• Eddie Hamilton (9/5): Enjoyed the accommadation and the entire Island Ill be back! - The property is a few Ks from the main town, that didnt bother me as we rented a car. There is a bus stop, pharmacy, bread shop and a hospital within 150 meters of the property. I think if you are there to track the mountains, you would be in a perfect location. I didn't have any dislikes TBH

• Michael (1/5): Many problems - The view from this property is good Water damage on walls, exposed electrics, mould. We left property early when water leaked from a light socket. We have requested a refund for the 3 days we didn’t stay. Still waiting for a resolution.

• Ngoc Nam (9/5): Nice property overall - The property was well-sized and fully equipped with all amenities (kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living room, fridge, and washer). A parking spot was also available. The staff/owner were responsive – we had an issue with the washer, which was quickly fixed. The property also offered a nice view. While the location is overall nice, it is situated on narrow and hilly streets, so caution is advised for beginner drivers. Restaurants are also located a bit further away.

WIFI, la vue, pas trop loin de Funchal. canapé pas confortable et pas propre, on a retrouvé un briquet entre les coussins. problème le mercredi avec la machine à laver et pas de réponse depuis du propriétaire. Lits pas confortables. Environnement avec les chiens qui hurlent à la mort toute la nuit. Accès à la place de stationnement pas de niveau donc la voiture touchait à chaque entrée et sortie. On est situé à Monte pas sur Funchal.

Ein zweites Mal würde ich allerdings nicht mehr kommen. - Die Aussicht ist wirklich toll, es gibt einen privaten Autoabstellplatz, eine Bäckerei ist in der Nähe, grundsätzlich sind alle Sachen vorhanden die man braucht (manche funktionieren leider nicht) Schimmel in den Ecken im Raum, Licht im Schlafzimmer funktioniert nicht (keine Glühbirne), Steckdose in der Küche hängt halb aus der Wand, keine Heizkörper in Bad, Küche (es ist kalt beim Duschen), Fernseher funktioniert nicht, WLAN Passwort funktioniert nicht, Duschkopf lässt sich nicht an der Wand befestigen (habe ich repariert), Sessel in der Küche ist kurz vor dem Auseinanderfallen (habe ich repariert), Griff fehlt bei Küchenkasten (habe ich repariert) es ist nicht sauber, Kopfpolster im Schlafzimmerkasten ist so schmutzig, dass man nicht einmal angreifen möchte, die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer ist mühsam ....

The kitchen is very well equipped. Clean towels were laid out. A washing machine, hairdryer, and other appliances are available. The bathroom is perfectly adequate. It’s a great base for traveling – access to the local “highway” is literally around the corner :). Communication with the owner was smooth over the phone, and he was very accommodating. He replied on WhatsApp but didn’t respond to messages on Booking.com, so don’t worry about him not replying: he contacted me in advance on the day of arrival, and everything went smoothly. It could use a bit of care: the bathroom window wouldn’t close, the shower drain cover needs attention, and the area around the windows could be cleaner. During the steady rain, a little water did seep in under the front door.

• Judith (8/5): Mehr Monte, weniger Funchal... - Gut ausgestattete, geräumige Wohnung. Balkon/Dachterasse mit herrlicher Aussicht auf Funchal. Bushaltestelle und Bäckerei um die Ecke. Vermieter hat sehr schnell auf Anfragen reagiert. Der Ort Monte mit den bekannten Korbschlitten, der Parkanlage Monte Palace und die Seilbahnstationen nach Funchal oder zum botanischen Garten sind bequem innerhalb einer halben Stunde zu Fuß (teilweise jedoch auf der Fahrstraße) erreichbar. Die Unterkunft ist abseits vom Zentrum gelegen am Hang. Das hat seine Vorteile (Ruhe, Aussicht...), der Weg in die Stadt, zum Einkaufen oder zum Strand ist aber echt steil und dadurch auch lang. Wenn man erstmal das System verstanden hat fahren allerdings regelmäßig Busse. Zudem ist das Stromnetz etwas überlastet gewesen. Uns ist beim Kochen in der wirklich umfangreich ausgestatteten Küche wiederholt die Hauptsicherung rausgeflogen, was den Spaß am Kochen doch sehr gebremst hat. Der Vermieter war aber umgehend zur Aufklärung ansprechbar.

• Raquel (3/5): - No estamos satisfechos ya que reservamos para 4 personas con sofá cama y eéste no se convertía en cama. Era estrecho e incómodo. La primera noche no teníamos ni sábanas ni toallas para el sofá. Hicimos dicha reclamación pero no nos dios solución al tema del sofá, ya que habíamos pagado por ello tal y como ponía en el anuncio. Simplemente nos facilitó las sábanas y toallas. Además estaba todo muy sucio. Alfombras llenas de pelos, manteles sucios con restos de comida, almohadas con manchas, etc. El horno no está anclado al hueco y se sale, etc. En el anuncio también ponía que habría jabón y una botella de vino. Nada de nada. Reclamamos todo esto y no obtuvimos respuesta. Dejó de atender el tlf. Hemos puesto reclamación en booking. La ubicación tampoco es buena. Está en lo alto de un cerro.
