• Dominique (9/5): Excellent séjour ! - Le Riad est magnifique, calme, bien qu'en plein centre ville historique, avec peu de chambre ce qui permet de se sentir comme à la maison, le service en plus. Le personnel (Latifa, Sona, Ibrahim et Achraf) est d'une grande gentillesse et très attentif à nos besoins. Les petits déjeuners étaient excellents et copieux, ce qui nous permettait de commencer merveilleusement la journée en étant vraiment immergé au Maroc. Le diner pris sur place un soir est sûrement le meilleur pris pendant cette semaine. Bravo Latifa. A cela s'ajoute la terrasse et la piscine qui par ces fortes chaleurs était vraiment appréciable Rien

• Annette (10/5): Super nett, tolle Lage, sehr empfehlenswert - Das Riad liegt sehr gut und zentral in der Medina. Sana und Ibra sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber und haben uns bei Ankunft eine tolle Einführung über die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt gegeben. Auch Restaurant Reservierungen haben sie gerne für uns gemacht. Da es insgesamt nur vier Zimmer gibt, fühlt man sich sehr schnell wie daheim :-). Die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Zimmer individuell und gemütlich und das Frühstück excellent. Jeden Morgen sind wir mit anderen hausgemachten Köstlichkeiten verwöhnt worden. Es ist abwechslungsreich und qualitativ top. Da fällt uns nichts ein.

• Juratsch (8/5): Wunderschönes Riad mit großen Zimmern, welches mir vergleichsweise aber etwas überdurchschnittlich teuer scheint. - Wunderschön gestaltetes Riad mit einem idyllischen Innenhof und schönen, sehr geräumigen Zimmern, in denen bishin zur Deko alles stimmt. Sehr nettes Personal. Das Frühstück hielt leider nicht wirklich, was es versprach. Laut booking.com wäre es „außergewöhnlich“, blieb aber hinsichtlich der Auswahl und Menge hinter meinen Erwartungen zurück. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass während meines Aufenthalts Ramadan war.

Il riad è molto autentico, preserva le decorazioni e gli infissi originali. È un angolo di pace ove ritirarsi dal caos che governa le strade della Medina. Silenzioso e pulito, con camere bellissime e accoglienti. Lo staff è giovane, preparato, cordiale e pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta. La colazione è molto buona, tipica, con prodotti freschi e di elevata qualità. Suggeriamo, solo al fine di migliorare e tendere all’eccellenza, di rivisitare il sistema di condizionamento della stanza e il miscelatore dell’acqua. Essendo ancora freddo di notte la stanza, anche per ovvi motivi collegati all’assenza di isolamento dovuta alla architettura tipica, non si scaldava facilmente. È stato difficile inoltre regolare la temperatura delle doccia, sempre troppo calda o troppo fredda. In ogni caso, questi aspetti non hanno compromesso minimamente la qualità del soggiorno che è stata e rimane eccellente nei nostri ricordi.

Siamo rimasti incantati dalla bellezza della struttura, curata nei minimi particolari e pulita; pur essendo in una posizione centralissima è molto silenziosa, ideale per soggiorni di relax. La gentilezza e disponibilità del personale hanno reso perfetto il soggiorno. La colazione ha superato le nostre aspettative, ogni giorno diversa e tutto fatto in casa. La struttura ha anche un bellissimo terrazzo sul tetto per godersi il tramonto con un buon the. Che dire, bravissimi! Torneremo sicuramente!

• Gualtiero (9/5): - Siamo nel cuore della Medina (vicino alla stazione dei taxi) ma in una via appartata, il Riad è un’oasi di accoglienza tenuta con cura e passione, la colazione è semplice ma fatta con amore. Niente se non i tovaglioli di carta sottilissima a colazione. Il freddo imprevisto ci ha fatto trovare la nostra camera gelida all’arrivo ma é bastato accendere il condizionatore a 30 gradi per risolvere, anche la colazione all’aperto è stata risolta accendendo i funghi. Non è colpa loro ma i dintorni tra cantiere abbandonato e rifiuti lasciati alla mercé dei gatti non sono un bel vedere.

Ibra made us feel so welcome when we arrived and took so much time and care to make sure we were settled in. Our room was beautiful and really quiet - we really couldn’t hear a lot of outside noise. Breakfast was lovely, so much food to set us up for the day. On our last morning we had to leave really early and the staff went out of their way to make sure we left fed. If I’m ever back in Marrakech I will absolutely stay here.
• Giorgio (8/5): Unbelivable experience ... a special hotel in a special old city - Thjis place is INSIDE the old city (really inside!), you have to reach it by foot (taxi stop 200 meter away and you have to walk INSIDE the suk). Place inside is amazing! you would not guess it from outside. Staff super kind. From a feedback of other hosts (super nice Irish people) this Riad is one of the most spacious despite the only 4 rooms available!!! ps. KUI-ZIN restaurance suggested by staff was super. A suggestion: put a banner or an indication for better finding the entrance door :))).

