Guest Reviews
- Putu Nanda (6/5): Not our Best Stay - The location is amazing and the bed is comfy. Staffs were also trying to help me out although it’s very hard to find them sometimes. There are very loud noises surrounding as we stayed over the weekend and the noises were non stop till morning. The property really needs to do something as we could hear everything from the bathroom 😣😣😣 and we couldn’t sleep the whole night.
- max (10/5): would come here again - i loved it so much here , huge space and super quiet as it’s tucked behind a warung on the Main Street , super clean and the pool is awesome. Is super central aswell about 7-10 min walk to beach
- Ollie (10/5): -
- Emma (8/5): - Die Lage war sehr gut, es war sauber und das Personal war freundlich. Die Klimaanlage hat nicht so ganz funktioniert, es war ziemlich warm, obwohl sie auf höchster Stufe eingestellt war.
- Tasneem (10/5): It was amazing - Everything, the room is super cozy, the staff are accommodating, and the location is perfect. Its just noisy because of its location.
- Dhillon (8/5): -
- Jin Ying (10/5): - Walking distance to milk and madu, Gigi susu, mason bar etc
Very clean and comfortable.
- Asjad (8/5): -
- Jasmine (10/5): Nice rooms, convenient location. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Walk to the beach. Helpful staff. - Beautiful place and people.
- Mark (10/5): Excellent - Everything was great and the staff were friendly and very polite Nothing
- Carpenter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (9/5): Superb -
- Karl (9/5): Excellent stay for a great price. Highly recommend. - Couldn’t have picked a more perfect location. So close to the beach and all the highly rated amenities. Room itself is designed to a high spec and offers more than adequate space. It was sometimes difficult to find hotel staff on the ground but the owner of the hotel replied fairly quickly when we needed help.
There was also a slight damp smell in the room but was a minor issue for us and was likely just exclusive to our room.
- Emma (9/5): Great guest house in central location - Central location, large rooms and bathroom which has a modern feel. TV with Netflix is a good bonus for chilled evenings. Staff were friendly - I accidentally left my yoga mat and they arranged to keep it safe until it could be picked up again. WiFi is weak - tried to work from the room but very difficult. Due to central location, it can be very loud at night - take earplugs.
- Muhammad (7/5): Good -
- Alexane (9/5): Superb -
- Joann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lea (7/5): Great location with friendly people - Great location and 5 minutes walk to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Finding the property can be challenging for the first time if your driver doesn’t know the exact location
- Emma (9/5): Great friendly guest house in central location - Clean and modern room, really nice bathroom and spacious room for a budget guest house.
Friendly staff - always smiling and helped me with my bags from the car in the rain when I arrived (thank you again!)
Free water refill
Great local restaurant beneath by same owner
Central location Slight damp smell in my room - not bad enough to complain and I extended my stay - this was the only negative.
- Evgenii (4/5): Disappointing - terrible smell, impossible to stay in the room. When checking in, the air conditioner is on full - impossible to understand anything. If you turn it off or reduce the power, there is a terrible smell. I spent one night, the second night I moved to another hotel despite the fact that 2 days were paid for. Look at other reviews, they also write about this. I thought they had already fixed it - but no.
- Ксения (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jules (9/5): Amazing place and amazing value for money, would stay there again - Location was amazing. Room had everything you needed and was very clean A bit of noise from the street but it is hard to escape this in Canggu
- Aurian (7/5): Good but noisy street and bad smell at the entrance - Modern and spacious bedroom Restaurant terrific smell at hotel entrance
- Toulla (8/5): Very good -
- Siew (8/5): Very good -
- Jade (7/5): Clean and comfy - The bed was large and comfy.
Could connect Netflix on TV.
30 seconds from the Main Street.
They helped us pre book an airport taxi for our day of check out. We arrived at 6pm and they told us we hadn’t booked despite me showing them a confirmation email. They had to call the boss and then make up our room which was less than ideal after 8 hours travelling. They stored our bags whilst we waited for the room to be ready.
