- Richard (3/5): - Nothing Unacceptable handicap accessible bathroom, difficult get up the handicap slope, out dated rooms
- sarah (8/5): - Room was clean! Room needed dome repairs. The toliet roll holder was coming out of the wall and the bottom part if the sink was missing a large ceramic piece. The refrigerator makes a loud humming noise!
- Sharon (6/5): - Place was not very maintained
- Cooper (4/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): - Staff was friendly. The room was clean.
- George (4/5): - Phone did not work. One chair in room. Condition not good.
- Jeannie Gayle (8/5): - Not bad but plan. Great light in the room.
- John (10/5): - Quiet, clean, reconditioned
- Bruce (4/5): - The property was poorly taken care of. No hot water in room, faucets and shower heads rusty and old. Biggest issue was noise. Seems like workers are actually living there . Having BBQs in parking lot, partying and arguments between different parties. We checked out hours after checking in. I would not recommend this for families.
- Danny (10/5): - EXCELLENT value for the quality of the room!! Daily housekeeping, friendly front desk, and a smart TV in the room. It's also right off the interstate for wherever you're headed.
- Lorna (6/5): Decent - It was ok for a place to sleep and shower. You could see outside from in the room because there was a gap by the door. The room was decently clean except some kind of plastic wrapping left in the top of the shower and something spilled in the fridge. Sheets were clean but had a few holes and a couple of stains.
- Cuzick (4/5): - The beds The rough parking lot
- Darrel L (6/5): - Good clean room for the money
- Leif (4/5): -
- Courtney (10/5): Definitely worth the money! - Room is simple but nice and clean. Bed is comfy. Front desk staff is nice and friendly. I will definitely stay here again!
- James M (10/5): - No coffee and not enough seating
- Kevin (6/5): - Room condition was poor
- Garrett (5/5): -
- TODD (10/5): - It was right next to the expressway, clean and cheap.
- Musbah (8/5): -
- Olivia (2/5): - Dirty, uncomfortable beds, broken toilet seat
- Page (10/5): - Room not fancy. But what you need for a good night stay. Clean, comfortable and for the price it was definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend and go back to.
- Thomas (6/5): Find Something Else - Pulled up to the hotel, which is kinda away from anything, and immediately noticed what looked like meth heads hanging out in front of their room. The lobby looked deserted. Finally got a nice gentleman to help me get checked in. No water, no coffee, no nothing in the lobby. Got to the room, and it was like stepping back to 1975. Very outdated. Old furniture, TV got about 10 channels, paint was peeling off the walls, the toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall, the shower was dirty and had dead bugs in it (no roaches thank goodness), and the carpet in the entire room was wet. I hope it was from just being cleaned. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds ive ever seen (and i travel alot). This morning when i was packing to leave, a man was literally puking off the 2nd floor into the parking lot (one of the meth heads). I think the cleaning staff tries to do a good job, but this place needs a lot of work. Overall, i would say find something else.
- Stacy (10/5): -
- Rainer (6/5): - Room smelled very smoky even though it was a non smoking room. Beds were full sized even though I reserved queen. Carpet had many stains and seemed beat up. Dead moths were in the sink and the room in general seemed very old and run down. Service at front desk was good and quick.
- Sabrina (8/5): Very good - The room was very big and affordable There were some dirty spots around the bed frame. Looked like paint or rust that dripped onto the box spring. The walls were very bare and I could tell they were doing a lot of updates. Not a deal breaker at all though!
- Bridgett (2/5): - Nothing
- Kimberly86 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (2/5): - Very unsanitary
- Vonda (8/5): - Nice clean place
- john (8/5): - Property is good, but little furniture to sit
- Kimberley (3/5): Poorly taken care of . - The price The bathroom door knob was loose , my friend got stuck inside. The sink was backed up . The faucet in the bathtub had a steady stream of water leaking all night. The bedcovers had cigarette burn holes in them . The door to the hotel was hard to lock and had a huge gap in the door jam
- John (6/5): - The property is being remodeled and needs additional work. But, it was clean, safe, with a comfortable bed for a very reasonable price.
- AnGeLa (10/5): Clean, economical, comfortable, simple. - Room 102 clean, fresh, cool and quiet. Hot water, nice staff, no weird smells. great AC. No closet or hanging rod but we only stayed one night. The freezer in the small fridge works great! For half price of the rest, its totally worth it. No coffee machine but I carry instant and cream as we travel work often. It looks to be somewhat under renovations.
- melanie (8/5): - Great service, clean room. Bed was a little uncomfortable but doable for a night. No issues, easy to find and get back on the road, near two gas stations and within a mile a few restaurants. Friendly staff.
