- Lisa (9/5): Unique resort - beautiful location - very safe and friendly - This is a unique and beautiful property that provides views of the black sand beaches of El Salvador. Access to the pool and beach required schlepping through the restaurant and around tables where people are eating.
- Monica (3/5): I had a truly disappointing experience at Misata in Salvador. We paid a high price for one night, expecting a nice, priv - I had a truly disappointing experience at Misata in Salvador. We paid a high price for one night, expecting a nice, private room in the resort. Instead, we were placed in a large room across the street with five beds. It looked nothing like the pictures, and on top of that, we were never refunded the reservation cost. The whole experience was overrated, overpriced, and I would not recommend it at all.
- Kathryn (9/5): Lovely secluded beach getaway. - Great views and vibes. Appreciate the amenities offered. Not all of the rooms are seaside so in order to stay in a room with more than 2 people, you are offsite and it loses the essence of the property.
- Liliana (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Kathy (9/5): An absolutely magical place. There are so many things we loved. - An absolutely magical place. There are so many things we loved, but the sunset yoga with Leila was our absolute favorite. It’s actually worth the effort and money! The music was too loud.
- Victoria (5/5): It was fun but won’t be back - I loved the tree house, the rooms were a little small there was nowhere to put luggage but that’s okay. Loved the black beach The location of the resort was hard because there is nothing around it. The staff was very slow on providing things when asked. I don’t think I would come back because it was expensive for what you got. We stayed at other airbnbs in El Salvador and we got more for our money!
- Stephanie (9/5): Great concept! - Came to El Salvador for this and did not disappoint
Pillows on bed! Best in El Salvador
WiFi great
View great
Restuarant great I booked wrong oceanfront bungalow- wanted oceanfront treehouse- but worked out came back for jungle treehouse.
Book massage early fill up
- Stephanie (9/5): Super duper cool - Treehouse was fun experience.
Loved Restuarant and vibe super great
Bring sunblock and mosquito spray
Definitely book oceanfront treehouse if you can- jungle has less privacy No WiFi in treehouse 15 or signal bar
Book massage early fill up
Would be amazing if they raked the beach

- Kamilla K (8/5): Overall great place to stay for a short beach visit - Loved the beachfront location and the unique tree house room (which was very comfortable). The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. And the food and cocktails were, by and large, tasty. If you're looking for something very peaceful and tranquil, this may not be it, because half the property is a beach club (with a live DJ on weekends).
- Jillian (8/5): Beautiful spot for a short stay - Beautiful location, enjoyed the complimentary activities, such as yoga and meditation, as well as that there were additional activities and services available (at a charge). Loved the garden and that there were kittens, peacocks and silkie chickens running around the property. Communication could have been better, especially on activity times; an example: activity was said to be at 6pm on the calendar but in an email said it was at 6:45pm. It was also a bit confusing that the massages offered at the restaurant were separate from the hotel as the food was billed to the room.
- Wade (10/5): -
- monica (10/5): Magnifico - Todo hermoso!
Everything was perfect

- Marroquín (10/5): - La amabilidad .
- Martha (10/5): Always will be back. - 3rd time in over a year I’ve stayed here with friends. Always returning with a bigger group. The “spa” area. Booked massages for the group and they only had 1 massage therapist. The area is shared with no noise control. The esthetic is lacking compared to the resort.
- Sandra (6/5): Amazing -
- kamar (10/5): -
- Percy (10/5): Peaceful place to enjoy the ocean. - The jungle tree houses are amazing, excellent design and the hotel pool, though small, has an extraordinary view. My room had a bit of musty smell, which is understandable because of the location but not expected for the price that’s being charged for the experience.
- Blanca (9/5): More days my vacations - I like everything In Mizata. There was NO TV.
- Justin (7/5): It was great. Very cool spot. - Structure was great, everything felt (was) handmade, it was cool, good music, good vibe and great food/drinks. Plunge pool and sauna were awesome though well removed from a pool or the ocean. Room needed side tables and plugs, beach towels would have been nice, pool was too warm, kids in the quiet pool (should be adults only resort), breakfast could have started earlier, beach could have been cleaned and raked. Resort and staff was overly focused on a yoga group so they took the best reservations every day and night and it was tough to get the waiters attention sometimes.
- Shayne (10/5): Get away from it all in comfort - Super nice staff, lovely gardens and ideal location for getting away from it all. Like glamping on the beach. Nothing!
- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martha (10/5): Will always make time to stay here. - Little hidden treasure I keep missing out on the fun parties
- Julia (10/5): Incredible. Beautiful. Magical. A truly relaxing but fun and unique experience. Can’t wait to go back. - Everything. The amenities, the attention to detail to feel immersed in nature, the peacocks walking around, how clean it is and everything it has to offer from yoga, temazcal, delicious food, surf, sauna, cold plunge, gym, pool, etc. It says adults only but there were definitely multiple kids running around. I don’t mind kids but technically false advertising on that part for anyone that does care about it truly being an adults only property.
