Guest Reviews
- Camille (7/5): Good - You are surrounded by nature. You really can hear them at night. Love the trails there. We were able to see a lot of things. There is holes in the cabinet so we had a few insects inside and it was quite hot also.
- Maggie (8/5): Nice location, friendly staff - Very nice breakfast. Set in lovely location. Room was too dark. Lighting in room
- Cristian (9/5): Superb -
- Jackie (10/5): Lush, beautiful grounds - Remote, quiet location with beautiful grounds. Jorge is a wonderful, kind host. Be sure to bring cash to pay for room. Booking.com does not note that on their description
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely stay with a delicious breakfast and super friendly care. They checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable and sorted the tiniest little issue that we had. The location is super close to el Río Celeste and we had a super fun tour at the Sloth's ecological farm. Your hosts here are 10/10 amazing.
- Amanda (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at this nice family-run hotel. - Very nice staff, good restaurant on site. Room was nicely-appointed with thoughtful touches. Nice breakfast, would have been better with gayo pinto.
- Joanna (9/5): Superb - The location is wonderful. The cabin is set on the edge of the rainforest and you can see and hear the rainforest all around through the big, screened windows. We saw howler monkeys, toucans, a sloth and many other creatures while we were there. The staff are very friendly and the food in the restaurant is great.
- Daniel (10/5): Jungle experience - We arrived around 5pm, get acquainted with the room, then had a nice meal at their restaurant. The next morning we had a private guided tour and saw bats, sloths and more on the farm (15usd/person)
You'll experience full in costa rica. We also had a half-eaten banana on our porch in the morning - monkeys :) I may add - you are middle of a farm (almost jungle feeling) so it is LOUD - we really enjoyed it, but it is not that relaxing during the night.
- Hsu (10/5): A very tranquil environment. - Jorge greeted us and showed us our room. The room was rustic but clean. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was yummy. The surroundings are quaint, peaceful surrounded by nature. A few bugs came inside the room but thats expected staying in the jungle.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (8/5): Great off route stay in a sweet little lodge that felt like it was in the middle of the forest - Loved the jungle location and the Hummingbird Cafe bar. Breakfast was good but slightly limited - although enjoyed the company of 5 toucans! Enjoyed a guided walk of the grounds and saw sloths, monkeys, toucans, frogs. Very friendly staff The nylon sheets on the double bed! Would have been nice to have had a little sunbathing area - everything was very much in the shade
- Tim (8/5): A memorable stay in a jungle setting and bird watching from the restaurant was a bonus. Pura Vida. - They should ask the guest how do they want their eggs cooked. And the toast was a little greasy/salty. Could have some fresh fruit added.
Location was great. It’s quiet. Access roads could have some improvement.
Nature trail was great. A wifi/tv in the room could have been better .
The cracks on the wall could have been sealed to prevent insects and frog 🐸 from coming in (seen one the bathroom 😊 it didn’t do any harm).
- Roy (10/5): The perfect jungle stay! You will not be disappointed. - Jorge and his family were the best hosts. Our stay in the Casita was wonderful. Everything was perfect, very clean and comfortable. I loved keeping the window opened at night and listening to the jungles sounds and howler monkeys We liked everything. The food was awesome, the staff attentive, the surroundings were amazing .
- Yi (10/5): Exceptional - I must say that my stay exceeded my expectations. The photos of the place do not do it justice. The property is surrounded by beautiful rainforest plantations, and the room was spacious with a huge showerhead. The amazing artwork done by Jorge, the owner, added to the overall charm of the place. Breakfast was delicious, and I highly recommend going on the sloth tour offered at the property. Even in the rain, I was able to see a sloth moving! During my entire stay, it was raining, so there were some bugs in the room and it was quite humid, but I expected this considering the location of the place. There is no Wi-Fi in the room, and cellular service is limited. However, Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant outside. Despite this, I had a peaceful time being able to disconnect from technology and indulge in nature.
- Giuseppe (10/5): Perfect stay. - Very nice accommodation in the middle of nature. The host is a super nice person taking care of everyone! Amazing nightwalks and daytrips for a cheap price. Would highly recommend this place for everyone!
- Fabienne (10/5): Beautiful and cozy hotel with wonderful staff and sloth sightings right next to ones room - Beautiful location in the jungle with very nice rooms
- Matthieu (10/5): I will recommended to stay at this place if you passed by, the all stuff are incredible humans, and if you are lucky you - We had some privacy in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the jungle and his glittering sounds. It was super peaceful before closing the eyes, sunk into the comfortable mattress. Nothing, really I’m trying to think about something and everything was perfect.
