• SCD1992 (10/5): Great! Loved it. Thank you Galia. - Galiaa the host met us with the keys and showed us to the apartment, offering to help with our luggage. She was lovely and helpful. Having private parking is amazing value in central Sofia as parking can be a nightmare otherwise. The apartment was beautifully presented, with a very comfortable bed, air conditioning, and nice living and kitchen areas. Very central as well. Great value for money! Nothing - the apartment met all our expectations. We would have been happy to stay longer! The only thing was we couldn't work out how to use the heated towel rail but that is a very minor and I'm sure Galia would have helped us if we asked - we just decided we didn't need it as there is aircon/heating in the unit.

Sans oublier une place de stationnement vraiment très pratique. Exactement ce qu'on souhaite pour passer quelques jours à Sofia. En plus Galia est très sympathique et dynamique. Et elle nous a bien arrangé pour une arrivée un peu plus tôt que ce qui était prévu.

• Ilgar Israfilov (9/5): - Die Wohnung liegt nahezu im Stadtzentrum. Die Metrostation sowie die Straßenbahnhaltestelle befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt sind zu Fuß erreichbar. In der Wohnung ist nahezu jede Art von Haushaltsgegenstand vorhanden. Ein Korkenzieher fehlte allerdings 😄.Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

• Ender (10/5): - Ev sahibi Galia'ya çok teşekkür ederiz bizi harika karşıladı ve çok güzel 3 gün geçirdik.Kendisi çok sıcakkanlı ve nazik birisi onu tanımaktan çok mutlu olduk.Evin ücretsiz otoparkı mevcut. Lokasyon olarak tarihi mekanlara 10 dk mesafede o nedenle arabanızı kullanmak zorunda değilsiniz.Ev gerçekten çok güzel dekore edilmiş iyi temizlenmişti,çarşaflar mis gibi kokuyordu.Evde aradığımız herşey mevcuttu. Metro çok yakın isterseniz şehri metro ile de gezebilirsiniz.Hava geceleri soğuktu ama ev yeterince iyi ısınıyor hissetmiyorsunuz.Sıcak su sıkıntısı yok.Asansör mevcut,eski gibi duruyor ama hiç problem yaşamadık.Sofya'nın en ünlü Vitoşa caddedi sadece 15 dk mesafededir.Burada restoranlar,barlar ve mağazalar mevcut. Tekrar gelirsem yine burada kalırım.Teşekkürler Galia...

• Diederik (7/5): Super locatie midden in het centrum naast de vrouwenmarkt - Host was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Locatie was helemaal top. Appartement was ruim en schoon. Badkamer heeft een probleem met schimmel. Waarschijnlijk makkelijk op te lossen maar moet wel gebeuren. De stank is te erg.

Small adjustments for perfection would involve changing the pillows to be fluffier and having a slightly longer duvet, but these really aren't enough to detract from the overall experience."

