• CLIVEY (10/5): - HOME FROM HOME -Awesome Service from Grace. My room was large enough which included a step in cupboard, an a large lounge and kitchen, bathroom, shower and toilet. Will recommend this to any solo traveller or Family who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of City Life . Truelly a relaxing 2 days of tranquility. Nothing to report

Privacy and a peaceful location were highly appreciated by my family. Will certainly book there again when in Potch. Nothing at all.

• George (6/5): Apart from the toilet issue, the price is good, value for money. - The location of the place is well, in a private area. The outside area is good and one can relax outside. The place is secure. The receptionist was pleasant Unfortunately the toilet in my room was not working properly. It was like the sewer pipe was partially blocked because after flashing the water was coming up.

• Shrikant (10/5): Perfect and welcoming :) - Rob's place was a tranquil, friendly and welcoming environment during a conference visit to Potchefstroom. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff and management are very friendly. They were extremely accommodating of changing holiday plans. If I could stay longer I would have made good use of the patio and braai area. My next trip to Potchefstroom will most certainly be booked to stay here :)

• Tebogo Ignitius (9/5): Reviews can be deceiving, especially for Rob's place. I enjoyed my first time stay with an extension - First of all, the location was 3min walk to my workshop. The staff was friendly, kind and welcoming, available and present. The wifi was strong all the time. The house rules are clear and fair. I met one of the owners and her white dog. Super kind beautiful lady. I even extended my stay with another night. Oh I almost forgot, I read all the previous reviews before my stay and I noticed that Rob's place responded to many. The idea of fresh long-life milk was a top-notch for me. Kudos Rob's place management. The rooms are super spacious for my preference and they are clean okay!, and all my requests were met without any extra charges (Let me spare the details). So let us address the elephant in the room. The fact that Rob's place is ranked least in bookings.com in Potchefstroom and bad reviews outweigh good reviews. Most reviews there are deceiving and I do not like that at all (if you are not going to create time and read the house rules behind your room's door then you will leave a bad review that will deceive the future visitor's perception about Rob's place). I didn't like the fact that I did not ask about any available vacancies that they have at Rob's place. I forgot to ask who actually responds to our reviews but if Rob is also reading our reviews when he gets the capacity to, I am happy. And for sure, my 2 night stay flew faster than I had imagined it would be, meaning I enjoyed my stay without a doubt.
• Tebogo Ignitius (9/5): Rob's place, most of your bad reviewers and ranking are wrong about you! - I already shared in the previous review because on this day, I had extended my stay with another night, Will I book at Rob's place again, for sure! Your preferences may not be the same as my preferences but before you make up your mind with only from reading the reviews, visit Rob's place then compare your reviews to the reviews you read. I look forward to read your new reviews. Speaking for self, I am not happy with the ranking of Rob's place compared to other Potchefstroom accommodations. I deceives better without an argument. I like to type, certainly to give honest reviews, do not mind me but I hope this would help not only Rob's place but you, the future visitor! Thanks Rob's place for not being so welcoming and kind, but for being located around green trees and a lonely quiet place!

• Itani (5/5): Basic. You get what you paid for. - Location. The area is very quite. TV was not working, no working desk and no hot water on the second day, so I had to take a cold shower. To be fair to the property I later noticed a notice about guaranteed hot water availability times, which between 5am to 6am.

• Edmond (7/5): Good - The place was big enough for us The cleaners did not clean properly. They didnt change the Towels, the floor mat were also dirty & wet, instead of chqnging the Towels they use the same Towels. They did not change the beddings. We bath with cold water for two days
• Pumla (5/5): Was just fair for the price. - Location was terrible as the signage is far from their entrance gate. More signage to be visible from the one they had to the entrance gate, Potchefstroom is very hot, so air conditioners need to work as we are coming from humid areas, was difficult to sleep with the fan as it was blowing directly to the face.

• Andrew (7/5): Rob's Place is ideally situated when you need some tranquility after a long drive. - Rob's Place is perfectly located on the outskirts of Potchefstroom. If tranquillity is what you need, this it the right place for you. On a scorchingly hot day, unfortunately the air conditioner was not working. Also, not being comfortable with drinking the tap water, bottled water upon arrival would have been a relatively cheap touch just to say that we care.

• Jeannie (3/5): I shall not stay there again. I definitely do not recommend this accomodation. - I had a place to shower. I had a bed to sleep on. The Google pin does not mark the location at all. I searched 30 minutes in the dark, dangerously turning around over a busy road. The cellphone reception is very poor. I was asked if I paid when I arrived, even after my payment and booking was confirmed. It was as if I was not expected there. There was no remote for the aircon: The next morning when I mentioned this, I was told I had to pay R25 extra per day if I wanted the remote for the aircon - I should have asked when I arrived. The result - I did not know so I spent a night in a heatwave with open windows, no burglar bars, lots of mosquitoes, as well as the loud music from a night club close by. I wasn't given the Wifi pin. I should have asked... There was no toilet paper. There was no fresh drinking water - the tap water was stale. The room was dusty, it seemed as if it was closed for a long time. The kettle was filled with stale water and dead insects. The two rusks in a zip log bag was also dusty. I wondered how much extra you should pay to have the above basics as well.

• Awie (5/5): Neutral, looking again for accommodation in Potchefstroom but hesitance to book at Robs Place. - On Bookings.com I booked a room with its own fridge, aircon and kitchen. On my arrival the room was part of a communal kitchen and fridge. After a long discussion they move me to a more private room. The discrepancy on what you book and pay for between what you get on arrival.

Had to pay for A/C remote,stayed only one night instead of 2 that was booked, no refund, had to leave because of medical back issue and dissatisfaction of facility