• Francesco (10/5): Riad piccolo e accogliente - Il riad é carino e ben tenuto. Il personale disponibile e sorridente. Ci sono solo 4 stanze. Si trova appena dentro il souk e pochi metri dai taxi. Nella stradina dove è ubicato l'ingresso del Riad c'era un cantiere da dove provenivano cattivi odori. Ma naturalmente non è una colpa.
• Cathy (10/5): I loved staying here and would come back without any hesitation. It was a great experience! - The breakfast was beautiful every morning. I really enjoyed this little moment daily. The location was also very convenient. It was only a 2 minute walk from the taxi drop off which made finding the riad easy and I didn’t have to carry my suitcase through the Medina for too long. This was something I was a bit hesitant about as I had seen previous videos from other travellers staying at different riads in the Medina and having to walk through so many dark paths. I didn’t have this problem at all at Riad Afous. I also felt safe as a solo traveller exploring and walking at night thanks to the location. I’d highly recommend Riad Afous to anyone travelling to Marrakech and wanting to stay in the Medina. The staff were lovely and attentive. They helped me with my suitcase up and down the stairs and were able to provide great recommendations. The rooms were also very cosy, clean and quiet. I can’t fault anything I had a really comfortable stay.

Staff is very kind and helpful, particularly Asaref. Local breakfast is yummy. Size of the room is massive. Alley outside of the building is not so nice and a bit dirty, but this is no fault of the riad of course and also quite normal in Marrakesh

The Riad is just a little palace. This the perfect location to explore Marrakesh: In the Medina, on a 5 min walk from the taxis to all places around Marrakesh. Nothing at all.

• Michael (10/5): Beautiful riad with fantastic people - Beautiful riad in a great location with incredible people running it! Everyone we met, from Ibra to Saana to Achraf, were so welcoming and helpful. They really made Riad Afous feel like home during our stay - and helped with many recommendations (without pushing us to choose a specific place). The riad has been restored elegantly with a lot of original touches. The doors, windows and the stucco work are spectacular - especially in the main courtyard, which is so peaceful and hidden away from the hubbub of the street. The rooftop (including the pool) is nicely done. I wish I had the time to use it more. Our room was huge and classically designed, but with nice modern touches. The bathroom is wild with bright blue and yellow tiles and a bath you step down into (it was also nicely kitted out with great lights and also soaps and stuff). One final note about the breakfast... It was delicious, with cakes and breads and eggs and general yumminess! Nothing. Don't get put off by the alleyway you have to walk down to get there! (Note it was round the corner from where Google Maps said it was - but I'm trying to change that!)
• Neil (10/5): Exceptional stay in a beautiful Riad , an Oasis of calm ,ran by wonderful people - This place is very special , an oasis of calm perfectly placed to walk everywhere.The Riad has the most beautiful original features ,tiles and courtyard.The rooms are very tasteful ,with so much space and very comfy beds. It was great to go up to the roof terrace and use the pool to cool down after sightseeing. The breakfast is delicious .But the best thing was the incredible staff they made our stay so special, they were so hospitable and really made sure we had an exceptional time. Thank you to you all ,some names escape me but you were great.An extra big thank you to Ibra, Ashraf, and especially Sana,who could not do enough to make our stay perfect.We had dinner in the Riad one evening , it was delicious and Sena had made the table beautiful and just made the whole evening extra special .Thank you so much for such a wonderful memorable trip, everything about our stay exceeded our expectations thanks to such attention to detail and care from you all. The staff are wonderful, Ibra spent so much time with us when we first arrived and explained where to go or not to go. Sana is the main beautiful person and went out of her way to look after us. Es un Riad de solo 4 habitaciones que hace que parece que estés solo en un palacete. Las habitaciones son amplias y súper equipadas con todo tipo de detalles. Tiene una piscina y zonas de descanso en la azotea que hacen que no quieras salir del Riad. Lo recomiendo muchísimo.

Das gesamte Team war immer herzlich, zuvorkommend und jederzeit erreichbar. Das Riad bietet Ruhe und Geborgenheit- der Pool zur Abkühlung macht das Ganze perfekt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Gli ambienti sono pulitissimi, si percepisce l’attenzione e la cura quotidiana. Un ringraziamento a tutto lo staff che è sempre sorridente, disponibile e gentile. • Chia Yuan (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful riad! The location is perfect—right in the heart of the old town, making it super easy to explore everything on foot. The riad itself is stunning, with beautiful decor throughout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the rooftop terrace is a lovely spot to relax. The swimming pool was a real highlight, especially with the 43°C heat—it was such a refreshing escape! The team here is incredibly friendly and welcoming—we truly felt at home. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious, with so much variety and flavour. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Marrakesh!

