Da wir nur wenig Zeit in der Stadt hatten, hat uns unser Gastgeber für einen guten Preis zu allen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten geführt Zimmer gut eingerichtet und schöner Essplatz auf der Terrasse direkt vor dem Zimmer. • Notaert Denooz (10/5): - Nous avons adoré la famille qui nous a accueillis. D'une gentillesse sans limite, beaucoup d'échanges et de partage. Mahindé nous a ensuite accompagnés dans différents lieux, nous a également accompagnés dans certaines visites avec explications quand il était disponible et par la suite nous a emmené jusqu'à Kandy. Les repas étaient délicieux et la chambre très confortable. Rien, tout était très bien.

I proprietari sono persone squisite, estremamente gentili e sempre disponibili. La prima sera il marito ci ha accompagnato in un ristorante della zona, eccellente sia per la qualità che per il rapporto qualità - prezzo, e dopo cena ci ha offerto anche un piacevole tour notturno.

• Manuel (10/5): Guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Tempel und Natur am Stadtrand. - Mahinde und seine Frau waren sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wäsche wurde gewaschen, Mahinde gab viele Tipps zu Ausflugszielen und fuhr uns an einige davon. Es gab Eis und Obst als Geschenke für die Kinder unterwegs. Die Lage war schön ruhig und nahe an Reisfeldern. Ein Ausflug nach Mihintale ist ein Muss! Estuti Nix

Non mi sentivo molto bene quando sono arrivata e non avevo molta fame, mi hanno prestato un termometro e quando hanno saputo che adoro il mango me li hanno fatti trovare a colazione, grazie di cuore a questa bellissima famiglia. La posizione è tranquilla e per accedere ai vari siti ti puoi fare aiutare da loro nell' organizzazione! Tutto ok!!

• Joel (10/5): Un petit coin de paradis - Ici vous pouvez dormir avec le chant des oiseaux, vous réveiller et ouvrir la porte à côté d'un manguier et d'un bananier. La chambre et les exterieurs étaient très propres, et nous avons été très bien accueilli par nos hôtes. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et nous avons dîner également un soir, et loué des vélos pour visiter les temples. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de notre passage ici. Nous avons été upgradé sur la chambre avec AC, l'hôte ayant pensé que ce serait plus confortable pour nous compte tenu des hautes températures (+35°). Superbes petit- déjeuners fait maison. La chambre familiale est spartiate mais fonctionnelle. Il manque un brin de confort pour profiter des extérieurs.
• Sterre (10/5): Heel erg naar ons zin gehad! - Lieve vrouw, kan niet heel goed engels maar probeert wel heel erg mee te denken. Bij het uitchecken konden we onze backpacks daar laten staan om nog even de stad in te gaan. Overigens is het ontbijt ontzettend lekker!

Elle avait organisé pour nous une après midi avec un guide parlant français pour visiter la cité religieuse d’Anuradhapura, une expérience unique. Sa cuisine etait délicieuse. Il y a un extérieur qui permet de manger dehors ce qui est très appréciable. Le rapport qualité prix est imbattable. La chambre est très simple, les lits un peu durs et la salle de bain un peu « spartiate ».

• Martin (10/5): Liebevolle familiäre Unterkunft - Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei unserm Gastgeber und seiner Familie. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von ihnen empfangen und sie waren als Gastgeber immer sehr bemüht, dass es uns an nichts fehlt und wir uns bei ihnen wohl fühlen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und mehr als genug für uns. Das Zimmer und Badezimmer waren sehr sauber und von der Ausstattung war alles Wichtige vorhanden. Unser Gastgeber hat uns abends zum buddhistischen Poson-Fest in Mihintale mitgenommen und hat uns alles gezeigt. Auch am nächsten Tag hat er sich viel Zeit für uns genommen und hat uns alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Anuradhapura persönlich gezeigt. Wir freuen uns, dass wir bei einer so netten Familie Gäste sein durften. Wir würden es sofort wieder buchen!

Sidhangana Home Stay was one of the best stays we've had during our trip around Sri Lanka. The room was super clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. What really made the difference were the hosts. Mahinda and Preba were so kind and thoughtful, always checking in on us and doing little things to help that they didn’t have to do. We really appreciated everything and would definitely stay here again!!! Everything was great :)

Het is fantastisch dat Manhinde ons uit Negombo heeft opgehaald en vervolgens de stad in de namiddag en avond heeft laten zien. Na een heerlijk diner (aanrader) van zijn vrouw, een goede nachtrust en een compleet ontbijt zijn we met Manhinde naar Mihintale geweest, waarna hij ons naar de volgende locatie heeft gebracht. Een perfecte, relaxe start van onze vakantie! Alles beviel goed!

