- Regina (7/5): Find somewhere else. - The help we received from the people who manage the property was great. They made sure our issue was fixed quick The mattress was dirty and uncomfortable. No instructions on how to use furnace. Was never told by booking we needed to bring our own linens . That should be disclosed on the booking.

- melinda_lim (1/5): It's cheap for a reason - The property managers use a bait-and-switch tactic. They have a normal listing with points like: - someone on site will check guest ID and credit card on check in - provide amenities like toiletries So you think you're booking a standard cottage stay. And after booking, they send you a message saying that there are no bedsheets, blankets or towels provided. Also, when we came to check in (albeit late in the evening), it didn't seem like there was anyone on site.

- Lorraine14 (1/5): - It is well located. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights, and there was hot water on only one of those days. My friend got sick—she got fever from having to shower in cold water. I contacted the hosts to let them know; they came to check, and the water went from cold to lukewarm. I told them again, they came back to check once more, and finally, there was hot water. However, the very next day, the hot water disappeared again. There is no place to eat inside, so we had to eat on the sofa; there is a table outside, but it was too cold to go out.

- GYONGYI (1/5): Heart broken celebration - Absolutely nothing I booked this place to celebrate my 79th birthday. After loosing both my son and then my husband of 59 years. The place looks nothing like what the picture shows.. I was not expecting foo foo items. But I did expect a cozy little cottage as shown in the picture. I was greatly disappointed that you don’t even get bedding sheets pillows of any kind. The kitchenette is nothing more than a camping sink in the same room as the bed. It was dark, not welcoming at all, not to mention enem the front door had an issue opening. I did not stay here and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for anybody else very deceiving advertisement

I would have possibly seen the tape everywhere, ceiling outlets exposed, electrical wall panel exposed, water heater exposed, toilet plumbing coming through ceiling from upstairs, every flush every water use, neighbors...you can hear everything which means they hear everything. The pizza place next door....no. For the future, I'm going to try and stay away from the places that are run by certain owners and the people they employ. Tulip lane, village cabins and boulder bay, no no no. Im a local . I go up a lot. Fishing. Family.

The only thing I didn’t like was that it was a little complicated to find since it’s near other cottages and I had to contact the property to help and they didn’t seem too willing but after a bit we got some help and enjoyed our stay.

- Deborah (5/5): It was a nice stay but I suggest provide people with the essentals - It was a big cottage with lots of room I did NOT like that they do NOT provide sheets, blankets, pellows or towels. When you rent places, they always provide those essentials. I never received the email so I had to pay extra money in order for then to provide us with those essentials and they still didn't give us enough so I had to use my jacket as a blanket.

- peyton (1/5): Horrible - Upon checking into this establishment, I noticed a lot of duct tape and electrical tape being used to hold things together. They used flooring that you would normally walk on for wall coverings. The place cleanliness was not cleaned at all. It looks like they made a puzzle piece with putting the toilet back together. As far as the base this place provided, no towels. No type of amenities, nothing. Anybody. Working maintenance for this place should be fired immediately as I am a 26 year superintendent for a large construction company Would would have been better is if this place was demolished and basically put all the way to the ground. They need to rebuild this place and start from the ground up. Horrible horrible horrible establishment. I will be contacting the county and some people that I know in the county to red tag these facilities

- CHRISTINA (6/5): Good location & cozy bed but, $94 a night for a dirty cabin with no toiletries as promised doesn’t seem fair but $82 - I liked the location. The king bed was very comfortable. The TV was a great source of entertainment & the coffee machine & refrigerator were very useful. I didn’t like that it needed cleaning: cobwebs in all corners/ceiling/light fixtures, the dishes on the drying rack were filthy probably because the dish soap was watered down. We were told that they will provide “toiletries” in the bathroom so we packed accordingly but, there was only toilet paper; that was a huge inconvenience. We had to steer clear of the ant trails in the shower and on the bathroom sink.