I thank Ibrahim, Ashraf, Ghita and all the st - The riad is located in the Medina but is easily accessible without getting lost. The structure is beautiful, attention to detail, clean, the food varied, healthy, tasty and breakfast in the courtyard with birdsong is like staying in a fairy tale. The staff is the heart of the riad, welcoming people, attentive to your every need, rare kindness, I could not ask for better! I liked it all

• Rayén (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, you have everything you need within a few meters of the Riad. Very quiet so you can sleep well. Beautiful decorations and wall art. Ibra, Saana and Rita do their upmost to make your stay special they went above and beyond. Will definitely be staying here again if I come back to Marrakesh!
• Nancy (9/5): A great riad experience - Loved the breakfast--I would get fat if I stayed too long. It was very generous and a little different everyday. The building was beautiful, I could spend hours looking at everything. The staff were extremely attentive--if you prefer less attention, you should probably very kindly let them know. Especially if you are traveling alone. After arriving in Marrakech, I read on a local website that it is important to tip riad staff because they earn very little. I actually didn't mind tipping--everyone was so friendly and helpful. But when you add in 10-15% of the total stay for a tip covering all the staff (as the website recommended), it significantly increases the price of the room. If I had know this ahead of time, as beautiful as Riad Afous is, it honestly may have affected my decision to stay there.
• Alex (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed our stay at the Riad. Ibra and his staff were extremely helpful and friendly and left no stone unturned to make our stay as pleasant as possible. A special thanks to Sana and to the cook who provided us every morning with a lovely breakfast and a great dinner one evening. Would certainly recommend this to anyone and would come back were we visiting Marrakech again in the future.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcome. Breakfast was served every day, and we even enjoyed some tea in their terrace. Location was great! Would definitely come back. • Tracey (10/5): A bit of luxury and super friendly staff! - We stayed at Riad Afous after trekking in the Atlas Mountains, it was a little tricky to find as google maps seems to put it on the other side of the street but the team were so attentive and sent maps and offered to meet us to ensure we found it easily… it wasn’t required in the end, the instructions were perfect! The room was very luxurious and well equipped, everything was so clean and fresh. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to relax in the pool but there were gowns, towel and slippers provided for this. Breakfast was delicious and they even made it a little earlier for us as they knew we were leaving for a morning flight! I was so impressed by the hospitality, I would definitely stay again.

From the very begging, they were very attentive to all our needs, including pick up and transfer, meeting us in the square near by (which is very convenient for pick up/drop off), making sure we had information and were well fed! The location is perfect, it’s a great place to start any day from. The rooftop view is gorgeous and serene. The staff were all excellent, and went above and beyond. At all times, we felt very safe and like we had a quiet, beautiful home away from the occasional chaos of the Medina. Thank you!

The riad itself is located very close to the Medina, which is very convenient, especially for first time travellers. We absolutely loved the breakfast and the atmosphere as a whole. A small detail but the shower in the room can definitely be improved. Otherwise all else was great.
• Clare (10/5): Book it! - Riad Afous is in a great position for anyone wanting to stay central - all the main sights and the souks are close by. The Riad itself is a real oasis in the centre of a crazy, chaotic city. Our room was so tranquil with a really comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. . Breakfast was amazing and served in the beautiful courtyard. The staff are the stars here though. Ibra, Sana and all the others whose names we didn't get were friendly, kind and the epitome of hospitable. The airport transfer was a bonus and would definitely recommend as it made inward and outward travel so much easier. Not a dislike but the shower in our room was in a sunken bath. Possibly not suitable for someone with mobility issues.

• Helen (10/5): A lovely stay in a beautiful riad with wonderful staff. Exceeded our expectations - This was our first time in Marrakech and Riad Afous exceeded our expectations. The location is superb, within the medina, but on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle yet within easy walking distance to many sites eg 15 min walk to Jmaa El Fna, 10 mins to Ben Youssef Madrasa, 20 mins to the beautiful Majorelle Jardins, 3 mins walk to the pick-up point for day trips. The room was huge with an exceptionally comfortable bed and shuttered windows, making for a very peaceful sleep. Breakfast was amazing, multiple courses of pastries, pancakes, eggs, yoghurt and coffee, all served with a smile by the fountain in the beautiful tiled courtyard.
• G (9/5): Superb - Wow, what an absolutely stunning riad! My wife and I stayed in a ‘Superior Double Room’, and we truly felt like royalty. The breakfast was divine, and both Senna and Ibra were the perfect hosts, making us feel completely at home throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

A really good breakfast, served with a smile every morning by Sana. Comfortable room with good heating, necessary in the chilly mornings and evenings. All the staff were excellent. Ibra was exceptionally friendly, informative and helpful. The night porter, the chambermaid and the lady in the kitchen were all charming. It was very cold eating breakfast in the courtyard. The showers in the deluxe room could be improved.

From making sure our airport transfer ran smoothly, greeting us and explaining, over mint tea & treats, all about Riad Afous including the magical roof terrace, to providing advice on getting the best out of Marrakesh, then organising help, plus tea& coffee with packed breakfast, for our very early morning departure. Ibra even followed up afterwards to check everything had worked out. Special mention for Achraf for helping with our early morning departure. Riad Afous Highlights include fantastic location in central Medina, an unexpectedly calm peaceful oasis , stunning views of night sky from roof terrace, amazingly comfy bed & pillows, but most of all wonderful friendly helpful staff, led by Ibra. Many thanks for making our first impressions of Marrakesh & Morocco so perfect. Loved everything 👍🏻
