The staff are super friendly and helpful, the common areas feel cozy and welcoming, and guests quickly become like friends. Clean rooms, great kitchen, and perfect location.I felt so comfortable here – highly recommend to solo travellers, couples and families! Will definitely come back.
• Fikkert (6/5): Very sweet hosts, however some things could be better. - The hosts were very sweet and gave great recommendations of things to do in the area. They were very enthusiastic and loved a chat. We had the feeling that we could definitely make ourselves feel at home. The accommodation was veeery clean and the garden etc was really well kept. The house was close to a bus stop. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. We sent a few messages and made a few calls in advance to ask if we could just drop off our bags before check in, but had no response. We were not given a key to the front door, so even had a call from the host at 10pm to ask where we were so they could lock the door. It wasn’t really nice to have this pressure to round up our evening plans. There also seemed to be quite a lot of noise from the hosts at late hours in the evening, with loud talking in the hallway or a loud TV in the bedroom next to us. The towels were also tiny and not really sufficient to bath or shower with.

• Ingrid (6/5): Voor ons geen aanrader, misschien wel voor wie graag bij mensen thuis logeert. - We hadden prachtig weer en hebben genoten van het terras achter het huis. De keuken is zeer volledig uitgerust en de kamers waren net. We hadden dit adres gevonden door de filter ‘gîte’ in te geven op Booking. Aangezien er slechts twee kamers (één slaapkamer heeft een vrij smal bed voor 2 personen) waren en we met vier boekten, dachten we dat dat we de woning voor ons alleen zouden hebben, maar het grootste deel van het huis wordt bewoond door het koppel eigenaars die nogal controlefreaks zijn en je weinig vakantiegevoel geven. Je deelt met hen de badkamer en de keuken (je krijgt twee vrije plankjes voor je eigen etenswaren in hun frigo, het leek alsof we in een studentenhome logeerden). Een zitruimte is er niet. Gelukkig konden we op het terras aan de tuin eten (waarvoor je weliswaar rond het huis heen moet) en zo wat privacy hebben. Voor de prijs die we voor 4 betaalden voor drie nachten, hadden we elders een volwaardige gîte kunnen huren. Het huis ligt aan een heel steil straatje (een 4X4 in de winter lijkt hier geen overbodige luxe) en je hoort goed de drukke baan naar Rochefort vanuit de slaapkamers. Als je met de trein komt, ligt het station niet zo ver, maar de baan naar Rochefort centrum is te voet echt geen aanrader, want er is geen voetpad en het is toch een dik halfuur stappen. In de directe buurt van het huis zijn geen winkels (de Delhaize ligt op een kleine 20 min. te voet.) Als je niet met de wagen bent, is dit geen ideale locatie om te verblijven.
• Ellen (10/5): Perfecte gastheer en prima verblijf op 300m van deze locatie - Wat onaangenaam had kunnen verlopen werd een perfecte ervaring: Blijkbaar was er bij Booking zelf een dubbele boeking gebeurd (zou niet de eerste keer zijn) voor onze kamer. De gastheer heeft het prima opgelost en heeft ons persoonlijk begeleid naar een ander verblijf in de buurt. De stress van de dubbele boeking was niet fijn maar volgens de gastheer te wijten aan booking zelf.

• Christophe (10/5): Very friendly hosts, excellent facilities and optimal location for cycling classic tour “La Magnifique” - I enjoyed a warm welcome upon arrival, and appreciated the comfortable temperature in the garden side bedroom (my stay was on a really hot day in June). A very clean bathroom with an excellent shower was really a plus after a long day in the saddle. The location is optimal for cyclists participating in “La Magnifique”, the cycling tour starting in nearby Rochefort (about 1 km from the start) Nothing really.

• Maiss (9/5): Little house on the outskirts of Rochefort with super nice hosts - Very nice couple hosting us, they waited for us because we had a bit of delay from the road. Very accommodating & flexible. The house is on the outskirts of town so quite peaceful. The bed was a bit small for two people.

• David (10/5): Exceptional - The owners of the house are wonderful. Very welcoming and very friendly. Our bedroom was clean and very adequate for our stay. The shared bath also was clean and provided all the amenities for shower, hair dryer, etc. The lady of the house (I forgot her name) was very friendly but spoke only French. We know a little French so we were able to understand and make ourselves understood. We had access to the kitchen to make coffee in the morning. She also gave some biscoff biscuits to have with our coffee. Also some pears from their garden. She sent us on our way with some more pears and apples. We would definitely stay there again.
• Jonza (9/5): Superb - Really nice place to stay! First of all, very hospitable hosts. Had nice time with them and also got good info about my excursions etc from them. Good location in a sense that in mid-way between the city and the railway station, which was quite convenient at least for me (still some distance from both though). Room and facilities were also very good. Enjoyed my stay here. Nothing really.

The area is very beautiful, in the heart of the Ardennes. The accommodation is a 3 min drive from Rochefort, a beautiful town with nice restaurants and shops. There is also a train station close by. Perfect area for nature lovers too, for example hiking, cycling ect in the area.

The short alley to access the street from the main road is very steep. I was scared that the car would slip on the wet cobblestones but it turned out fine, you just need some courage :).

The fireplace was burning and we were welcomed with coffee and homemade soup. The location was a short drive to Rochefort which has many nice restaurants. The house has a nice homy athmosphere and a beautiful garden. All was perfect
