- Niclas (10/5): - The Hostel gives such a chill vibe. Everybody eats dinner together - it‘s only 200PHP and trust me - it‘s more than enough and you automatically connect to the other guests.
Feels like home.
- Tekin (10/5): - Stayed 3 nights there and it was nice to be in the nature after 3 weeks island and sea holiday in PH.The owner is kind and helpful. The family dinner was perfect and variety foods every nights. The breakfast was good enough. They sent me explanation how to get here from the port which cost only 2$.They organize multiple tours with local people.Definetly would stay here again!
- Niels (10/5): - Most amazing place ever!
- Rodrigo (10/5): - One of the best hostel in Phillipines! I love the people there, the food ITS AMAZING.
I have a beautiful moments there
- Anabelle (10/5): The best!! - Everything! It’s was absolutely perfect, the beds are comfy and there’s a net so the mosquitoes won’t bite you, the breakfast is perfect and the diner for 200 pesos is so worth it (and it’s made with love). The owners are so kind and will help you with anything. It’s close to the chocolate hills and tarsier sanctuary, I really recommend going to the Alicia Panoramic Parc even if it’s a long drive. Also the showers are really clean and the animals are lovely (especially the two orange cats if you like morning cuddles) It’s nothing bad, but just make sure you can drive a scooter because there’s nothing from a walking distance. The homestay propose a motorbike rental for 500 pesos.
- Selma (10/5): Social, authentic and amazing family dinners!! - Loved the nature and the cats and dogs running around everywhere! Location was perfect as you can have the hostel as a base to explore the island! Renee was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious! It was a little noisy at night, the dogs and the roosters! But this was expected and kinda turned into white noise after a while!

- Anni (10/5): - bohol hammock hostel is the best hostel we have ever been. it feels like home from the first moment. we rented a motorcycle in the hostel and had the best adventures in this area. every evening there was a big family dinner, with the best food we have eaten in the philippines so far. this hostel is the best place to connect with other backpackers. it‘s so cozy and the rooms are open, so you feel very connected with nature. the rooms and sanitaries were very clean. also the owner is the friendliest person ever. she’s so helpful and has a look on everyone. on our last day we found a little kitten at the waterfalls and the owner said, she could live in the garden with the other homeless animals. she bought some milk for the kitten immidiately to make sure she‘s good. we loved this place and will definitely come back. thank you for this stay <3
- Dima (10/5): - Totul
- Lucia (10/5): if i go back to bohol i would stay at hammock hostel again - very simple staying, but comfortable at the same time. amazing staff and food, everything is clean and tidy. only cold showers provided but it wasn’t a problem at all
- Aman (10/5): A place that felt like home, not just a stay - I stayed at Bohol Hammock Hostel for four nights before heading to Camiguin, and ended up coming back for three more, completely unplanned but it felt right. Renee, Juan, Erwin, and everyone there made it feel less like a hostel and more like a home.
What truly drew me back was the incredible dinners, warm, comforting, and shared like family meals. I am so grateful I found this place, tucked away from the tourist crowds yet still close to everything.
Filipino hospitality has my heart!! None at all

- Keti (10/5): - One of the best hostels I have stayed in so far, it's just like heaven on earth. I'm gonna really miss the dogs and cats ☺️
- Lucas (8/5): - The vibe is really good but you need a scooter to get anywhere which made it fun
- Gemma (10/5): - Everything was perfect, the staff, the food, the place! Would recommend 100%!!
- Majken (4/5): -
- Zoe (10/5): - Bohol Hammock Hostel is in the most stunning area and in the nature of the island! Plus, where the hostel is out of the main area it allows all the travellers socialise during family breakfast and dinners!
- Valentine (10/5): 8th to 10th of feb - Margaux and I had an amazing stay. The staff was very responsive and nice, the family dinner was just amazing, and we had such a good sleep. Thank you again for this amazing experience and Juan has been an amazing tour guide for the falls.
- Johnsson (10/5): - The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in!! The staff are soo soo friendly and welcoming and they really make you feel like home. I never wanted to leave! The cooking class with Rene was amazing and personal and it was so fun to be able to try the local food. The family dinners are also absolutely fantastic. The effort they put into making your stay and experience of Bohol the best is absolutely incredible. I felt so lucky to stay here. And thank you yiuwin for the best sunrise and tuktuk ride to the port. You are amazing. You are all amazing! Thank you so much for everything!
