- Benincà (8/5): - Roberto, il proprietario, si è rivelata persona premurosa, gentile e disponibile Unica pecca, il problema di parcheggio. Non facile a trovarsi soprattutto se ai rientra a casa dopo cena.
- Guest (9/5): Enthusiastically recommended for independently-minded visitors - Da Gildina is an excellent option for an independently-minded traveler who doesn't mind self-catering and riding public transport to get to the center. The owner-manager is very kind despite the language barrier and picked me up from the nearest subway station which on foot is about 15 minutes away from the apartment.
Despite the apartment's size, HVAC is totally fine and I was pleasantly surprised how well the one air conditioning unit in opposite the main door helped to cool the entire apartment during a heatwave. Sleeping spaces are a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a fold-out sofabed in the kitchen.
All rooms are furnished as you'd expect although it would been nice if the kitchen cabinets had actual bowls rather than deepened plates. I used a big mug as a bowl to eat my oatmeal at breakfast. Still, I had no trouble doing some meal-planning and could easily cook enough food for myself and then reheat any leftovers over the following days in the microwave.
For groceries, options are a decently-sized outlet of "Pam" and an outlet of "iN's Mercato" of similar size each of which is 10 minutes away on foot. There are also pizzerias in the neighborhood including one in front of the westbound streetcar stop at "Ghemme" for route number 13 which is how you'd get to and from the center (a 20-minute ride).
Lastly, the washing machine is in the bathroom although I used a "Speed Queen" coin laundry (5€ to wash about 10 kg of laundry plus 2€ for 10 minutes in a dryer) right around the corner since I didn't want to buy a full jug of detergent and hadn't the time then to dry all my clothes on a rack the old-fashioned way. The only thing to bear in mind is that the unit is on the ground floor with the bedroom window facing the north side on the street. Even though this street isn't as busy as one in downtown, there's some traffic early in the morning which may be noisy enough to wake you up before you'd like.
- Hoxhaj (4/5): Bad experience - The apartment was not cleaned properly hairs all over the floor , water problems the water turned on and off out of nowhere you needed to get out of the bathroom and turn it on in the kitchen to continue the boiling water and wait for a few minutes. Two days we had lights problem they barely managed it. We stayed for 25 nights and they did not have slippers even that we told they could not bring but just brought some chocolates not needed at all for the lights problems