• Sarah (10/5): Wonderful owners, spacious beds, and tasty breakfast - We had a great stay! The beds were very large and comfortable. Everything was super clean. The owners were incredibly friendly and gave us great tips for trips and insights into their daily life. The breakfast was delicious every morning. We were even allowed to leave our luggage in the room after check-out since no new guests were arriving — very thoughtful. Highly recommended!

Mahinde and Pabra welcomed us into their home as if we were family. Mahide showed us around the city with his care and Pabra cooked us the best Sri Lankan dinner we had on our trip so far. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was delicious!

They took us to all the top sites for 2 days in a nice air-conditioned car for a very reasonable rate. Gave us delicious home cooked meals and welcomed us into their family. • David (9/5): Friendly hosts and good food. - Mahinda took us on a very enjoyable visit to Mihintale, which is a beautiful place. Prabha cooked us nice breakfast and dinner, and was very friendly and chatty. The home stay is an easy tuk-tuk ride to all the historical sights. There are three guest rooms and you can hear what is going on in the others - our neighbours went out at 5am one day and even earlier the next!

• Ray (10/5): Sidhangana Home Stay was so good we returned for a second stay. - This was our second visit to Sidhangana Home Stay. We enjoyed our first visit so much we decided to stay again to break the long journey from Jaffna to Kandy. The family who run the guesthouse are wonderful people and exceptional cooks. Again, they were very kind to our driver Jim. We would have loved to stay for longer if our itinerary allowed. Just wandering around the local lanes was a delight in itself. Highly recommended and thank you. Everything was very good.

The husband was kind enough to give us a tour, which led us to Mihintale, one of the most breathtaking places we visited. This unexpected experience made our stay truly special. On top of that, our friend was very ill during our stay, but the host took amazing care of her, going above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. Their kindness and hospitality were truly heartwarming. The breakfast was outstanding—delicious, fresh, and the perfect start to the day. The rooms are simple but comfortable enough for a short stay, making this homestay a great choice. • Ward (9/5): Top verblijf om het oude Anuradaphura te ontdekken - Zeer vriendelijke eigenaars van de home stay! Ze regelen alles van verblijf tot activiteiten! Het eten in de homestay is ook heel lekker tegen een goede prijs! Het verblijf ligt iets verder weg van het centrum maar de eigenaars helpen je goed om tot de lokale cultuur te raken. De badkamer is wat onhandig met de toilet naast de douche maar dit is maar een kleinigheid.

They rent us 2 bycicles at very reasonable price to explore the sacred area. Moreover, Mahinde drove us to Mihintale and introduced us to the history of place. The room was clean and breakfast delicios. I would like to recomand this homestay to those who love nature and stare experience with local people. Everything was perfect.

• THIERRY (9/5): Adresse à ne pas louper avec d'excellents plats typiques maison - Très bien situé pour visiter les alentours, chambre confortable et bonne literie. Les propriétaires sont au petit soin, excessivement gentils et dévoués. Le plus : la qualité et la diversité des excellents plats, la table était remplie de plats différents et certains légumes de son jardin. Le matin nous ne mangeons pas salé, donc elle nous préparait des crêpes fourrées à la coco, des pancakes avec confiture... Allez y les yeux fermés, ils sont adorables :) Rien tout était formidable. Mais ATTENTION cela n'a rien avoir avec les hôtes et leur maison, mais la pompe à essence "IOC Filling Station Nanayakkara" à côté, faites très attention, ce sont des voleurs. Soyez très vigilants sur le montant affiché à la fin du plein, car ils remettent excessivement rapidement la pompe à zéro et vous facturent bien plus cher, ayant payé par CB ils ont été obligés de nous rembourser en espèces de la différence !!!

Grazie ancora L'unica pecca potrebbe essere l'assenza di acqua calda, ma ad un prezzo del genere va bene così!

Mahinte uncle is very respectful and was very kind to drop us till the station in his car in the morning. His wife Prabha made delicious breakfast for us. The rooms were basic and clean. Value for money. The room needs more light. The mosquito net had holes and the bathroom leaked water from behind the bulb when it rained heavily.

Für den Preis unschlagbar - leckeres Essen abends (Traditionelles Rice and Curry) und tolles Frühstück morgens. Die Zimmer sind recht einfach und auch ohne warmes Wasser, aber es ist wirklich total ausreichend. Preis-Leistung überragend! Nochmal ein super Kompliment an die Gastgeber, die einen in jeder Frage zur Hand gegangen ist! Der Mann hat uns sogar bis zum nächsten AC-Bus gebracht, seinen Freunden vorgestellt und dafür gesorgt, dass wir wirklich nur einheimische Preise bezahlen (450 Rupien pro Person bis Damulla).

