• marine (10/5): Melhor hostel que já fui! - É um dos hostels mais lindos que já vi na minha vida! A vista é incrível e o dono, o Bruno, é maravilhoso. Tudo é feito para você aproveitar ao máximo a ilha, com muitas dicas e contatos úteis. Até o café da manhã é sensacional, com tapioca feita na hora especialmente para você. Quando eu voltar à ilha, com certeza ficarei lá de novo. Além do ambiente tranquilo, relaxante, aconchegante e lindíssimo, os quartos são novos e super limpos! Recomendo demais e agradeço mais uma vez ao Bruno por ter tornado a nossa experiência uma viagem inesquecível! O único ponto que poderia ser melhorado são as camas, que são um pouco duras, mas como é um hostel, não priorizamos apenas o luxo, e o aconchego deste lugar superou qualquer detalhe. Além do ambiente tranquilo, relaxante e lindíssimo, os quartos são novos e super limpos!

• VINAY (10/5): Tranquil, - Delicious breakfast, lovely hosts. An amazing view of both the jungle and the beach. The dorm room was air-conditioned: during a power cut, there was no proper ventilation due to lavk of windows. The power cut was addressed by the hosts but it was very uncomfortable. They were gracious to offer us a refund for the night.

A vista é muito muito linda, o lugar é limpo e o host Bruno é muito simpático :) Tudo funciona perfeitamente! Além disso tudo a energia do lugar da vontade de nunca mais ir embora O único ponto a se observar é a localização, que fica na estrada principal para o centrinho de morere, uns 5 min andando em uma estrada de barro ou pode chamar o quadricipulo que eles vem na porta. Nada que atrapalhe a experiência maravilhosa.

Hostel limpo, com poucas camas, sendo assim bem intimista e aconchegante pra quem busca uns dias de respiro e descanso. O unico ponto é a ladeira pra ir para as praias, pra descer tudo bem, mas na hora de voltar, se você tem algum problema de saúde como eu, que operei o joelho recentemente, fica meio complicado, mas lá embaixo tem os quadriciclos, onde você paga 20 reais e eles te deixam na porta do hostel, então problema solucionado.

• Giovanna (10/5): - Mi sono trovata molto bene in questo hostel a Morerè. Punti di forza sono il bellissimo paesaggio che si gode dalla terrazza di questo hostel situato su un' altura, la colazione superba preparata da Bruno, e la tranquillità che si respira. Le camere sono un pò piccole, ma tutto è nuovo e funzionale, pulitissimo e organizzato bene. Dal paesino di Morerè, con le sue splendide spiagge, si sale a piedi per una erta salita di sabbia, non molto comoda di notte, senza luce e con i quad che passano, però ci si abitua e diventa una piacevole passeggiata. Ci tornerei volentieri!

• Sánchez (10/5): fan de Oxe - Todo es espectacular, desde las instalaciones y la vista hasta sus anfitriones. El desayuno completo y rico (no se puede elegir, es siempre el mismo y varían las frutas, pero es muy bueno), la ubicación es cómoda, a unos minutos caminando de la playa, la zona es muy tranquila. Ideal para quienes viajamos solas, me sentí muy segura todo el tiempo. Las camas tienen cortina para mejor privacidad. Lo único incómodo es la escalera para subir a la cama de arriba de todo, pero cero grave. Volvería a ir mil veces.

The property is very remote and requires a drive through the mountains, so reaching it took real effort and anticipation. Initially, the owners were polite and welcoming. However, shortly after arrival, we noticed very large and visible political signs expressing support for Gaza displayed on the property. As Israelis who have lost family members and friends in this devastating war, or other daily ter*or attacks, this was deeply painful. Like most Israeli travelers, we come in peace. We travel to connect, rest, not to bring politics with us. Seeing such a sign made us feel marked, unwelcome, almost like outcasts. Many people outside Israel dont truly understand what daily life is like for us here. My partner and I have personally lived through real danger, including situations involving stabbing attacks, and bus explosions by Jih@dists. You truly wouldn't even understand how it's like for us here.. daily. Living with the constant fear of ter*or simply for being born Jewish is a reality we carry every day. No one should wave political signs at us without basic knowledge about this conflict. Because of this, we decided to leave the hotel after about an hour. We shared how hurt we felt, but received no apology. The owner said "I respect your decision".. and obviously no refund, which we believe would have been the right and humane response. The place itself is okay, but very remote and facilities are a bit outdated, but the view is beautiful. Sadly, the political messaging overshadowed everything. **We wouldnt recommend this hotel to Israeli travelers. Or anyone who believes that tourism should be a neutral and safe space, not a divisive one. It took me a month to decide if I want to write this review, I'm not here dor the "shaming", but I decided to warn other Israelis, and also to express again how we painful it was for us.