- Constanze (10/5): A stay immersed in nature - beautiful structure, lots of space to chill and hang out, fast wifi for working & making calls if necessary (though please spend time with others, it's a place to socialize whilst not being a party hostel), nice free breakfast, the family dinners were incredibly yummy and cheap!
The staff is super nice and helpful.
The accomodation is simple but everyone is respectful and you should be able to get a good night's sleep!
- Sarah (10/5): If in Bohol, you need to stay here! 🤗 - Such a nice little place! Felt like home far away from home. Owners were tye beat, helped with local recommendations, transportation and so much more. The dinner was the best food I had in the Philippines. 😍 nothing
- Ludivine (9/5): - Le personnel
- Nicolas (9/5): -
- Georgina (10/5): The only place to stay in the Chocolate Hills - A fantastic place to stay, the staff are great, the facilities are fab and the activities are amazing! Rene welcomed us with open arms, as she does with everyone. We particularly enjoyed the cooking class
- miguel (10/5): - La cena muy buena
- Katrina (10/5): Best hostel in the Philippines - The best hostel in the Philippines. The owners are so welcoming into their family. They do a morning sunrise hike and free breakfast 😋 the cooking class was great and I just loved the family dinners for only 200 pesos. Really brought everyone together. Great chilled social atmosphere. They have rescued many cats and dogs and really care for their animals which was so nice to see. I should have stayed longer!
- Sophia (8/5): - The staff and the social areas, especially the family dinners in the evening. A lot of cute animals. Cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Renee, the owner is awesome! The only thing I can think of is that it is quite far from restaurants etc. You basically need a scooter to feel like you can get around. part from if you join a tour of course. But other than that, all good!!
- Rıza (10/5): -
- lisa (7/5): -
- DINNAH (9/5): A very unique and relaxed setting that features Filipino way of living. Staff is definitely a huge plus. Very accommodat - Location. It’s centrally located to access all parts of Bohol tours. The vegetarian menus for dinner. Breakfast pancakes are awesome. None
- Helena (10/5): Beautiful nature hostel in Bohol - We absolutely loved our stay in Hammock Hostel and it was our favorite place in all of the Philippines. It’s a very social hostel and we made many wonderful friends. The set up is simple but clean and perfect for everyone who loves nature and animals. Rene and everyone else is amazing and so helpful. Feels like you’re part of a family. Plenty of things to do, you won’t get bored and even if you do it’s the most beautiful place to just relax. Super delicious vegetarian dinner!! We’d come back in a heartbeat.
- Monika (10/5): - very nice place to stay. Private rooms and dormitories. Clean showers and toilets. Very good dinner. Owner is animal lover and has great love-nature attitude. Bacpackers vibe.
Close to Chocolate Hills. you can use "informal" walking path for a Choclocate Hills view (best view is at sunrise). They offer morning walks for sunrise everyday, but you can walk on your own.
Close to Tarsier place, but be careful, there are 2 places on Bohol, where you can see Trasiers, and definitely you should visit Tarsier Sanctuary in Corrella. DON'T VISIT Tarsier Conservation in Bilar, as it is very unethical place and Tarsiers are kept and exhibited in very bad conditions.
- Anna (9/5): -
- Vincent Gerard (10/5): - Great experience, the sunrise hike was amazing and worth getting up early. I already stayed at this hostel 2 years ago and had to come back again this year. The staff were amazing and the food was incredible. If you’re looking for more greenery than beaches, this place is a perfect spot.
- William (10/5): Friendly spot - It was great, the staff was great, the owner was really kind and ready to help with everything she can (activities, transport for example) !
Thanks for the welcome, if we come back to Bohol, we will come here again 100%
- Abdurrhman (10/5): -
- Taís (10/5): Best hostel - The best hostel ever!
I am glad I’d booked here. I enjoyed so much that I stayed one more night because of the typhoon and I regret nothing.
We were like a family!
Renee is the best host ever. Thank you so much for everything.
Book here, you won’t regret either.
- Stephen Cidji (9/5): -
- Barbara (9/5): Wonderful place to stay - Lovely place, perfect to relax in the centre of Bohol.
