Guest Reviews

- kellie (7/5): Needs a LOT of improvements. Wouldn't recommend until such time - Spacious and clean The following info should be clear on the booking information.
This is a room attached to the owners house, not a unit. You enter by walking through their front yard & up the side of the house.
The room backs onto their kitchen & you can hear all noise.
Their is NOT private parking. First in first served in the owners driveway. Otherwise you find a park where you can on the busy road.
The blind above the bed is broken and does not close, so can see in the room from outside.
There is a tv at the end of the bed but you can't watch it from sitting on the sofa which is a strange set up
There is signage and warnings everywhere about keeping the kitchen clean. There is no hot water at the kitchen sink & no tea towel which I had to purchase
The rubbish bin was very old & dirty, also broken
I also had to go and purchase pillows & a blanket as the pillows were really high & very hard & the coverlet on the bed was thin & slipped off the sheet all night
1 x towel only supplied for 4 night stay with no option for extra towels
The bathmat supplied was covered in ants
In my opinion, not worth $200 per night.
- Pushpika (10/5): Clean and tidy room with all the necessary facilities. Really enjoyed the stay😊 -
- vanessa (8/5): Bon séjour - bon séjour avec toutes les commodités, accueil sympa et chambre confortable
- Gwenda (9/5): Excellent, would stay again - We’ll set up, nice and quite. Landlord/lady warm and welcoming.
- Stewart (9/5): Very comfortable - Nice host and property. Parking was only problem as road very busy.

Ich liebe den Hund ;)
- Richards (10/5): - Fantastic
- Reka (8/5): Good comfortable accommodation - Easy communication with the host No pool
It says pool view
- Jack (8/5): -
- Neil (10/5): -
- Esther (3/5): Converted garage at someone's house - The shower was good There was only a sheet, but no blankets on the bed, so I got cold in the night. Also, no cup or mug when I first arrived, so I bought one from the supermarket. The owner came down a bit later and brought a glass and mug. Also, the bathroom sink was blocked.

- Russell (4/5): Very disappointing and needs to be advertised correctly. - Good water pressure and hot water. Large room. Advertised as 2 double beds but we only had 1 bed.
We needed 2 beds. We didn’t stay the third night.
No parking. If one arrives early enough there may be a street park.
Noise from upstairs all filters down into the unit (clear talking, toilet usage and flushing).
Broken toilet seat (only 1 screw so it swivelled).
Only given 1 tea bag, 1 teaspoon, no tea towel,
No rails to hang towels which had to suffice for a 3 night stay.
Email received about access but the unit was called something different in email to what it was advertised as on Booking.com.
Access was not ideal for older person as we had to go round a truck on the driveway to access the gate.
Only 1 bedside table which had a red light - unsuitable to read by.
Freezer iced up thickly.

- Yogi 1961 (7/5): -
- Yvette (6/5): Not what we thought we booked - Good size room We thought we booked a motel not a private residence. Pool views of a dirty pool not appealing. Renovations need completing.
- VJ Laka (9/5): - Self contained.
Large wardrobe with door size mirrors. I didn't use the AirCon for heating my unit - so unusually cold in the night.
- Alemzadeh (10/5): -
- Millward (10/5): Exceptional - The peice and quiet and the availability at short notice Parking was limited but not far walk
- Dobe (8/5): Very good - No tissues, no tea towel to dry dishes. Could do with refreshing the interior paint.
Experienced only cold water at sink..
- Shivanand (9/5): Superb -
- Su (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cecilia (8/5): The host was very friendly and pleasant. -
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Location was convenient and unit was clean and comfortable. Bit hard to get hold of owner/caŕetaker at first, but we got there in the end. Enjoyed my stay.
- Chol (9/5): Superb -
- Shaunanaginz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grant (7/5): Good -
- Dean (9/5): Superb - Convenient location for our needs.
A sofa to sit on was great. Entry to the unit is via a steep path and steps, which could be difficult for older people or people with a disability.
- Kristina (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Excellent value for money - Cosy and comfortable! The studio was well-appointed with everything needed for a weekend away. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was very handy. Location was also excellent, with plenty of street parking and a shopping centre not far down the road.