• Luisa (10/5): Um dos melhores hostels que já fiquei - OXE Hostel é uma delícia! Fui com uma amiga, mas recomendo também para mulheres viajando sozinhas. Fácil de chegar (fomos de quadriciclo, que para na porta). A infraestrutura é muito boa, tanto da cozinha quanto do quarto e o café da manhã é super gostoso. Sem falar no ambiente em si, cheio de arte, muito aconchegante, com ótimos espaços de convivência. A localização é ótima, apenas uma pequena caminhada até a praia - não recomendo para pessoas com mobilidade reduzida, fora isso, é bem tranquilo e a vista compensa demaaais! Ansiosa pra voltar.

O vão entre as camas do dormitório é baixo para minha altura. O fato do varal não ter cobertura, dificultou a secagem da toalha e roupas do dia a dia nos períodos de chuva.

• Katie (10/5): Amazing tranquil experience - One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at and by far the best in Brazil. Beautiful setting in the treetops. Spent a whole day relaxing in the hammock to reset. Facilities are great and very clean. Curtains, lights and PowerPoints for each bed. Delicious fresh Tapioca and fruit for breakfast. Bele and Bruno are fantastic hosts. With only 12 beds it feels homely. 10min walk to Moreré beach, or you can get a quad taxi for R20 if you don’t want to walk up the hill at the end of the day. Boipeba town is an 40min walk or R35 quad taxi ride. Island is very safe and can easily relax and explore. Extended my stay multiple times and didn’t want to leave! It was all great. To elevate further suggest extra hook in the bathroom and an undercover area outside to hang beach wear given the tropical rain. Hot water option in the mixed dorm would be appreciated for those late night showers but easily managed without. Note if you have mobility limitations or fear of heights request a bottom or middle bunk (although not able to be guaranteed) as the top bunks are very high.

O trajeto é um pouco tenso devido ao caminho estreito, sem iluminação e o grande fluxo (dependendo da época) de quadriciclos, ATVs e UTVs. Chuveiro caindo pouca água, mas acho que uma limpeza para liberar o fluxo resolveria e o uso do ar condicionado, mas isso é um problema com algumas hóspedes, que em pleno verão,+30 C, preferem dormir no calor e desligam o ar, causando desconforto.

Le lieu est un vrai paradis, avec une vue à couper le souffle. C'est un lieu où l'on se sent à la maison au bout de la première minute! • Paula (10/5): Tudo maravilhoso - A Bela e o Bruno são pessoas incríveis e sempre super disponíveis. Tivemos um problema com o chuveiro logo que chegamos e na exata mesma hora eles solucionaram com muita rapidez e tranquilidade. O café da manhã é uma delícia! Eles mesmos que preparam com tapioca bem recheada, frutas, bolo, suco e café. Ficamos no quarto de casal que é super confortável, silencioso e com uma vista linda! E o próprio hostel tem um acolhimento maravilhoso. Eu e meu companheiro somos altos e a cama ficou um pouquinho pequena, mas isso porque realmente ocupamos muito espaço, mas nada que tenha sido um problema.