It's easy to go there by public transport - the bus stops just in front of the hostel.
Delicious dinners with other travelers!
- Ana Sofia (8/5): -
- Emeline (8/5): -
- Belfer (10/5): - Super nice nature hostel, the staff were amazing super helpful and accommodating. Facility is good always super clean and the pancakes for the *included* breakfast were wow!
Highly recommend to anyone who come to Bohol

- Manuel Marco (10/5): -
- L (10/5): -
- Olivia (10/5): I still think about this hostel 2 months later - One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at!! The common areas are amazing, the dinners are some of the best food I ate in the Philippines. We did the morning sunrise hike which I highly recommend, we napped in the hammocks after! The cooking class was also a huge highlight and the handwritten recipes were such a nice touch. It is quite far from the main area so would recommend getting a scooter for the day which is super cool
- Albane (10/5): Incroyable - La nourriture était super bonne.
- Lisa (10/5): Great stay! - Had a great stay, everything is open so it feels nice to feel outside the whole time. Breakfast was good, location is perfect, staff is welcoming.
- Baptiste (10/5): Fantastic place and fantastic owner and family - Thanks Janet! - Chill area, amazing vibes, crazy diner Nothing, I would suggest you rent a scooter at the port to get there - will be easier to explore the island from there then. Otherwise bus gets there really easily too. :)
- Jip (10/5): Amazing vibe, amazing people! - Lovely people, amazing food , amazing vibe really feels like coming home! We would really recommend the cooking class! :)) Nothing
- Ed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (10/5): A must if visiting Bohol - I loved the relaxed, homely feel. Group dinners & breakfasts were absolutely amazing - thank you! Plenty of fun organised activities but also a lovely communal space to chill. Staff were amazing too! Nothing! It was great.
- Gerard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julien (9/5): Superb - Dinner is excellent!
- Zoe (10/5): Just perfect! - Everything was just perfect. I loved the place, the staff and the food. Family dinner are excellent maybe the best food tried in Philippines. Jhaneth the host was so special and made me feel at home. It’s the perfect accommodation in Bohol, very close to the main attractions on the island. I will come back for sure! Nothing
- Gerard (10/5): Exceptional - Great experience in heart of country side. Renne & Janet really look after the travellers. The food is the best I have experienced in Philippines .
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerard (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent meals, great tips on local hikes and staff very helpful
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Mason (9/5): Superb - This place is great and I really enjoyed my stay, but it is definitely not for everyone. If you look at the photos and read the description then you should know exactly what you are getting into. Cold nature shower, outdoors, no ac, etc. Staff was very kind. The included breakfast was yummy and so is the family dinner if you chose to participate. They have a small little shop with some snacks on property which is nice. The location is out of the main tourist area, but that’s one reason I really liked it. There is a bus you can take from the main town out to the hostel that is cheap and easy enough to navigate. It is great if you can ride a bike or can find someone who will drive you around, but if not, they do offer tours and tuktuk services. I stayed in both room types. Upstairs is open air, a covered deck, with mattresses on the floor. More comfortable than I expected but it was full when I was there so a little bit cramped. When I extended I moved to the room with the hanging beds. It is enclosed and has an en-suite. I thought the hanging beds were super cool and I was glad I got to try it out. The seating/common space was large. Many hammocks, chairs, hanging benches. The dinners really brought everyone together. Most people staying opted in for that which was really great. Had a nice stay and would recommend this to anyone who is remotely interested. I was on the fence about it, but I’m so glad I chose to stay here!
- Andreia (10/5): Exceptional - what to say.. take me back there please!! lovely place with a feel of sleeping out there in the nature but conformably, with an absolutely yammy coocked dinner gosh..around a big table with other travellers and a great free breakfast! they even take you on a sunrise little hike! loveeed it!!
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing staff, delicious food and I loved the swing beds! Laid back vibe and very helpful staff.
I also loved the cooking lesson!
Had an awesome time here.
- Noah (10/5): Very nice :) - A really nice and clean hostel with lovely staff who are willing to awnser all your questions and help with planning (day)trips or activities. Social hostel, but also chill. Really nice brekkie and diner, there is also a good cooking class where you learn how to make traditional dishes.