- Gregory (6/5): - The rooms were nice even though the outside of the bldg looked ran down. The neighbors in room 221 were loud. Fighting slamming doors and yelling. The fire alarm also went off Sunday morning I assume someone being stupid and pulled the alarm
- Terry (8/5): - This was a nice, clean, quiet place to stop over on our travels. I would stay here again.
- Nancy (6/5): - No Bedside table between beds, no coffee in room or lobby, no chair in room
- johnna (10/5): - Jacuzzi tub in room was nice and clean. Housekeeping very nice and accommodating with later checkout.
- Deborah (4/5): It had to do in a pinch but I won’t go back - Nothing Noises and it was obvious that people lived there
- Bridgett (10/5): - Na
- Glenn (4/5): - Advertised rating as a eight or above and I don't believe should even qualify as a six
- Chris (2/5): - Just bad, very bad.
- Douglas (9/5): I will stay again - The price Wi-Fi was spotty
- Andrea (2/5): - I couldn't even stay all night because of the people outside selling drugs tried selling me drugs and was arguing so bad I thought this dude killed this girl so I left shortly after checking in I will never stay there again and don't suggest anyone does
- Cheryl (6/5): Won’t recommend or come again - The front desk guy was not very competent. Office was locked when we checked out at 7 am.
- Dave (1/5): Bad -
- Chris (4/5): Substandard in Every Way-Don’t Stay Here - No microwave. No refrigerator. Dirty linen. No ironing board or iron. No place to hang up clothes. No lamp bedside. Ridiculous bright light bar for main lighting.
I paid for a particular room. The front desk guy (who also admitted to be part owner in the place) asked if I would accept another room because he was sold out. I told him sure since I am by myself. He gave me the absolute dregs. This room should never have been rented. Poor maintenance. My photos tell the tale. I called him to ask if all of his rooms were like this. He said no. Ugh. Do not stay here.
- Allen (1/5): Most things didn’t work ice machine pop machines and not willing to help at all - Snake found in room at 2am had to run from back of hotel to front in the dark heavy rain going on to get help and all I was told was go to another room and get some sleep we would handle it in morning came and no one came to help me get rest of my stuff out
- David (8/5): Almost perfect - Comfortable, Great Value for the Price. One big complaint is that the shower (at least in Room 202) was very slippery. This is a safety problem. This hotel had the hottest water I've ever felt. Water in the shower would suddenly get very hot. You'd lean forward to adjust the temperature and your feet would slide out from under you. The shower needs an anti-slip mat or decals or anti-slip coating. It's dangerous. Also, there's no place to hang clothing except for one small hook on the bathroom door. This hotel was pleasant and clean. The staff were friendly. The price was good. The slippery shower was the only real problem.
- Deborah (4/5): Needs more work - We called hotel to verify reservation and to tell them we would be late arriving. We got someone who spoke choppy English and told us she had no reservation for us. Sent us through to talk to the hotel. Very unprofessional. When checking in, not professional at all and actually belched when we were standing there. Room was cleaned ok. Dirty bar of soap on top of shower. Looked like it had been there a long time. Could see light coming in through door so didn’t feel completely safe. It was quiet at least. Bed was comfortable.
- Jamicia (10/5): My family felt welcomed & comfortable - Very clean
- Amanda (4/5): - Music from other customers played all night….people hanging around until late hours
- Angela (8/5): Have stayed a lot - now looking for new place - Check in was okay. We were moved to a different room (first room still had half finished milk and open beer in the fridge). The bed was wider than the frame (very uncomfortable). You can see that they are trying to take care of this old motel (but definitely needs a lot of work). The toilet paper dispenser literally fell out of the wall and there was a long strip of paint torn from the wall. Also, if you stay in 108, there's such a large gap between the door and the frame - i literally had to stuff a towel in the gap to keep the cold air out! There's a lot to be fixed around tge place. As a Silver tier with Hotels.com i didn't receive my free drinks (water). I usually stay here 4 times a year, because it's a halfway point for me. However, i will be looking for a new place in the vicinity, for my next travel. They even wanted to charge extra for our 1 year old child. The manager looks very unprofessional, and always disheveled. He tries, but definitely lacks professionalism. I only stay 1 night at a time, and i think that the only reason i come back here is because i know what to expect.