- Boyde (8/5): Very good -
- Evette (10/5): Neat tidy well presented property would stay again - Location close enough to the airport for an early departure to meet our flight without having to drive to long. Was quite area and easy to find. Clean to well presented as per photos Windows and blinds if we did not have to get up early I would prefer blinds that would keep the sun shine to a minimum that was the only issue otherwise our stay was very good.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (7/5): Good - Ok for the night, for the price
- Jjshorley (10/5): Okay, for the Price - Easy check in To many bugs in the room
- Claire (4/5): Converted garage, ok for a night or two. - Convenient to family. Nicely renovated bathroom No plates or bowls, no sheet on bed (quilt only), hard noisy bed, noisy plumbing, no bedside lights, no milk or other cooking supplies, ants and bugs, bathroom had no fan, nowhere to hang towels, was given 1 sponge cut into 4 pieces to clean up with for a week.
- Angela (8/5): Relaxing stay with host that tried to accommodate. - Nice unit to stay in when visiting in the area. The host was very accomodating. When we arrived at the address we weren't sure that it was the right place. We took the chance that the dog behind the gate was the friendly pet that was at the address given to us. We opened the gate and went up the hill to where we met the host at the front door. He showed us where we were staying and we went back down the hill to get our suitcases so that we could carry them back up the hill to the unit.
The unit was nice, but the dishes in the dish rack and the bottles of shampoo and body wash in the bottom of the shower made us feel like we had just stepped in to a unit that had just been vacated
- Adele (6/5): Pleasant - The cute doggy, the comfy bed, the cosy room, the affordability, the utilities, the desk space/lounge. The security and privacy.
- John (4/5): Overall it was just somewhere to sleep, shower and eat. I wouldn't bother going back. - Oscar the dog was very friendly ! Shower doors and glass very grubby and back of bathroom door was black with filth. Door lock urgently needs attention. Interior decorating not completed. No teaspoons. No milk in fridge when we arrived and none supplied during our stay. No room service, only one change of towels after we asked for them. Shower floor very slippery and needs a shower mat in it. No dish cloth or tea towels supplied. Car park on steep slope between street footpath and garage door. Access to the unit was up about 10 or 12 steps from the gate. Couldn't see the TV in the living area as it was on the wall in the sleeping area. The view of the green slimy uncleaned pool from the deck was gross. No laundry facilities apart from a shared clothes airer (broken) out on the deck.
- Stuart (8/5): Great location for Sirromet Winery -
- Nanpeng (9/5): Superb -
- Kristy (9/5): Superb -
- Shane (7/5): Good - Very good venue, would certainly consider returning The pool wasn't usable as the online site implied a pool but didn't mention it not usable at the time.
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (8/5): It was a very pleasant stay, host was friendly and unit was clean. - I found this part a bit challenging as I wasn't sure where the unit was on the property. There could have been a few more items in the kitchen. More cutlery and crickery and maybe bowls to heat things in the microwave. Glad wrap would have been handy too.
- Sophie (7/5): Good - Comfortable bed and couch with nice spacious shower. Passionfruit vines outside the window were pretty too look at and there was a large fence all around for good privacy. The check in was very confusing and not explained properly without having to contact them. Aswell as this another old women came to our door tired from travel who wasnt able to contact the host to get into her accomodation putting us in a uncomfortable position. Luckily i assume she was able to contact the host after missed calls.
- Guerrero (9/5): Superb - Very spacious and very quiet Shower drain slow to empty of water. Was afraid the water would flood the bathroom.
- Jim (5/5): Ok for one night but not for a longer term stay; (my wife wouldn't stay here). - Just somewhere to sleep for one night. Some parts of the room unfinished
- Elouise (9/5): The stay was peaceful and enjoyable. I felt very comfortable. - The place was really cozy and welcoming. Felt like I was at my own house. I enjoyed how peaceful it was too. The puppy dog, Axel, was very friendly and enjoyed lots of attention! I wasn't bothered at all (which was great as whilst I was there I was studying)! Very friendly host! I will definitely be coming back. The bed was really comfortable too. Overall, very quiet and comfortable place, perfect for introverts! The bathroom door had a dark spot under the handle where hands have repeatedly touched, just looked a little bit dirty that's all. It wasn't a big deal though!
- Antonia (8/5): Very good -
- Cassie (9/5): Superb - Great space, comfy bed and great communication!
- Peter (10/5): I really enjoy my stay over there the shopping mall is close you can walk for 5 minutes, very friendly the owner I hope - The room was perfect clean suitable for couples and very quiet . Only if the swimming pool ok but so far everything is perfect
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Lovely welcoming host and a clean spacious apartment 😊
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Bernid (3/5): Not Recommended - There wasn't much to like, the room was quite plain, there could have been more attention to detail. We didn't like that it was on the main road, we had to walk up hill to get to the house.
It said we had a view of the pool,
When we got there it was almost empty with dirty water at the bottom....not a nice sight.
