• Kaifer (10/5): Very satisfactory, would love to stay again - Very accommodating to a late evening arrival, how’s made it very easy and communication was great. The room was very clean and a very good size Not even a problem as it is very close to the centre still but a slight wiggle down a few small roads to get to it.

• Lisa-Marie (9/5): Lovely homestay - Comfy bed and a lovely family running the homestay! They were super welcoming during my stay. The bathroom was clean and the property includes a kitchen and a washing machine. The location is quite far from Mirissa‘s main street, which is fine during the day but feels uncomfortable after dark, as there are zero lights on the way, and it’s mostly narrow dirt roads. There are a lot of street dogs on the way as well, and some of them were a bit aggressive, so I’d recommend getting a PickMe/Uber. There were some ants in the bathroom.

• Sergei (10/5): Все очень понравилось, но решили остаток отдыха пробыть в Вильгаме - 7-8 минут до пляжа, свой санузел, есть небольшая территория, ручной кролик носит по своим делам туда обратно, очень забавный, есть общая кухня, холодильник, стиральная машина, всем можно пользоваться Хозяева очень милая пара, с любым вопросом можно обратиться к ним они всегда подскажут! По крыше кто-то скребет в ночное время
• Ashleigh (10/5): Best place I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka :) - Everything about it. It felt like home from the day I arrived. The hosts are generous and kind and the overall vibe is very chilled and tranquil. My room was huge, clean and with furniture to hang my clothes and sit to chill/work. The bed is very comfy and I slept amazing here as well. Silence and darkness at night. Bathroom has everything you need - water heats enough to shower comfortably and lots of space in the bathroom. There is also another little kitchenette attached to the room which helps to spread out space and store supplies for cooking. I extended my stay here because it is so amazing and great value. I can walk happily to the beach in ten minutes, through all the main restaurants and shops, and then relax at the little hideaway, cook dinner, chill in the garden and do yoga etc. Can also use a bicycle and get the most amazing Sri Lankan lunches as well. I highly recommend to stay here. :) Nothing it’s amazing.
• Michael (10/5): A quiet Oasis in a lovely beach town! - It’s a lovely quiet spot away from the main road with plenty of food spots on the way to the amazing beach. We had a lovely stay at a great price and the owner was very helpful with planning our next journey.

• Gonca (8/5): It was quite nice to stay here - It’s a clean, neat place a bit walking distance to the center and the beach. The fan works well which is important and the mosquito net is great. The garden is not as big as the pictures but nice. There was no hot water. And the owner is I guess new in this. She is not staying here so, if you come ask all your questions as you may not find her again. There are 3 rooms and only 1 of them facing towards the garden.

• Simon (9/5): Superb - Most beautiful garden I've seen in a private home in Sri Lanka. Very clean and spacious room with a bednet and ventilator. Dogs are out on the street. Walking past them felt safe but I recommend taking a Tuktuk to the place when it's already dark.

• Cristian (10/5): Excellent option near Mirissa beach - I stayed for three nights here and it was an amazing experience. The appartment has everything you need, it's big, and it has private bathroom and a kitchen (however I used the shared one). The owner is really friendly and the garden is really beautifull. I would love to come back here again! Everything was perfect!
• Stuart (10/5): A hidden gem - This is a very quiet, affordable place, a large clean bedroom and bathroom with good ventilation. A big bonus ! there is a gas stove and washing machine in the common area, so you can buy and enjoy the local tea or prepare your own meals :) The family is very kind and helpful. The location is a pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach passing all the local restaurants, shops and cafes. Its been my favourite place to stay so far in sri lanka. I booked for 4 days but stayed for 8. I would defernatly stay here again. There isn't anything I didn't like

• Auriane (10/5): Best place to stay in Mirissa - The whole appartment was amazing! Super clean and spacious. The location is also really quiet and close enough to the main road/beach by walking distance. The family there is the kindest you'll find!!! Be careful of mosquitoes at night!! Mosquito net is there, you'll need to use it properly. Overall I have nothing wrong to say, come and stay here you won't regret it!!!!

• Dmytro (10/5): Would stay there again - First, you should know that Google maps are slightly off in Mirissa. There are streets that do not exist, and some are not marked. That's why the location in Booking actually shows you one place, from which you can walk by following the signs. They are very clear and are located on each turn. The location of the "Green Bird" on Google is correct, other than the wrong streets :). I added a photo with a description. 1. We booked both rooms, the main difference is a kitchen (quite good) in one of them. The rooms are spacey, clean and convenient. The doors to the rooms are on the same internal patio the door from the host's family house exits. 2. You can eat on the patio outside of the rooms. The outside fan is really nice to cool you down (also in the shade). 3. Location is 10 minutes away from the city center with the following things next to each other: the supermarket, market stalls (fruits and vegetables in the supermarket are usually 50% more expensive than on the street shops), and a liquor shop. Just a few more minutes further is a beach. 4. The host is sweet and caring and had foreseen all our request beforehand, adjusting to the group specifics. 5. Some reviewers mentioned the night noise. It was a 5-10 minutes village-wide dog barking (you might've heard it if you were in the villages before) and an occasional wild pheasant bird shout in the morning. It wasn't bothering our group, but if you are sleeping with a hair-trigger awareness, I recommend you to bring ear plugs into Sri Lanka in general, not just Mirissa. The wilderness is very close to people's houses and is noisy sometimes.

• Raheal (10/5): Best place ever! Truely has made me fall in love with Sri Lanka - Absolutely incredible place surround by wild monkeys and peacocks 😍. The family who run the guest house are genuinely the nicest family ever! 10min stroll to the beach though a stunning jungle like setting. Loved this place so much I ended up booking another 3 nights extra. Also if you enjoy bird watching like myself take maybe 20 steps to the lake and sit there for hours watching the birds turtles in the water 😍. I’ve been to 40 countries so I’ve stayed at a lot of places. This could be my favourite ❤️. Also the rooms are massive, brand new refurbished with a fantastic bathroom. If your in Mirissa you have to stay here 😊
• Artem (10/5): Exceptional - A nice quiet homestay managed by hospitable family. There are two rooms available, kitchen and like a patio area, and nice garden. The location is a bit off Mirissa, but I was looking for a quiet place so it fits me pretty well. The room was clean and tidy. I definitely recommend this place to stay.