• Άννα (3/5): 30 min walk from NDK square, neighborhood we didn't like, overpowering stink from bathroom drain - Our host was very quick to respond and very very helpful in anything we asked. The negatives: 1. The main reason for us giving the lowest possible rating is because this apartment shouldn't be rentable. There was a horrid stink coming out of the bathroom drain which made us not to want to go in the bathroom at all. We left the door open all night long with the fan turned on and all the windows of the apartment open and still the stink was overpowering. The reason we stayed there and didn't leave at once was that we arrived as soon as the apartment was cleaned and at that time the bathroom smelled of the perfectly placed room fragrance. We left to get lunch and didn't return until much later. By then we were too exhausted to look for somewhere else to stay. 2. The area where the apartment is located is not reputable. That is not meaning to say that it was not safe, only that if I wasn't there with my husband but alone or with some girlfriend, I wouldn't feel as comfortable walking around the area. The whole street in front of the building is full of stores run largely by men who hang around on the street in groups of two, three or more. Although we appreciated being able to visit some of these arab stores as a couple to see their cooking supplies and the people my husband talked to were friendly and helpful, if I was a lone woman walking among all these men at night I would not feel comfortable. 3. There was a parking space in front of the entrance to the building, but because of the neighborhood's reputation we decided to put our car in a parking lot nearby for the night for approximately 10 euros. Later that night we were glad we did so, because there was a group of 10-15 men/boys in front of the building, standing outside some kind of club/union that was on the ground flour and they were playfully fighting right where our car would have been parked. 4. Many people have commented on the elevator which is antique to say the least. We didn't pay much attention to those comments, but ended up regretting it because not only was it claustrophobic and deafening, but it really didn't feel extremely safe. 5. One of the criteria for us making this reservation was that this apartment is at the city center. The only issue is that Sofia's center is pretty large. For someone who wants to be near Serdika station, this apartment is 550 meters away (7 min walk). For us, who consider the center of the city its main commercial street, Vitosha Boulevard and the city's main square was half an hour's walk from the apartment. The blame for this is on us, because we shouldn't have relied on the website and even though we made our reservation with haste, we should have checked the map for the exact position of the apartment. We walked to and from the center twice from 3pm to midnight and the health apps on our phones recorded 19.000 steps.

• Deniz (5/5): Passable - The hosts are very kind. The location is close to the city center. The floors, linens, towels etc. were clean. The apartment smelled like there has been a lot of smoking there. The host assured us it is not allowed inside, and it is probably from the restaurants downstairs - which might as well be the case. The neighborhood is “interesting”, as mentioned in a previous comment. It got a bit loud on the street sometimes during the night. Also about the noises: the walls are probably thin as we could clearly hear our neighbors, unfortunately including private activities. This made the stay uncomfortable for us.

Strong smell of cigarettes even after leaving the windows open for a few hours, so I don't really recommend it for non-smoking guests.

• George (10/5): My go-to place when visiting Sofia - I was very pleased with my stay at Sofia Pretty Apartment. - The location is ideal, very close to the open market (ideal for longer stays - while still being quiet), and at walking distance to the main historical, cultural and commercial points of interest. - The availability of true private parking just in front of the building is of huge importance. You can park as you arrive and move your luggage hussle-free (after notifying the owner for arrival time, to hand you the keys for the parking) and your car is safe and available at all times. This is especially important since, sadly, the vast majority of listings advertise parking or even "private parking" but it's parking on the public street AND time-limited, thus at risk of being towed at night, since it's the central part of Sofia. Such a huge waste of time filtering the bogus listings on Booking.com. Sofia Pretty Apartment provides what it promises. - The arrangement of the apartment is great, very convenient. - I was so impressed by the appliances and especially the Air Conditioning units. They are of very high quality (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) and most importantly, SILENT. I didn't know the units were On until I walked into the airflow (I actually noted the specific models so that I may buy the same or the most similar model for my own home). The washing machine is also great and quiet. - Hosting couple was very polite. I didn't happen to need any help during my stay but they communicated they were available for providing assistance. Nothing negative but a couple of notes - The blankets could be warmer for early spring. The AC is very efficient in heating, the apartment is also very well insulated (and when one or two people sleep there are extra covers), but a warmer set of blankets would be useful at this time of year. - Since the sitting area is heightened, perhaps the main window could be limited to open upwards or add an exterior railing for maximum safety.

• Djordje (10/5): Great value, and amazing apartment! - While this apartment doesn't have self-check-in, I wouldn't say it's a problem. On the contrary, the host greeted us, helped us with the parking and the bags, and showed us around the apartment. In general, it definitely helped us feel at home quicker. The apartment itself was excellent and we had everything we could possibly need. The building in which the apartment is located is a bit run down, including the elevator. The surrounding area, while very close to the city center, is a bit run down too. Nevertheless, neither of these detracted from our experience in the Sofia Central Pretty apartment, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

I can understand why all tourists before us were so happy here. I could no find something which make me unhappy. Everything was correct and nice.
