• Hege (8/5): Vi anbefaler andre å prøve denne perlen ☺️ - Rolig, tilbaketrukket, privat. Nydelig bassengområde, veldig koselig leilighet. Vertene var veldig hyggelige, kom med variert og god frokost hver dag. Vi lagde fersk appelsinjuice fra appelsiner plukket i hagen 🙌🏻
• Diana (10/5): Wunderschöne Anlage mit bester Verpflegung und guter Lage (vom Bahnhof) - Vom Bahnhof gut erreichbare Unterkunft (wenn man keine schweren Koffer dabei hat, sonst geht auch ein Uber). Wunderschöne Anlage mit tollem Pool und vielen ruhigen Sitzmöglichkeiten, von denen man den Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Der Gastgeber war unglaublich nett und hat uns bei der Abfahrt bei Regen sogar zum Bahnhof gefahren. Tolles Frühstück und superleckere selbstgepflückte Orangen. Der tolle Aussichtspunkt Casal de Loivos lässt sich in ca. 45 min zu Fuß erreichen wenn man fit ist. Die Unterkunft hat nur ein Fenster, weshalb sie etwas dunkel ist. War aber kaum ein Problem, da wir eh die ganze Zeit am Pool oder unterwegs waren.
• Katy (9/5): Absolutely amazing, we didn’t want to leave! - Antonio and Christina’s hospitality was amazing. They had thought of everything we might need and Antonio was so kind to give us lifts back home so we didn’t have to walk up the big hill. He also offered to drive us to a few amazing viewpoints. The breakfast hamper was outstanding, so much food and they had gone to the trouble of providing gluten free. The pool is lovely, a real treat. A bit more natural light in the rooms would have been nice as there are no windows apart from one in the front door. And it’s on a steep hill so not easy to get to but that isn’t the fault of the owners and they went out of their way to help us by driving us up!

• Dani (10/5): חוויה נפלאה - הצימר של אנטוניו וכריסטינה זו ליגה אחרת. ראשית היינו זוג אבל זה מתאים גם לזוג פלוס שניים בקלות. צימר גדול ויחיד עם חצר ענקית ובריכה המשקיפה על נחל הדורו. (הבית בשכונה פרוורית מעל העיר). הצימר גדול מרוהט וממותקן היטב, (כולל מכונת אספרסו, מיקרו גל, טוסטר, מסחטת מיץ , וכו וכו וכו) הכל עובד יפה ובעלי הבית ציידו אותו בשפע, כל מה שקשור בקפה וחלב, כולל פרי ההדר שקטפו מהעצים שלהם. ארוחת בוקר ברמה גבוהה כולל פירות וירקות טריים, חביתות חמאה גבינות.... הסיוע של אנטוניו וכריסטינה והאירוח יוצאי דופן ממש: אנטוניו התנדב להסיע אותנו הלוך וחזור מהעיר, ושניהם נתנו עצות, סייעו וטיפלו בנו כאילו היינו בני משפחה. לצערי בגלל לוח זמנים לא יכולנו להאריך השהייה אבל מאד מקווים שנצליח לחזור. מומלץ!!!
• Dalia (10/5): Amazing stay in Sintra - The villa is gorgeous. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything was spotless clean. The breakfast was great with lots of variety to choose from. Everything was great!
• Els (10/5): Heerlijk om hier even bij te tanken. Het goede vakantie gevoel. - We hebben na een lange warme reis heerlijk aan het zwembad gezeten. Echt heel fijn en rustig met nog heel lang de zon. Eigenaar is erg vriendelijk!!! En behulpzaam. Het ontbijt met vers fruit en sinaasappels uit eigen tuin om te persen. Parkeren en de lokatie vinden was even lastig. Het ligt hoog, dus zorg dat je je boodschappen al hebt gedaan.

• Msol_larena (10/5): - Todo perfecto. La habitación bonita, espaciosa. Tenía una mini cocina con todo lo necesario y aún así nos sorprendió llevándonos un desayuno muy completo. Totalmente recomendable. Lastima que no podíamos quedarnos más tiempo.

• Karen (10/5): - THE BEST PORTUGUESE BREAKFAST Jim and I traveled Portugal for a month. This stay was the BEST! The hosts were wonderful and could not have done any more for us. We were welcomed with a carafe of the best Port Wine 🍷. The facility was impeccably clean andl organized. The pool and surroundings were beautiful with gardens, fruit trees and view of Douro Valley and River. BUT, Christina served the best Portuguese breakfast, 😋 such a variety and enough to make lunch for the day of exploring. If I lived in Portugal I would visit and stay a week or two, just to relax. Antonio's translation from Portuguese was a lot of fun. I thought that he said that "I have a massage included" (not a Portuguese speaking American) Great Hosts!

• Michel (9/5): Sejour tres agreable - L emplacement sur les hauteurs de Pinhao.Logement grand et tres bien equipe. Doit etre top quand la piscine est ouverte.(nous etions en mars). Plein de marques d attention a notre arrivee. Boissons chaudes the cafe, biscuits , porto. Et surtout les oranges du jardin. Elles sont succulentes. Un grand merci a notre hote du sac offert a notre depart. Nous en avons profite tout notre sejour. Le petit dejeuner apporte le matin devant notre porte etait copieux et varie. Rien ne manquait. Bref nous recommandons. Rien a voir avec le logement et nos hotes. Mais en mars l activite touristique ne bat pas son plein .difficile de trouver un restaurant ouvert au village et les commerces ferment tot. S organiser en consequence mais rien d insurmontable.