- Carinna (2/5): An uncomfortable and lacking stay. - Good location Very uncomfortable cottage. Looks like it was built inside someone’s home, but they never finished renovating it. We could hear people walking around upstairs and all their conversations. The doors don’t even lock- it just prevents you from turning the handle, but no deadbolt. Feels unsafe, we didn’t sleep well. It was very messy and unfinished, and felt very dirty and my socks were brown from just walking around. The furniture was incredibly cheap and uncomfortable. We had to bring all our own sheets and towels, but we saw their garage (connected to our unit) full of linens and washing machines… so they do provide linens, just not for our unit? Seemed weird to me.

- Marcy (6/5): Pleasant - Wonderfully clean, and everything was in working order except the heater. Had all needed BASIC amenities. Very sound and no bugs inside. Nice!! It was too close to the main, very busy road. Very noisy. Having people upstairs was a little noisy, but not their fault. The grounds were very congested, too many places stacked on top of each other, felt like I was in an apartment in the middle of the city. But that is just a personal dislike. No room outside for dogs.

We left early because we could not stand it anymore. Sit on the bed & it sinks inches while moving the bed sideways. Refrigerator froze our food. Could not regulate temperature.

- Tara (7/5): I enjoyed being in Big Bear for New Year’s Eve. - The bed was very comfortable. I loved the location but I always love to stay in Boulder Bay. It’s a lot more quiet and serene. The couch wasn’t very comfortable and the TV was only in the living room so it wasn’t like I could sit in the bedroom on the comfortable bed and watch TV. I did actually miss having a real fireplace versus the gas fireplace, which was the only heat source for the house. Also I paid more for extra space but I wasn’t told that it was connected to a house that I shared a wall with that then had a second floor which was above me. So I didn’t really feel like I had my own cottage. It’s the reason why I don’t stay in motels there so I can have my own space.

The drain pipes were held open and viewable from inside our room and every time some from above was flushing. we could hear everything coming down in our cabin. The cleanliness was okay. The shower had few hair hanging on to the wall. the pictures are deceiving as there was no stove and utensils as shown in the pictures.

A thin partition, neighboring children through a thin wall prevented us from sleeping, we did not get enough sleep (I slept in the car. The girl was lying in her clothes on the bed (did not get enough sleep). We were not warned that there would be a family with children behind the wall. The shower is barely holding up. 7. Return the money.

When we go there it was 2nd floor studio no stove no kitchen no table.I rent the property 12/23/24 to12/26/24 but I give it back I cancelled and moved out on 12/24/24at 9:15AM. I am a disabled woman and rented this property thinking it was as advertised in the photos but the reality did not match what was being advertised. This is false advertisement. I didn’t like that property at all.I will recommend to everyone don’t rent property from them.Instead of one bedroom they give us studio in the attic no kitchen no table.

- Novelyn (7/5): Cute and Comfy. Great Location - Overall the cabin was very cozy. All of the heat sources made it very warm and comfortable. Spacious floor plan with nice kitchen. Location was convenient and easy to get to off the main road in Big Bear. Two suggestions. 1. The bedroom windows need curtains that cover the whole window especially being off the main road and close proximity to other cabins. 2. Invest in foam toppers for the beds. The mattresses were beyond hard and felt like you were sleeping on the floor. We had a great time but our sleep was terrible and our necks and backs hurt. Sleep is important especially when doing outdoor activities. Being your own pillows!

- Aguirre (1/5): Terrible place to stay, not sure why they bother to charge a cleaning fee. Stay somewhere else. - The only upside is it is close to the Bear Creek Resort. Which is where you should be staying instead as it’s similarly priced and kept in a much better condition. The property was kept in a poor condition. The floor and ceiling had infilled conduit holes and not surprisingly the walls seemed like they were falling apart and behind them appeared to be plastic sheeting that was easily visible. The room smelled like cigarettes. The shower was extremely small and the curtain provided was inadequate as it barely covered a portion of the entrance of the shower, causing a puddle that all of the towels provided had to be used to clean up. The info on booking.com seems like you are getting a whole cabin, however we did not and were in a duplex like building. Complete with broken down car out front and what appeared to be a junkyard out back. They refused to refund us one of the two nights we stayed as we found better accommodations down the street and were willing to eat the cost of this one and just leave.