- Kyungsuk (9/5): satisfactory, recommend - good location, kind staff, old but well managed, clean room and comfortable bed, no smoking smell(never), good heater, clean bathroom and bathtub, look so safe. weak water pressure, old rug, no hanger for my clothes, no hairdryer, no breakfast but I fully make sense at this reasonable price
- Jazmene (8/5): Very good -
- w richard (6/5): - a little bit dirty with bugs
- BRIAN (6/5): - The motel was out in the middle of nowhere and it's location meant an extra 10 - 15 minute drive each way. The unit we were assigned had nowhere to hang our things - no closet, no hooks, nothing.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - The workers are good people and nice too
- Stacy (2/5): Very poor -
- Brandy (4/5): NEVER AGAIN!!! Only reason I stayed was my hometown was going through a natural disaster. - I liked the location. Management gave us keys to occupied rooms. Then dirty rooms. Sign said "under new Management"... they have no idea
I foresee another abandoned building in the near future.
- Sally (3/5): Wouldn’t let my dog stay there - Nothing Not safe
- Brumfield (7/5): Good -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Brittany (7/5): Decent - Pet friendly. Great price. No refrigerator in room. Shower was hard to keep water temp
- Dorene (8/5): - They don't have elevators
- Jodi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Corrinna (4/5): - Police were beating down the door at the room next to us. I was woken up twice by a woman who didn't speak English and was trying to tell me I had to leave. The owner came and told me I was late checking out (I work night shift and had just gotten off work.) I had booked the room for another night and had to argue with him to go look at my booking. I won't stay here again.
- Angela (8/5): My Go-to Stop for Travel - I enjoy staying here whenever i am travelling cross country. The staff's pleasant. The check-in is quick. The rooms are comfortable. I have stayed here multiple times throughout the past year. The location is great: right off the highway, near stores and restaurants, and near historical sites. The only issue i had this time was that someone kept setting off their car alarm ALL night (and morning). I finally just left around 4 am.
- Jodi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Love it! - Value Stay is my go-to place anytime I am traveling to/from Virginia. It's convenient, clean, cost-effective, and cozy. I have stayed several times, with no problems. I look forward to my next stay here!
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Location, Location, Location - The staff were very friendly and I love that the hotel is right off the highway.
There's a lot to see and do nearby. I went to the Fort, drove along the river and back roads. Enjoyed seeing the fall colors.
Restaurants are conveniently located nearby, along with many other businesses. I will definitely stay here again!
- John (10/5): - Outstanding!
- John (10/5): - Stunning service and privacy combined with a low cost made this the best decision I've made in my whole vacation! If I'm ever in Lexington again I will certainly be staying here!
- Stacie (10/5): - The owner at Value stay was so nice and accommodating!! This is an older hotel but has been renovated. We felt safe and loved the area. Very convenient to all the areas we were there to visit. Much better than we had anticipated for the price. The owner was even able to upgrade us to a jacuzzi suite at check in.
- Barbara (8/5): - Room is clean, bed comfortable. However it lacks available electrical outlets. Of the 3 in the room, something was plugged into all but 1. There is another outlet but was wired poorly so even though it's a GFCI it operates off a switch that also operates the light over the sink. If you stay, bring. A power strip.
- Brian (10/5): Great value for a trip - We were looking for a place to crash on a trip and this place was a great value. Good nights sleep and clean. If you are looking for amazing amenities this is not it but its nicer than most discount hotels these days so 5 stars for the category. Manager super nice and helpful. Had a minor issue he resolved in minutes so it became a big positive. Felt like the people cared.
- Ian (10/5): - Great Value, which is in their name : ) Because the price seemed too good, I almost didn't make the reservation, but once I checked in and got to my room, I couldn't have been happier. It's not a new hotel, but the upkeep is as good as any hotel I've stayed in.
- Tanya (6/5): Ok for 1 night stay - Location ok just of the highway. Bed was ok not great the pillows were terrible the toilet sett was very loose almost fell off it when you sat down.front desk staff was ok they did day to call if you needed anything. Price was ok
- Regina (10/5): - Easy check in easy check out nice clean comfortable room
- Donald (2/5): - Not what it was promised to be. Front desk not always available. Older facility. The shower from the room above leaked into our room making it impossible to utilize our bathroom in the morning. When I went to the front desk the doors were locked and there was no answer to repeated knocking. When I finally woke the manager with a phone call he offered no assistance.
- Gary (8/5): - Excellent staff service. Responded quickly to missing equipment and an accidental lock out.
- Florence (10/5): - Terrible
- Ronald (10/5): - Ample parking, even though there's no elevator the stairs were easy to climb. Room was large. The bathroom door opened towards the room so the light wasn't bad when you were sleeping. No odors and was clean. Will stay again.