I paid for a bungalow instead of a treehouse and the one I was put in definitely didn’t match the pictures as far as the bathroom goes. Still very nice and clean but the bathroom could use some sprucing up specifically in the one I stayed in. Maybe more vibrant paint or at least repaint the shower? Not bad enough to complain about but being honest with feedback. It didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the property.
- Jeannette (3/5): Not welcoming. - They have very good publicity…
We like that is in front of the sea. The parking situation wasn’t good they have very limited parking space and it was packed we ended up parking on the street. Nobody was there to guide us.
I didn’t feel welcome it all.
Reception staff is cordial but they don’t gave enough information.
Nobody asked me if I needed something. I have been in a lot of beach resorts in El Salvador but I this one the costumer service its not what I expected specially for what we’re paying.
I didn’t know that this property wasn’t kid friendly not food for kids or any activities when I booked through booking it says kids weren’t allowed in the treehouses.
There was no tv or phone at the bungalow.
I guess this place is adult exclusive.
I have a 10 years old daughter if the place isn’t kid friendly it’s a deal breaker for me.
We didn’t like the pools.
- Albatal (10/5): Just perfect place to relaxation and enjoy the summer, absolutely highly recommended ❤️ - Everything is crafted to perfection from the professional service to the stunning decor and incredible ambiance. Highly recommended for anyone visiting El Salvador!
- William (7/5): Good -
- Despina (10/5): beautiful stay, will definitely return - beautiful and well maintained small pool near front desk not clean.
breakfast was a tad cold and not cooked well.
- Emma (10/5): Paradise - the perfect way to relax after exploring El Salvador - The most incredible place I've stayed. Serene, luxurious but not stuffy, amazing food at Nawi Beach House and Ishwi Omakase. The beachfront tree house views were unparalleled. We took advanatage of everything on site – food & drink, deep tissue massage, horseback riding, yoga class, surfing, even a tattoo artist. I hope I can stay here again. It was unclear how to book services (like massage, omakase, etc) in advance, even after I had a pre-trip call with the concierge. Many things were booked up when we got there - but the on-site staff was very kind and managed to help us fit it all in. I wish you could book serivces in advance online.
- Robbie (9/5): Superb -
- Chenequa (4/5): It was a 5. The treehouse mold is bad. The view of the beach is good - The ocean view. And the sound of the ocean as you try to relax. The treehouse room I was in had mold it made me sick. They said they didn’t have any other rooms available. Not a good selection on food. Rooster’s making noise at 5 am, dogs barking all night, cat crying and whining all night.
- Flor (10/5): Exceptional - I loved everything about it. It was a marvelous experience. The service was top notch. The view and esthetic of the resort was super relaxing. The bathroom where hot
- So (10/5): An oasis for relaxation, meditation and fun! - Literally every inch of this resort is gorgeous, well thought out, great use of space and design. The staff is happy, amazing and so helpful!! The Temezcal is something everyone should do! The best massage I had in a long time with Pati. Nothing.
- Mariela (3/5): will not come back - I like the beach close to the resort and the Club house close to it with the restaurant. I requested before the arrival a surprise because it was my husband's birthday and they said ok. On arrival 1 young person took us to the tree house no explanation on anything because it was dark already around 8:00 pm. The facility its like a ghost house at night. It rained and all front was flooded. We got stuck in the road due to rain and streets flooded and I contacted the facility and they said they could do nothing because its nothing related to the facility. I asked about my husband's surprise which was not prepared and they said 2 days later that day we were going to have it and when arrived to hotel nothing prepared. Go to this hotel if you expect not to go anywhere because it is very secluded from city. Food was ok. No room service for 5 days. I really think its overpriced. It rained and during the night drops of water fall to your face and body from the roof and wake you up.
- Gerald (9/5): Needs a step up in terms of management, but fantastic location, and facilities - Dial location is great, design and layout materials used in the construction of the hotel. We’re all fantastic. The pool area was also very nice and right on the beach. P The room didn’t have a place to sit besides the bed and no TV. For the price point, the service was spotty, some people were great and some seem very disinterested like the weight staff. They were a little like the coffee service that was supposed to be out front certain hours wasn’t actually there, or there were no clean cups or the water in the lobby. Given the price point and the level of the hotel in general, it was as as if someone decided only to stock the bar with 1/3 of what you would stock in normal bar with. Extremely limited selection available.
- Arleen (10/5): Amazing experiences that brought us closer to the local culture via a luxury vibe - The quality of the structures/ rooms was impeccable. As someone who works in the design field, the attention to detail was superb and really appreciated. The people/staff were all amazing, helpful and informative. The experience was amazing and I've already been recommending the experience to people I know. Would have appreciated knowing that tax and tips would be added to the tab for any expenses that were incurred.
- Nelson (7/5): Good -
- Javier (8/5): Beautiful place, very nice premises, enviroment is peaceful - It has personality The supervision of the room cleaning
- Obando (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasmin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Javier (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Lynette (6/5): I get the vision of the place but it needs some upgrades. - Location was beautiful, tree house was beautiful, food was good. Staff was great! The dogs at the restaurant/yoga were very annoying. There was a bad smell near the family pool and in the suite bathroom. Smelled like animal poop or vomit. The suites were separated from the resort. Walking in the dark with kids across the street to go to the suites was a bit uncomfortable especially with the dogs coming up to you and the cars driving through. They should mention that the suites are outside of the resort.