The interior walls of the room were made up of some part brick, part plaster board and part tiles with tiles missing in places including the bathroom, which was tiny as well. You couldn't dry yourself properly without turning your body to some angle where you wouldn't hit your arm or hand on the basin or shower door.
There was no top sheet on the bed only a bottom sheet and then the doona. No tea towel provided . It's just the little things but the attention to details added up to a lot of negatives .
The price should have been cheaper for what it was, we were led a stray by the photos and the write up.
We don't recommend staying at this place.
- Victoria (7/5): Cosy comfortable stay - Comfortable bed, very Cosy little room with everything you need for a short stay. Good location, nice & clean. Would stay again. Could of done with some hand soap in the bathroom. There was no dishwashing liquid or tea-towel so I just hope the Cutlery gets washed sufficiently before the next guest. The residents of the house were very noisy late at night, lots of banging.
- Dion (10/5): Great hide away - very friendly welcome
nice clean fresh linen felt I was able to completly relax. very comfortable facility. loved it. wish I could have stayed longer.
- Scott (7/5): Good -
- Kenny (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and comfortable
- Daphne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. The freezer didn't freeze.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Private and clean
- Tracey (10/5): Enjoyable loved the soft over sized towels bedding was great highly recommend - It was convenient The window didn’t have a privacy blind.
Couldn’t watch tv from the bed. No table to rest a drink or meal on. No hooks to put the towels on.
- Rusty351 (9/5): Nice people and comfortable room. Well worth the price paid. - Seperate little studio room with own entrance and access to the back deck. Might have been better if they had a little manual for things like the rubbish or local attractions/amenities? There was a photo of the pool but it wasn’t in use when I was there.
- Joshua (8/5): Very good -
- Martinez (9/5): Superb -
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Yash (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bree (8/5): Very good -
- Bruno (10/5): Exceptional - Great.place, great people, perfect accommodation and not forgetting Axel the border collie!
- Dave (7/5): Overall good stay, comfy bed, facilities was good, location great - Location and reasonable cost Noise carry through from main house /need soundproofing. Overall studio room just needs a few finishing touches
- Ahmed (7/5): Good -
- Helen (9/5): Comfortable affordable unit - Proximity to where I had to be
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Security, although steps a little difficult to navigate for seniors. Stairs , coming home in the dark was difficult for me as an 80 year old.
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Hostess Lanka was very obliging and helped me to carry up my luggage on arrival. Was always available to help if I was not able to open the gates. Very secure location. Washing up liquid wasn't available for dishwashing.
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Jen (10/5): Friendly host, comfortable bed, would stay again. - The bed was very comfortable, the unit had everything that I needed. Nothing
- Marita (7/5): Good - I didn’t like that it was people property and they were renting out a room.
- Robin (6/5): Pleasant - Hosts were extremely friendly, very obliging & helpful with an unplanned very late check in. The Entrance to the property was confusing. Street Number could be more prominently displayed. Admittedly we arrived in the dark & had trouble locating property. Just a suggestion - but there needed to be extra / spare pillows.
- Robert (8/5): Nice and quiet and safe - The location was perfect for a wedding nearby, and close to a friendly cafe
- Kyrkou (6/5): Convenient for my situation i.e. it was available near where I needed to be. - Convenient There was used, dry soap left for use. Old shampoo containers and generally bathroom not freshly cleaned 😕
- Jovelyn (10/5): I recommend this place to stay. - Everything was in the room that I needed to prepare my own meals. Able to park off the street in driveway. The hosts have a border collie, but once it got introduced, it was a very friendly dog.
- Anne (7/5): Good - The pool. Very friendly & helpful host. Comfortable beds. Being able to do our own cooking The gates to get into the accommodation. The room was obviously under construction & being upgraded. Not having hot water at the sink to do dishes.
- Lance (7/5): Good -
- Carl (7/5): Good -
- O'neill (4/5): Very convenient location for us for our stay, you would need a car to get anywhere. - Location good for us as a friends birthday party only 3kms away. Bed hard as rock.
Still renovating the room.
Bare concrete floors, some old mats. NO top sheet only doona. OLD bathroom, shower & vanity. OLD vertical blinds throughout.
WAS their old main bedroom for house.
LOVELY lady host but no idea how to present accommodation.
Should finish all renovations BEFORE renting this out.
- Helga (9/5): Superb - The accommodation was arranged for a friend as a surprise, and based on the feedback, I can confirm that the host is very accommodating. They have responded to a last-minute booking without any issues , the accommodation was comfortable.
