didn’t see so many stars in the evening but I got up early in the morning and it was stunning; stars as far as you could see.
Would highly recommend this place to other people who would like to enjoy a less “touristic” experience and have some peace out in the desert. Would love to come back and sleep on the sand under the stars next time.
- Virginia (10/5): Perfect desert experience - The camp is in the middle of the dunes, very far from all other camps so it's the perfect desert experience. The host is very welcoming, good at communication and really flexible in adapting to your preferences. Prices were communicated in advance and very reasonable.
- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Experience the Sahara desert and REAL local culture for cheap! - Best experience of my entire Morocco trip. Gambe and his team went out of their way to make sure we had a fun time and gave us a really genuine experience into Berber culture.
The camel ride is really fun, the food is great, and the rooms comfy and clean. Camp is also way out in the desert so you literally have all the dunes for as far as the eye can see all to yourself. I rave about the adventure I had in the desert with Gambe and highly recommend them. No toilet out in the desert so you have to be comfortable roughing it for your stay. You do get to clean up at a proper hotel when you get back to Hassilabied though!
- Francesco (6/5): Amazing location, cold-feeling experience - The location, Gambe cooked a very good dinner, the privacy (it was just us two), tranquil and quiet atmosphere to enjoy the stars, very nice small camp. Gambe wasn't very talkative, the whole experience felt very cold. He refused to have dinner with us even if we invited him two times and preferred to remain talking with his friend in arabic: it felt like we were the nuisance of their own camping trip. Our only interactions came from us asking questions. Also in the morning he was very pushy to go back.
Also the price of the room seems good but keep in mind that you will need to add camels and dinner and the total will be over 100 euros.
- Beatriz (10/5): Experiencia maravillosa. Repetiré. Wonderful experience. I will repeat. - Maravillosa experiencia. Absolutamente recomendable. Una noche maravillosa bajo las estrellas. La comida es excelente.
Wonderful experience. Absolutely reccomended. Amazing night under the stars. Excellent food.
