• Ajith Nayarasseri (5/5): - The location is the biggest advantage of this hotel. It is situated on Brigade Road, one of the busiest and most vibrant areas, surrounded by pubs, restaurants, shopping centers, and all kinds of conveniences. You can easily buy anything you need nearby. However, it is located in a relatively expensive area, so I expected the hotel to offer slightly better facilities considering its location. Unfortunately, the management is not very impressive. At times, it feels like they tend to avoid interacting with guests rather than being proactive in helping them. That said, except for the reception, most of the staff—especially the housekeeping and cleaning staff—are very friendly, helpful, and willing to assist with anything you need. The hotel itself is quite old, but thanks to the hardworking housekeeping team, the rooms, bathrooms, and sanitary facilities are kept clean and well-maintained. Cleanliness was one aspect that I genuinely appreciated during my stay. Another major advantage is the location. Services like Swiggy, Zomato, Instamart, and other delivery platforms are readily available, making it extremely convenient for guests. Overall, my main reason for choosing and appreciating this hotel is its excellent location. It is a highly attractive and convenient place to stay, even though there is definitely room for improvement in management and facilities.

Ook werd de enige ochtend dat ik ontbijt haalde bij het buffet me 3x gevraagd door verschillend personeel op welke kamer ik verbleef. Ook elke keer dat ik het hotel uit liep, zonder begroeting was het meteen Room number? Zelfs opnieuw van de persoon die me al had ingecheckt..

When we arrived at the hotel, the room had twin beds as per our request but no toiletries, no bathroom towels, no blankets but only one single sheet on top to cover. since we arrived at midnight, we tried calling the staff at the reception multiple times from the room regarding the missing items but there was no response . Had to ultimately go all the way down to the reception desk to request these missing items in the room. Wasn’t worth it for the money we paid for the stay.

• Kalsang (2/5): Very poor customer service. You will lose repeat customers with this kind of service and disrespect. - Location Old, weathered furniture and bathrooms, smells in bathroom and room. Online it says breakfast Rs 100 but charged Rs 360 per person. Also staff tried to double charge for breakfast. Also charged extra for two persons even though I booked two rooms for four people. Staff insisted that booking was for two people only even though I had given all the names of four people when booking online for a king bedroom and another room with two twin beds. King bedroom even said king bed with futon but there was no futon and they charged extra for second person. Staff didn’t try to understand or accommodate anything. Waste of money.rs 10500 plus 2310 extra person charges for one night and we even checked in very late at 3am, slept for few hours and check out.
• HEM PRASAD (7/5): A well-located hotel in prime Bangalore with easy access to all major amenities at Brigade Road. - The location of the property is excellent having proper parking and accessibility to whole Brigade Road and MG road area. I booked this hotel through Booking.com with breakfast included, as clearly stated in my confirmation email. However, upon arrival, the hotel staff informed me that breakfast wasn’t included and claimed that Booking.com was offering privileges not aligned with their policy. I was initially told to contact Booking.com myself. Only after I raised the issue firmly did they consult with management and eventually honored the booking as confirmed. While the rest of the stay was fine, this miscommunication caused unnecessary stress and set a disappointing tone from the start. Better coordination between the hotel and Booking.com is clearly needed.

Very misleading pictures, the hotel has no proper access - The receptionist tried his best and the breakfast was reasonable The access to the hotel is through a dingy basement which is dark and lonely. The pictures online are misleading , the AC was not working , early morning the motor noise started. Very noisy through the night I had booked for 4 nights but stayed only 1 night n left early next morning

The hotel is surrounded by a wide range of dining options, including great restaurants, and plenty of well-known shops like Levi’s for those looking to do some shopping. The hotel itself offers excellent services, from the delicious food at the in-house restaurant to the convenient and efficient laundry service. The staff are always incredibly welcoming, friendly, and ready to assist with a smile. The housekeeping is also top-notch, keeping the room clean and comfortable throughout my stay. Overall, I always enjoy my time at The Monarch, whether it’s for the great service, the unbeatable location, or the overall comfort. It’s always a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it.
