• Renate (7/5): - Es hat alles funktioniert. Auf Nachfrage bekam ich einen Wasserkocher und einen Putzlappen. Das Waschbecken war mit einer schwarzen Staubschicht überzogen. Ich hab erst mal nach einem Putzlappen gefragt. Es kam eine Frau die sprizte es mit dem Toiletzenschlauch etwas aus. Der Duschvorleger wurde in diesem Jahr bestimmt noch nicht gewaschen. Alles total abgewohnt, sein Geld nicht wert. Das einzige was sauber war, war der Empfang.

• Valeria (8/5): - Convenient and quiet location, helpful and responsive reception staff. The room needs renovating; also it's noisy because it's in front of the food preparation area and near reception.
• Chiehyu (9/5): Highly recommended 大推 - The location (close to the old bus station, so we can easily access to all the world level heritage sites), the cable tv programmes variety (there are news channel in English, German and French), the shower, the bank ATM next door and a barbecue restaurant in two minutes walk named Arabic. No fixed check-in time.

• Hiranmayii (1/5): It wasn’t a good stay - Location was central and great. The hotel has potential to be great if they maintained cleanliness and had better service. The hotel severely lacked maintenance and cleanliness. While it looked great in the pictures, the reality wasn’t great. There bathroom had a moldy smell and there wasn’t any hot water. It was also leaking. Breakfast was ready late when we specifically said we had to leave early. The rooms we booked weren’t furnished with towels or water. In fact, one room had used towels still in it.

Was horrible stay All the staffs was not friendly at all.. during check in time.. was told that credit card is not allowed to use.. only will accept gpay and cash only.. if thats the situation of the hotel.. should have informed in advance regarding their payment method.. room service - each and everytimes needs to remind the front desk staffs to clean the room.. already few days.. no bedsheet was changed till we asked for..

• Nair (4/5): I don't prefer to recommend this property with my experience. - Good location close to all important sites to visit Room was full of Mosquitos. Though they have provided repellent on request, no use. No proper detergents provided.

• Sathyajith (8/5): It’s secluded location not withstanding, the hotel is quite clean,and business /tourist traveler friendly. - Hotel Royal Stay does have easy check-in and check-out formalities and offers taxi/autorickshaw services as well.The receptionists were cordial and helpful. Initially I had booked the room only for one night, but we had to extend the stay for another day and the hotel obliged with discounted online rate. The rooms have key-less smart door locks and have modular electrical switchboards / power sockets that are mobile / laptop friendly as they incorporate USB charging points as well.The Toilet is clean and has hot water. The hotel is close to the grand Brihadishwara Temple which is within walkable distance , though hiring a taxi or autorickshaw would be advisable in the sweltering summer heat. The Maratha Palace is also a few minutes’ ride from the street. There are eateries aplenty in the locality, mostly vegetarian.However it is the numerous textiles show rooms and shops that dot the streets which make it a shoppers paradise, particularly for silk enthusiasts among those on the distaff side. As we all know,a visit to Thanjavur or Kanchipuram would not be complete without a purchase of its famous silk dress materials. The only issue, if it could be called so, is the small size and congested look of the room with wooden walls which makes it non-soundproof.But I guess I cannot complain ,with the kind of price they provide the room at , especially in a big city like Thanjavur. I am left with no option but to end the review with a dismal note on the region’s notorious autorickshaw drivers who fleece you with their ‘ unfair’ irrational fares. Anyone desirous of hiring an auto must invariably do so through a taxi aggregator App like Ola if they do not want to fall prey to the predatory autowallahs here, that is.

• Shek (5/5): It needs improvement - The hotel was new and in a good location. No in-house restaurant and you need to travel to get to one. It was not clean at all. Water in the bathroom was not draining properly.

• Rahul (2/5): Total disappointment - Nothing... We have booked the one on the main road, but after we reached, we were moved half km away to their other property. The room was not at all cleaned. The sheets have stains and hairs. Floor full of dust. The light installation work was pending, and those materials were lying on the floor. The bathroom was also not properly cleaned. Towels had hairs and dirt. Totally disappointed ......

• Kritoulis (4/5): Disappointing - It had elevator and cheap laundry service Although booking application was telling that our check out is at 12:00 they told us that we have to pay more because we checked in at 7 am and we wanted to check out at 9am. The room didn’t have a window so it was smelly, they didn’t give toilet paper

The security guard looked after our bike during our stay. Great shower with plenty of hot water. The bed linen felt a little tired.

Breakfast was very tasty and you can have lunch and dinner at the same restaurant, which is incredibly convenient. It's located on the main road, which means it's close to everything (temple 15 minutes walk) It's noisy at night Also they're not very responsive on whatsapp.
• Smitha (5/5): Nothing great. Average. - 1. The hotel looks classy. 2: It has 2 branches, we by mistake went to the one which was inside the lane. 3. The hotel at the main road has a restaurant and car parking at the property. 4. Housekeeping staff comprises of 3 ladies Santha, Arthi and one more who are pleasant, helpful and so almost everything there from showing us the parking lot to carrying our luggage. . They were eager to help us out. 1: The way we were greeted on the arrival was disappointing. The human at the reception desk was yelling at the female elderly staff which was a major tick off for me. 2. The place we booked was at the main road but we lost our way and got to the second branch. 3. There is no active kitchen so no room service. at this branch. We have to take a coupon and go to the main hotel. 4. The reception desk didn’t tell us the numbers to be used. The room was not cleaned before our arrival. The men at the hotel are basically for show purposes only.