- Qi (10/5): Best place ever!🥹🥹💗💗💗 - Words can't fully express how much I love this place. Even after experiencing a scooter accident during my stay, I received exceptional care from the staff—especially from Fede and Renne, who truly felt like angels, helping me recover in no time.
The entire team here is incredible, always ready to assist with a warm heart. Everyone I met was so kind, making this the best hostel I've ever stayed in. I genuinely miss my time there.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Very social, spacious and close to nature.
- Jessica (9/5): Amazing nature hostel experience - We absolutely loved this hostel - amazing atmosphere and beautiful nature location with the dorm room open plan, lovely to hear the rain and jungle sounds at night. The ladies running the hostel are amazing - so friendly and helpful. Bike rental was easy and they offer breakfast daily which was great, and the family dinner every night was exceptional. Only problem we faced was the very long and frequent power cuts! I think this is an island wide problem so not the hostels fault but it was annoying.
- Rosie (10/5): Exceptional - A very special hostel in the heart of Bohol. Location is amazing, in the hills. Value for money is exceptional. The staff are so kind. The family dinner is 200 pesos and easily some of the best food we have had in the Philippines. It is magic to go to sleep listening to the crickets and wildlife and the rain on the roof and waking up to the chickens. Loads of chilling/social areas. Breakfast tasty. Thank you to all the staff, we hope we will be back one day
- Sarah (10/5): An peaceful oasis in the middle of the jungle. - This place is amazing ! The lifestyle here is very close to nature, without compromise on coziness and cleanliness. There are hammocks in the common area, hanging beds in one of the dorms, a deck to practice yoga or sip your drink while looking at the coconut farm, open air showers,… The staff is very friendly and super helpful. Chickens, dogs and cats move around freely. Nice breakfasts included, lemongrass tea and instant coffee available for free all day, and social vegan buffet dinners for 200 pesos. Amazing sites to explore around the island with the good quality scooters of the hostel, and Juan even teaches first-timers! The place is sort of open air, so dorms don’t get stuffy, but since there are roofs everywhere you can chill comfortably even on rainy days. Thank you Renée, Juan and the team, I’ll sure be back if come back in the area! Nothing, I extended my stay because I felt so good in this peaceful paradise.
- Ranjan (8/5): Promising - Cheap and the breakfast...
- Andreia (10/5): a piece of home abroad - this place is heaven.. feels like finding a home when you are out there travelling the world. the care of the staff, the homemade buffet dinner was amazing and brings travellers together around a table, the free pancake breakfast yammy, the nice activities proposed (including a sunrise little hike), the communal hangout areas are soo chilled and the dorm is the cutest.. sleeping with the sound of the rain or animals.. love it. nothing!
- Ashley (8/5): Wonderful! - A beautiful hostel nestled in the outdoors. The organised activities and free dinners provided for such a lovely sense of community. The staff are wonderful, the food is amazing. It’s provides for a lovely escape, at such an affordable price. I’ll definitely be back! It’s a bit of a trek from the port when you catch a ferry, a tuk tuk and a bus but the journey is cheap and worthwhile. Once at the hostel you’ll need to rent a scooter to explore the island, but it’s also definitely worthwhile.
The noises of other people in the dorms, roosters in the morning and general sounds of the Phillipines may keep you awake during the night - but it’s nothing an eyemask and headphones can’t fix!
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - Love the outdoor feel, so green and surprisingly no bug bites. Great places to chill/ do yoga. Amazing breakfast and family style dinners which are also the best value/ local meals we had in a month in the country. Good social hostel so ideal for solo travellers.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - The vibe was nice, everything was clean all the time and the food was the best we had so far!!
Thank you!!:)
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Offer (10/5): Exceptional - The swing beds are super cool, the owners and staff are super nice, and the dinner is amazing! It's probably the most chill and special hostel on the island!
- Katherine (10/5): Incredible! - Super friendly staff who organise lots of activities for guests. It’s such a cute little hostel right in the outdoors, so peaceful and relaxing. The facilities are excellent and kept very clean and there are lots of social common spaces to chill throughout the day. Family dinners were incredible and free breakfast and coffee too was a bonus! Highly recommend! Location was quite remote, not near any restaurants/atms etc. but this isn’t a problem as there’s breakfast and dinner at hostel and it’s easily accessible by bus!
