Guest Reviews
- Guest (9/5): Elegedett, nagyon kedves volt a szemelyzet - Elhelzeykedes Nagyon nehez volt megtalalni, meg ugy is hogy irtunk a szallasadonak.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Good, steady water pressure. If you've spent time in Oaxaca, you'll know that the area has a serious water shortage and in some buildings the supply is a mere trickle, and the water will even stop running in the middle of a shower. That never happened in my two visits (four days total) at Octavio's place. Always had plenty of water flow Also, there's a cat that will come in and hang out in the room if you let it (I'm a bit of a cat person). Unobstructed views in two directions, lots of natural light (corner building, two flights up) Seemed like the water heater sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. Busy downtown corner with traffic noise, but I can tolerate that
- Lorraine (5/5): Disappointing ☹️ - Location was good, easy to walk to most things. Nube the house cat was very welcoming, we had a good Wi-Fi connection and the shower was hot. This is a room within a family home, I don’t think this is clear when booking. It is very basic, no toiletries, hairdryer, iron, facilities to make a drink, or even a shower curtain. There was a shower room next to the bedroom which was for our use only but that opened onto a landing shared by 2 other bedrooms so it didn’t feel private. It is very noisy from the street below which kept us awake most nights. There isn’t a balcony as stated, just double doors that open as wide as the plant pot sat there. Sadly it wasn’t clean, the floor was dirty and the bedding and towels had stains on them which was very off putting. There is a house cat, who we loved but it needs to be mentioned as some people don’t like cats or are allergic to them. There was no interaction with the family to help with any questions we had, it can’t be blamed on a language barrier as my daughter speaks conversational Spanish but they just kept out of the way and not once were we a asked if everything was ok. You get what you pay for and this is cheap but I just wanted to be honest with our experience as I felt the listing was misleading.
- Emmanuel (1/5): Bad -
- James (10/5): Right in the center of things - Everything was really wonderful. Octavio was very helpful regarding every single question that I ask Waka is absolutely extraordinary and I have the opportunity to travel to Ocotlan as well and would highly recommend it on market day. I was incredibly close to the Mercado and several points of interest I could walk to. It’s incredibly loud but at some point honestly it just became white noise in the background for me, but I’m from New York. Is pretty much a major thorough fair so you should know that before booking with Octavio. Personally, I could’ve stayed in the space for a month.