• Hartmut (9/5): - Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück frisch,lecker und umfangreich.Die Lage am Berg gibt einen wunderbaren Blick über den Douro und das Tal. Zu Fuß talwärts in den Ort ca 12 min. Zurück gegen den Berg haben wir meistens ein Taxi genommen. 5€. Lohnend ein Taxi zum Miradoru und wunderbare Wanderung ins Tal. Ca 7km.
• Josaphine (10/5): - This was a truly delightful place to stay. The hosts are thoughtful and generous, the room was comfortable and large. Each morning we were provided more than enough breakfast including bread, eggs, ham, cheese, fruit and sweets. There are also oranges for juicing, coffee and tea facilities, and a washing machine. The check-in process was very easy. We spent hours sitting at the front of our room with a port, coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice just watching the world go by with a delightful view of the river and the town. The location is in town but towards the top of the hill. Being fairly fit and active we walked from the river to our room many times (including with our suitcases). This certainly gets the heart rate going and is steep with lots of steps, but is absolutely manageable on foot if you don't mind some exertion. Otherwise consider if you will be needing taxis to get to this gorgeous spot. Overall delightful and thankyou to Antonio josé and Cristina for hosting us.
• Lauren (10/5): Fantastic guest house, highly recommend in the area! - The property was situated on a hill with a fabulous view of the Douro River. The amenities in the listing were present and functional. It was easy to get in and out and felt very safe. The property was clean and the hosts were very attentive and responsive. The breakfast was huge! The beds were hard.
• Eileen (10/5): Great place to stay - Great location, amazing views on the journey through the valley. Studio apartment with very well equipped kitchen area, plus another bedroom. spotlessly clean plus added facility of a shared full blown kitchen, washing machine, bbq etc. Breakfast delivered to outside the door was lovely. Hosts were charming and very accommodating. Private pool. Nothing - the whole area is set on steep hills, walking shoes or taxis are best!
• Shibu Paul (10/5): Awesome hillside property with a great view and amazing hosts - Casa Das Laranjeiras is an awesome hillside property with an amazing view of the Douro Valley and the Pinhao Quay. Antonio and Cristina, who own and run the place, literally obsess about keeping the property clean and in tip-top shape and are an absolute delight to interact with. Apart from the common kitchen area where one can cook, the rooms themselves are very well furnished including a refrigerator, a nespresso machine (including adequate pods), an automatic citrus juicer, a toaster oven etc. The oranges and the bottle of port wine are a nice gesture. The property is apparently 1700 metres from the Pinhao station and google maps shows it to be a 15 mins walk. However, please note that the route to the property is uphill and may be difficult to do in hot weather. There are limited number of taxis at the Pinhao station, so would be helpful to get the taxi company's contact number before coming. The property is west facing, so one can take a gentle walk to Pinhao station in the early mornings. Nothing

• Stephen (9/5): Excellent stay and we would gladly return - Exactly as listed, secured parking on site, gorgeous view and although we were there in November and could not take advantage of the pool and patio — they looked very inviting! The hosts were accommodating to dietary needs in the excellent breakfast — ample coffee provided in room. The mattress is likely due for replacement.
• Daniela (9/5): Toller Ausblick, schöne Wohnung! - Waren nur für eine Nacht dort. Lage ist oberhalb von Pinhao. Die Schlüssel fürs Einfahrtstor und Zimmer werden in einem Safe hinterlegt. Das Zimmer ist eher ein Apartement, somit sehr geräumig. Es gibt eine kleine Küchenzeile mit Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Toaster, Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine (Kapseln vorhanden). Weiters sind in der Küche vorhanden: Milch, Trinkwasser, Zucker, Kekse, Tee, Kakao, div. Gewürze und Orangen für frisch gepressen Orangensaft, auch Butter, Marmelade und Honig sind vorhanden. Der Frühstückskorb stand pünklich um 8 Uhr vor der Tür, dieser war wirklich großzügig gefüllt! Wohnung und Badezimmer waren sehr sauber! Im Bad gab es Pflegeprodukte, Handtücher und auch Pooltücher. Schöner, großer Pool. Das einzige was zu erwähnen wäre, dass es nur ein Fenster in der Eingangstür gibt, somit ist es etwas dunkel in der Wohnung.

• Claudia (10/5): - Perfekte Unterkunft in toller Lage! Das Apartment liegt oberhalb von Pinhao, der Ort ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr schöner Blick von der gemütlichen Terrasse auf Pinhao und den Douro. Morgens steht ein reichlich und vielseitig gefüllter Frühstückskorb vor der Tür. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, eine tolle Unterkunft! -
• Rex (9/5): Excellent in Pinhao - Very well equipped, even an electric orange juicer! Lots of extras and the breakfast delivered to our door was excellent. The pool looked inviting, although we didn't use it this time. The climb up the hill from the village to the property is demanding! But a taxi is less than 5€.