• Danilo (10/5): Sensacional - O Oxe é a cara de Moreré. Um lugar lindo e aconchegante, cercado por uma natureza que cura os olhos de quem é cercado pelo concreto das cidades. O carinho de Bela e Bruno para cuidar do local e receber seus hóspedes é sentido em cada detalhe da decoração do ambiente e na alegria das conversas descompromissadas. As acomodações são confortáveis e ideais pra quem curte um dia de praia e quer um descanso à noite. Sem falar do café da manhã espetacular. • Adriana (9/5): Ótima atmosfera, perfeito para dias de descanso em Moreré. - O quarto feminino tem uma banheiro novo e grande dentro, com água quente disponível. O café da manhã é maravilhoso, feito na hora para cada hóspede, além da vista que é perfeita para ver o nascer do sol e da lua. A cozinha é muito bem equipada, então facilita para quem quer cozinhar durante a hospedagem. O hostel é imerso na natureza, o que deixa a experiência ainda melhor. Foi a melhor opção em Moreré para mim! O hostel fica a aproximadamente 10 min do centro de Moreré, e o caminho é por uma estrada de areia, com ladeira e sem iluminação. Então, principalmente de noite, a locomoção para o centro pode ser uma questão. Não acho que é um ponto ruim, eu fui e voltei sozinha para o centro de noite e foi tranquilo, mas acho importante ressaltar para quem for reservar já saber.
• VERISSIMO (10/5): Se quiser descansar e viver dias legais em morere, não tenha dúvidas que OXE é uma boa opção. O lugar tem uma vista lind - O oxe é muito bem estruturado, limpo e confortável. Honestamente, não tenho nadaaaa de negativo sobre minha estadia lá.

Una vibra tranquila, acogedora, hice muy buenas amistades, lo recomiendo al 100% El desayuno que ofrecen es una delícia! Y es un lugar idóneo para hacer amistades o para simplemente estar tranquila y descansar, lo recomiendo especialmente si eres mujer viajando sola o si eres parte de la comunidad LGBT+ Además de todo, la infraestructura está en perfectas condiciones, tiene luces para cada cama, y espacio cómodo para dejar las cosas personales. La verdad, todo me pareció excepcional! Incluso la subida desde la playa hasta el hostel me parecieron un buen panorama

Os anfitriões, Isa e Bruno, são pessoas muito queridas e cuidadosas. O quarto sempre limpo...o banheiro limpo diariamente mesmo em momentos que eu fiquei sozinha no quarto. Realmente um hostel diferenciado.

O hostel é lindo, o quarto confortável. O café da manhã é delicioso e feito com muito carinho e cuidado. O casal está sempre disposto a qualquer coisa que precisamos. Não dá vontade de ir embora! Um dia passei muito mal e fui cuidada pela Bela, super preocupada e atenciosa. Vocês são fora da curva! Muito obrigada por tudo.

• Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - This hostel is a bit removed from the town of Boipeba so I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want to be close to restaurants and nightlife. However, with that said, it is sooo peaceful here. Bela, our lovely host, was so sweet and accommodating. Oxe is close to Morere beach which is nice and close-ish to Praia do Bainema which is even nicer. The breakfast served here is delicious (cheesy tapioca with tomatoes, eggs, & onions, fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee and sweet bread). the rooms are cleaned thoroughly everyday and the beds were so comfortable - had the best sleep of my trip here. Its social in a mellow, relaxing way but if you want peace and quiet this is definitely the place. Its a bit removed from things but it was also nice to have the tranquility.

• Will (10/5): Exceptional - One of my favourite places I've stayed. It was low season so I had the dorm room to myself, and would have been a bit different if the hostel was busy- the common areas aren't huge and I had them all to myself, which was great. It's like a hostel in a treehouse, with amazing views of the surrounding valley and beach. 5 mins walk to morere beach which is a paradise-esque quiet beach. The next beach along is completely deserted and v nice. The hosts are such nice people and really make the difference. I felt very at home and that anything I needed would be (and was) catered to. For example, my onward travel was a little complex and Bella spent time making sure I knew exactly where to go and what transport to take. Much appreciated! The only thing (as discussed with the hosts) was I had to buy 500ml bottles of drinking water as there was no filtered water facility. I have no problem paying for water but it was a lot of plastic used. I know the hosts are looking into a better solution.

• Andresv (10/5): Best view from Moreré - Boipeba - It was my second time in Boipeba, I stayed for 2 nights at Oxe hostel and I just wanted to stay longer. The hostel has an amazing view, breakfast was 10/10 and the great hospitality of Bruno and Bela makes the atmosphere even better. Hostel is 10-15 mins walk from Moreré beach and close to some other paradisiac beaches like Bainema. My advice is to visit Castelhanos beach by crossing the mangroves, it is a 1 - 1.5 hrs hike from the hostel, it's totally worth it, just ask Bruno and Bela about it.
