Guest Reviews
- Eddy (10/5): It was a fascinating and lovely experience, only wish it could have been longer. - Quite an incredible house, never stayed anywhere remotely like it. Unusual, wacky but fascinating and incredible character, and we loved it. Quite an adventure just exploring the house. Wivenhoe is also a very sweet place - nice, unusual little town and shops, and the riverside is lush, very pretty and extremely chilled. A place where not many would thing about visiting, but it is a little jewel. Don't want to say anything really, but if you were to force me to have to then I might say a brighter coloured wallpaper on the bedroom on the first floor (but to be honest, to do that may well spoil its character so best ignore me), and perhaps a door on the on-suite bathroom in that bedroom (but that's not down to me). Honestly, the place is amazing, and more character than any other place I have been in.
- Lisa (10/5): - The house was lovely Nothing
- Jeni (10/5): - Everything!!! It was quirky, beautiful, so well equipped, the location was phenomenal. Gorgeous town, amazing house, fantastic decor. Comfy sofas, gorgeous kitchen. Fabulous beds Nothing. It was literally perfect
- Shane (8/5): Lovely, clean and great location - Great location and local amenities. Very quirky house, clean bedding and towels too. Nowhere to put things in the main bedroom, no dressing table or usable surfaces.
- Michal (10/5): -
- Peter (10/5): Can’t think of a better location for enjoying Wivenhoe - Character Nothing
- Phaokrueng (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful characterful property - Beautiful property with plenty of character, in a lovely location just a minute from the river. The property has everything we needed and the hosts kindly left a travel cot out for us in too. Communication from the host was fantastic and she was very quick to answer any of my questions. We all loved it- thank you!
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional - Easy check in using the key safe. House is full of character and charm but is also practical, with things like the heating and hot water system easy to use and well explained.
We didn't stay long due to a work event but used the local convenience store which was handy. Pubs, restaurants and cafes all looked nice in the lovely little village
