Guest Reviews
- Nicola (2/5): GONE BUST DO NOT BOOK - Arrived at the property and it has closed for business leaving us stranded at the height of summer when everything is booked up. We are hours from home on a road trip.Taken our money months ago and no word from the owners, still listed online and still taking bookings. Landlord at a local pub told us tbey had gone bust. Shocking behaviour!! Beware of booking here, need to take it from your website! Doing a chargeback with credit card.
- Martin (10/5): - The accommodation was immaculately clean and bright. Lovely setting in a beautiful countryside.
- Pat (6/5): Disappointingly small room/bed - They have Budget Doubles, Economy Doubles, Doubles and a Family Room. We booked the Economy Double. We were rather disappointed at just how small the room was although it was nicely finished. The bed was the smallest type of double at 4ft and after the first night we would have liked to have moved to a larger room/bed for our second night. But we were told that it wasn’t possible even though 5 of the 7 rooms were clearly unoccupied which surprised us. Also the day we arrived was really cold and there was no heating left on in the room and it was several hours before it warmed up. So all in all bit disappointing. Presumably the Budget Double is even tighter on space than the Economy Double. Our recommendation would be go for the Double if you want enough bed space.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really friendly and helpful owner and staff. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. Only stayed the night so didn't spend much time there. A little cramped in the deluxe room.
- Anjana (10/5): - Loved the Turkish egg breakfast. Would have loved a tall mirror in the bedroom.
- Barry (10/5): - Easy check in, great communication, rooms very clean, modern with all the facilities one needs. Will definitely stay again.
- Caitlin (10/5): - Really lovely, clean rooms! Small and compact but exactly what we needed and walking distance to our location. Extremely easy check-in and check-out.
- Monica (10/5): - Room was pristine. Staff really accommodating about my son’s light sensitivity. Food was great!
- Steph (6/5): Okay room. - The room was nice however i thought it was strange as it stated that on my check in email that we had been upgraded and when we got to the room, it was at the rear of the building an ok size however no where to put any clothes so everything had to stay in the case. View was onto a brick wall. Not sure what we were upgraded from. Would have been better if breakfast was an option and also somewhere to grab a drink and something to eat etc on an evening instead of having to travel for miles out.
- james (6/5): - Standard bed was only an ordinary double and the first night I fell out of bed twice and cut my head on side of table. There was no breakfast until 10am and not much of food available or choice. Nearest cafe was a mile or so away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a straightforward overnight stay and we were quite happy with it - it did the job. Two improvements suggested are 1.. to provide an ordinary upright chair in the room. There was nothing to sit on apart from the bed and 2. I think it was overpriced without any breakfast at all included.
It was a nice room . comfortable bed and very clean. All good.
- RONALD (8/5): - REFRESHING ,UNIQUE AND FRIENDLY.
- Ian (6/5): - Room was smallish, with a cupboard with shelves but no hanging space. No surfaces to place any belongings (make-up etc.) Extremely small shower room, with an inconvenient shelf above the small sink, which had a crack in it. The road was busy and noisy. The room door required muscles to push or pull it open as the closer has been set incorrectly. The stairs and landing have been set up for easy cleaning, but, will need carpet to be less noisy. Sea view? Top road exit has limited view - signage!
- John (10/5): - We had a great time , very comfortable and clean.
Breakfast is not served before 10 am, so too late for us , and the restaurant was not open in the evening , but I’m sure it will be sorted out soon , it’s all new.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very good stay, clean, comfortable, in a good location close to South west coast path. We would have liked to have breakfast but 10am was too late for us.
- Christopher (8/5): - Very friendly staff, exceptionally clean, cozy and modern room. Nice fluffy towels and soft bed sheets. Lovely and quiet.
Breakfast doesn’t start until 10:00 which was inconvenient as we like to get an early start. Watch yourself on the driveway, it’s very uneven.