- Rafi (8/5): I didn’t spend much time in the room but it was comfortable enough to recharge and explore again. It could use a little - Quiet. Intimate. Cost appropriate. Walking distance from restaurants. A portion of the wall in the bathroom has uncovered holes that lead to outside. It’s almost like having a permanent open window. This easily grants mosquitoes or other critters access to the bathroom.
Lights should remain on at night at the main entry door of the property. After a certain time at night the door is locked. You are given a key to enter the property and using that same key lock the door behind you. At night it’s difficult to see the key slot.
Power went out for a while. Seems the property has no back up power.
Some rooms look aesthetically than others.
Sheets were stained and some pillows had a sour smell.
Pool shower and bathroom stayed dirty. Trash can was always overflowing with garbage.
- Funda (5/5): Passable - Good location but no sound isolation! You have to sleep with street noises. Also breathing was hard because of the dampness in the room. Stuffs are so kind and helpful. There is a pool but very small No place for sunbathing. Also you can get the smell of the restaurants food which is next to hotel
- Kuntay (5/5): It was ok - Staff and the Location There were ants on the bed, the staff tried to help. They changed the sheets and sprayed around. They have brought an air purifier for the smell of moisture.
- Khiani (6/5): Pleasant - Room and hotel was stunning and seemed very well maintained. Room seemed very clean with fresh new furniture. Bed was so comfy and sheets were very clean. It is clear that great pride is taken in this hotel and it is kept well maintained. Unfortunately, there is one thing that was pretty bad that made me feel very uncomfortable and unwell.
There was black mould in the room that the hotel had painted over. When I opened the doors it was all I could smell and I even left the doors open for 7 hours to air it out which didn’t really help.
Mould can make you very sick and the hotel should not be just painting over this. They should be removing it and cleaning it properly.
The next day I woke up super run down. I did contemplate moving hotels but as it was late in the day I was finding it hard to find somewhere else.
Such a shame because everything else was perfect.
- Abes (9/5): Superb -
- Hasan (9/5): Superb -
- Filip (10/5): Wonderful place - Staff are very friendly, place is lovely. It’s very comfortable, clean, well maintained. It’s nearby the beach and great food options. It’s too noisy for me. I’m a light sleeper. While location is great it’s too busy and noisy till late evening and from early morning.
- Alejandra (8/5): Very good -
- Gabrielle (10/5): Perfect spot in Canggu - Loved this stay in Canggu! You can easily walk to the beach and amazing restaurants. The bed is comfy and the bathroom is spacious. The staff are amazingly friendly and I made my own coffee in the shared kitchen every morning and had lunch at the excellent warung right in front. 100% would stay again. nothing
- Anna (7/5): Good - The staff were LOVELY! The room was so so clean and modern. Kitchen was great.
Warung next door was amazing. Close to the beach Traffic noise. In a very busy area. No where to sit around the pool
- Meral (10/5): good location - very good location too noisy as it’s just on the main road
- Jacques (7/5): Good short term stay - The room itself was spacious and clean, lovely place to stay. Smart tv was great. The room I had was right next to the road leading down to the beach and bar area, so it tended to be noisy with rowdy drunk people and motorbikes till around 3am in the morning
- Kinga (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location and extremely clean property. The staff is very kind and helpful.
- Kim (9/5): Good value for money - Clean, nice bed, really good bathroom and shower, great location to explore the busy part of Canggu. The noise from the street is extreme. Without earplugs you won’t get a sleep.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (8/5): We had a lovely stay overall at this property. - We enjoyed our stay. The property is well located and the staff were wonderful. The pool is a bit small, but it’s still nice. We had a hard time finding the property, but the staff were helpful when our grab driver dropped us off at another nearby hotel. They even came and got us and directed us to the property.
- Archie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leonie (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptionally clean and well cared for with lovely staff, trying to meet your every needs. Spacious rooms with all the modcons and aimed to make you comfortable to such a level of detail with an eye on sustainability (loved the rainbow coloured toothbrush!), well equipped communal kitchen area with free-flow water and tee/coffee. Warung Varuna right next door is another huge plus! Close to the beaches and Canggu life without it being too close to any party zone. Note that it's not a super quiet place and close to the street but no problem to sleep with earplugs. Clothes rack to dry your stuff outside after coming back from the beach would be great.