Japanese restaurant was always empty, probably because it only serves raw seafood. Not ideal - wok meals, or cooked fish options would make it more appealing.
- Yeymi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arbaiza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yesenia (10/5): Beautiful getaway - Beach is beautiful/ hotel is pretty yoga was a great plus and horse back riding was amazing, they have alot for you to do outside of the hotel if you want to book a day trip to a location/ There are no store's shopping center/ other restaurants near this resort. The restaurant is very nice menue selection is small
- Martha (10/5): Dream come true to find this gem in our motherland. - It’s an escape. My friend and I took our kids to explore El Salvador and they loved it. It’s great for couples, friends and parents with 18 yrs old kids that are in the in between ages of kid/adult. Only thing that annoyed us was the smell of sulfur in the plumbing of the bathroom. And the bugs at the doorway of the room. Other than that no complaints. Highly recommend this place.
- Jessica (10/5): Will return -
- Ingrid (8/5): Very good - Unique treehouse, exceptional front beach view. The restaurant music was too loud. You could hear it in the treehouse #8. If you want peace and quiet ask for a room close to the yoga pier.
- Ren (10/5): Great experience :) - Amazing service. Beautiful facility. There are a lot of activities inside and outside the facility. The bungalow room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the restaurant too. They have lots to offer. It was a bit touristy so I wouldn’t recommend it for someone who’s looking for more local experience. The guests were mostly Americans and social media influencers.
- Zhongshi (8/5): Excellent. Cool vibe. Nice beach - Beautiful design. Access road.
- J (8/5): Amazing - I loved every employee I interacted with. They were pleasant and welcoming. If you’re not paying attention you could really miss the turn to enter the facilities.
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Mehdi (8/5): Overall a bit pricey but recommend the experience - The location was really remote and beautiful. They had morning yoga (included) with incredible views of the cliffs and ocean which made starting the day quite a good experience!
The additional sauna and cold plunge (also included) were great as well as the possibility to book a 15min horseback riding on the beach. The overall experience is a bit Tulum vibe overall. The beach club was really nice with actually the best service we had in El Salvador.
It was initially not possible to hang at the pool there because we had our daughter with us but since there was some construction by the other pool they let us enjoy the club after we complained which was very nice of them. They also followed up multiple times to ensure our stay was great. The public toilets were constantly cleaned as well throughout the day by the club. Just as a nice touch, since like most places in El Salvador, you are not supposed to flush toilet paper but rather dispose of it in a small open bed trash bin, it could be nice to come and empty them daily.
The overall place looks really nice but also feels a bit unkept. Lots of decor on the walls are falling apart, the woods are deteriorating etc. The beach huts and club looks the best but the whole bungalows area could use some revamping
- Mo (10/5): Exceptional - Decor + location + Nawii beach It was perfect
- Hairston (10/5): Exceptional - /
- Nora (7/5): Beautiful place, but system needs work. - Room was spacious for my family of 6. Beautifully designed and staff was great! Not the easiest to find. We had a reservation for Wed 5/22-Fri 5/24 But when we arrived Xiomara told me there must have been a glitch in the system and their system had me for 5/21-5/23, and unfortunately they weren’t going to be able to accommodate us for both nights. I find this very unprofessional and when traveling with children very inconvenient. Yes they refunded the night we didn’t stay but it was a bit of a hiccup to my husband’s 40th bday trip.
- Nicholas (10/5): Tranquil and Tropical Getaway - This resort is simply fantastic. Beautiful grounds with amazing views and sunsets. If you can, stay in the treehouse! It’s an unforgettable experience nestled high above with ocean views! Breakfast was typical Central American: beans, plantains, eggs, cheese, etc. The black sand beach is GORGEOUS. You will get incredible photos.
You also get access to Nawi Beach House, which has an infinity pool, horseback riding, restaurant, chairs, and an outdoor “gym”. Food is a little pricier here, but worth it.
We will definitely return!!!!! NOT CRITICSM, JUST NOTES:
The resort is still partially under construction. There’s only one paved road leading to the resort (the rest are incredibly rocky). Workers are there during the day, but they cause minimal noise. But just be prepared to see workers excavating and building things. We didn’t have any issues, but we wanted to note this for others. They’re currently building another treehouse (or two) and finishing a beautiful steamroom!
We also highly recommend you rent a car because there’s not too much to do in the immediate area. If you are content with staying at the resort the entire time, you’re fine. But if you want to venture out, there’s only a few other restaurants in the town. So you’ll need a car to explore other areas.
- Eddie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): gorgeous - the beach the pools the staff was friendly and answered all my questions. the entrance takes from how beautiful the place actually is. I also did not like the salt water in the faucets for the sink as it burns your eyes if you were to wash your face
- Gloria (10/5): Must visit agai! - Great decor, Excellent services, Friendly staff
- Karina (8/5): can’t wait to come back - the location is amazing! the staff is awesome. the beds are great. super clean. doesn’t have hot water in the shower.