They changed our room to a better one, with air conditioning and did not want to pay extra for it. The house is located a bit out of the way, which has its advantages, it is quiet and peaceful. The room and bathroom are very clean. Praba prepared delicious breakfasts for us, asking in advance what we wanted to eat. The owner suggested that we use his services as a guide around the area. We drove with him in his car and visited all the interesting places. I highly recommend this place.

• Romann (10/5): - Nos hôtes ont été très accueillants pendant toute la durée de notre séjour à Anuradhapura. Nous avons été surclassés pour bénéficier d’une chambre avec climatisation et lits plus confortables, sans nous demander, ce qui a été très appréciable! Les petits déjeuners et dîners étaient délicieux, les hôtes s’adaptent bien aux goûts de chacun et ont des petites attentions particulières pour nos repas. L’hôte nous a également proposé ses services, à un prix raisonnable, pour visiter Mihintale et la cité sacrée d’Anuradhapura (transport en voiture et accompagnement sur place avec explications). Il nous a également accompagné à la gare d’Anuradhapura le matin de notre départ. Nous avons adoré nos deux nuits ici. Une mention spéciale à nos hôtes adorables, serviables, attentionnés et attachants. Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement.
• Bart (9/5): Top! - Samen met onze 2 kinderen reisden we een maand door Sri Lanka. Dit verblijf was prijskwaliteit de beste plek waar we verbleven! De mensen waren ongelofelijk vriendelijk, oprecht geïnteresseerd en behulpzaam. Onze zoon heeft geschaakt met de dochter des huizes, Praba kookt ongelofelijk lekker; zowel het ontbijt als het diner waren super lekker en echt niet duur. Haar man gidste ons door de Heilige Stad; een onvergetelijke dag. Wij kunnen dit verblijf van harte aanbevelen!
• Sandra (10/5): Ein Homestay mit Herz ❤️ - Die Menschen in Sri Lanka sind für ihre Gastfreundschaft bekannt, aber Mahinde und seine Frau haben uns nicht nur wie Gäste, sondern wie Freunde empfangen! Mahinde hat sich um unseren Transport von Sigiriya gekümmert und war persönlich dabei. Auch hat er einen Arzttermin für unsere Tochter organisiert, zu dem er uns gefahren hat und bei dem er, wie auch beim Anschlusstermin dabei war, wofür er sich sogar einen halben Tag frei nehmen musste. So ein Bemühen und Kümmern ist außergewöhnlich und wir sind sehr dankbar dafür🙏 Seine Frau hat sehr lecker für uns gekocht, sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen war üppig und für uns 6 Personen mehr als genug! Auch sie war stets um unser Wohl bemüht und war immer am Strahlen🤩 Sie lud uns in ihre Küche ein, um uns ihre Art des Kochens und die Gewürze zu zeigen. Die Zimmer und die Badezimmer waren sehr sauber, die Betten richtig bequem und der Innenhof schön gemütlich. Auch für unsere Fahrten in Anuradhapura und nach Mihintale hat Mahinde gesorgt und seinen ebenfalls sehr netten Freund darum gebeten, der uns auch zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft nach Nilaveli gefahren hat. So rundum von Mahinde und seiner Frau versorgt zu werden war erstaunlich! Entsprechend rührend und traurig ist der Abschied gewesen🥹 Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hierher kommen und können Sidhangana Homestay absolut jedem empfehlen, der Anuradhapura besucht!👍🏼❤️

• sylvain (10/5): - L'hote et sa famille sont tout simplement géniaux.. nous avons partagé des moments de cuisine. Ils nous ont expliqué des coutumes vestimentaires. Nous avons bien mangé tout était préparé sur place et ça sortait de l'ordinaire. La chambre familiale est tout à fait correcte spacieuse et la salle de bain grande. La terrasse est un plus et elle est à la disposition des hotes. Un super moment Rien
• Le Gludic (10/5): Adorable famille et chambre très propre - Prabha et son mari sont des hôtes adorables et très accueillants. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le calme de leur maison. La chambre et la salle de bain sont très propres et agréables. C'est bien placé pour visité les sites aux alentours. Nous y avons pris nos 2 dîners et Prabha est une bonne cuisinière qui a adapté les plats à nos 2 jeunes enfants. On s'est senti bien chez eux et avons pu passer l'après-midi après la visite dans leur jardin, à jouer et se reposer. On est aussi aller faire un petit tour dans les champs environnants avec Prabha ce qui est très agréable. On vous recommande vraiment de sejourner chez cette jolie et gentille famille! Rien, très bon rapport qualité prix avec en plus le bonheur de partager un peu le quotidien d'une famille!
