My husband, kids and I wished we could have such a beautiful home and the detailing were inspirational. Beautiful smelling handwashing, body wash, sprays, comfortable bed linen, it had everything that made our stay so nice. We all loved it and were very comfortable and felt happy and relaxed.
• Elizabeth (9/5): Cosy cottage on the Hill - Lovely little cottage. Weather was wet and a little chilly when we arrived so to find the extra heater in the bedroom and electric blankets was the best. (Beds and pillows very comfortable) The home has all the creature comforts with a well stocked kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Short drive to shops, beach and attractions our stay was made perfect. Home owner was a pleasure to communicate with. Everything was great. Parking was a little tight and the couch wasn't very comfortable however these things did not impact our stay as we loved our time here.

• Zara (10/5): - One of the best places we have ever stayed. Ange hadn't missed a detail. Had gone above and beyond with all the little touches. Felt like home but equally like a 5 star hotel - and had many extras that you wouldn't even get in a 5 star hotel. Would love to stay here again. Nothing.

• Melissa (10/5): - N/a When I booked I went via the dog friendly places - this popped up, i also tried to change from 1 person to 2 but the system would not let me. The owner was not happy with me as he said I had not told them about the dog or extra person - i was not trying to hide anything - I believed i had done all the right steps, the system is to be blamed not me.

The property is beautiful with cozy decor and added little touches that were much appreciated, such as the delicious cookies on arrival. The hosts communication was great and the instructions on how to collect the house keys from the lock box was very well organised. I would definitely recommend Barkly beach house to anyone wanting accommodation in Warrnambool, we loved it!

It was impeccably clean, with so many very thoughtful touches and just wonderful place to stay in. Lovely little backyard to sit outside and enjoy the sun, and great space for the dog to roam around.

• Lyn (10/5): We will be back! - EVERYTHING!!!! We loved this property. It had everything we expected and more! We enjoyed a quiet night in, on a wet and windy night. The room was set up with high-end fixtures and furniture and was extremely comfortable for us and our puppy (very small dog friendly venue - well set up and fenced properly). The bed and shower was heavenly, and the room had everything you could need for a holiday stay. We particularly liked the cork board with local suggestions for visits, walks, restaurants and vet. Bed pillows were not so comfortable. Maybe a few stepping stone pavers in the outdoor with the table , so its not so uncomfortable barefoot. Note on people staying with pets: Dogs are not allowed around the lake and on certain beaches and not in the botanical gardens :(

Very well equipped kitchen, chromecast, long comfy couch, blankets, complimentary bickies, and a corkboard of local suggestions for food/activities just a few of the things that made our stay even better. Loved being able to bring our pup with us 💕 . Highly recommend this stay! That we couldn't stay longer!

• Sarah (9/5): A quaint cottage that feels like home - Barkly Beach House is a gorgeous, quirky (in a good way) cottage, which has been done up with care and real attention to detail. The house oozes comfort and homeliness, whilst being functional and very practical for four people. We were there only a short time, but would absolutely come back and stay again. Ange was great to deal with, very accommodating and responsive. Nothing, it was really lovely.

The space was beautifully furnished and cozy, and the backyard was perfect for relaxing while the kids played. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind as a family!

Mattress was a little too soft and springy for us. The TV didn’t have ability to log onto Internet streaming services such as Netflix.
