• Alex (10/5): In a great location close to Sanahin Monastery and Mikoyan Brothers Museum. - Had a really great stay here in Sanahin. The host was a very kind man who did everything he could to help me and made me feel really welcome. The place was comfortable and the whole experience was very easy and pleasant. Also, for English speakers, this is a really great place to stay. Would definitely recommend.

• Filip (9/5): Útulný hostel za dobrou cenu - Ubytování na dobrém místě v centru Sanahinu, ke klášteru se dá dojít za 20 minut. Paní majitelka byla moc příjemná a ochotná, dokonce nám i zařídila odvoz do Jerevanu. Dole pod ubytováním provozuje obchůdek s potravinami, kde je možné si nakoupit něco k snědku. Společný prostor je s originální výzdobou, lednicí, rychlovarnou konvicí a nádobím. Vše bylo čisté a působilo přijemně domáckou atmosférou. Na našem pokoji bylo docela málo úložného prostoru, ale mohli jsme na věci využít třetí postel.

• Rowena (9/5): - Very warm welcome and handy to be able to access a small grocery store downstairs! The room was comfortable and the shared bathroom very clean. The location was good for a small village. Tea and coffee provided as well as a small fridge. Not big things but useful to know if you're a light sleeper, there is a coffee machine outside the hostel so there are some people who will use it during the night and you can hear cars passing too So light sleepers should bring ear plugs and eye mask as there is glass in the doors too.

• Facundo (10/5): Buena atención, ubicación y tamaño de habitación. - La anfitriona ha sido muy amable, incluso nos ayudó con la reserva del transporte para poder continuar nuestro viaje. La habitación muy cómoda y tranquila. Lugar limpio, tanto la habitación como el baño y salón compartidos. Buena ubicación para quien quiere ir al monasterio (15 minutos caminando). No tengo nada negativo para decir.

• Jonathan (9/5): Very welcoming and cosy hostel in Sanahin - Great size of room & bathroom/communal facilities very good. Location very good in heart of Sanahin. Tea, coffee & kettle provided as well as fridge for food storage was good. Slightly better access to kitchen cooking facilities would be good if self catering, but very minor pickup here.
• Hawwa (9/5): Quaint hotel with friendly owners - Location was great and very affordable. Nearby to the Monastery There is a small store downstairs run by the owners, who are very sweet, helpful and accommodating. The shared bathroom was decent and always clean. A small area available to make coffee or tea. The hostel is located in a small village, 6km north of the center of Alaverdi, so there are not many restaurants nearby. The restaurants close very early, making it necessary to have small facilities to store or reheat leftovers or ready made meals. Beware that this hostel doesn't have a kitchen. Only a teapot to make coffee or tea. The hostel could be improved for guests dramatically if they just added a mini refrigerator and a microwave to the common space.. just to store leftovers or reheat simple ready-made meals. That addition would have make this a perfect spot.

Close to Sanahin Monastery and a marked trail from there to Haghpat Monastery, the trail is easy, good nature, rural village and valley views on the way. i got a return bus from Haghpat at 14.00.
• City (10/5): Exceptional - Central location at sanahin, 5km from Alaverdi bus station, 1.5 km to sanahin monasteries, home feeling. The owner is running groceries on the ground floor, check in before 8 pm at night, highly recommended. Early check out before 9 am using the back door. Take bus 3 to the premise from Alaverdi Nil

• Patti (10/5): Great! Clean, comfortable - Very clean, nice room. Good location. Take there bus nr 3. Morning time you have to leave using back door. Great bathroom. The best place to stay during my travel in Georgi, Azerbaijan and Armenia. I didn’t know that morning time have to use another door to leave and I was waiting for somebody 1 hour.

They helped me with onward transportation to Yerevan too (reserved me a seat on the bus, helped me get to the bus station, etc.). They really did everything to make my stay a super pleasant one.

We didn't carefully read that our 2 rooms had no personal bathroom, but it was in common with other guests. The owners are extrimely kind, the make you feel like you're at home. Very good place too book, mostly for short stays.

She owns a little shop that you have to walk through to get into the hostel and she gave us a handful of free chocolates on arrival ♥️

• Erik (9/5): Great budget stay - You have to enter the shop first to get inside, the staff of the shop and hostel is very friendly and helpful, little language barrier tho but it's fine. The rooms were good and you have all you need for a short stay. Bathroom is shared but not with many people. Living room is nice and I met some other solo travellers too. Location is very good if you want to hike to Sanahin and Haghpat In my room the curtains were thin, so it was very bright in my room from early morning

• Alessio (10/5): Wonderful stay. Amazing hosts. - Lovely hosts, welcoming and friendly. They run a shop at the ground floor of the building (which is open form 9 to 24) hence they are always available. Location is good, on the Main Street of the town. At the time of the visit the road leading to the town was under repair so be ready for a bumpy and slow ride, I hope it will be completed soon. I wish the kitchen had a fridge.
• Jentzsch (9/5): Superb - This is extremely good value for money, very clean and with a good, spacious shower. The location is good for exploring the surrounding sights. The only thing I can complain about is that there was no fridge available for the guest, making it impossible to store a cold drink or two in the hot summer nights.

• Robert (10/5): There are some nice monasteries to hike to from here and the countryside was breathtaking. - The wifi was good, the showers were hot and had good water pressure, it was clean. What else can you ask for? You don't travel to this part of Armenia to hang out in the room. I hiked all day and slept well at night, which was all I wanted. Can't think of anything.
• Victor (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful time in Mini house, the shared room is cosy, and there is coffee/tea. We were welcomed with so much warmness and smile, we felt at home instantly. The owners also have a little supermarket just next to the hostel, which is very useful to buy some food for the day ! The room is clean and luminous, bathroom is clean, towels are given. I really recommend the place.

• Chan (8/5): A conducive ambience waiting for guests who are eager to explore the rural setting of a property. - Unlimited consumption of coffee and tea. Being the only guest in the property. Spacious living room all to myself. A personal room to myself. Able to stay up late without having to switch the lights off in the living room and my personal room. Helpful owner in providing information on transportation timings, availability and points of departure. The location of the property which is far from the town centre and requires the use of a taxi to reach it. The current state of road and other construction works which caused inconvenience and danger for guests moving around the area. The security alarm that went off when I went downstairs the next morning, causing the back door to lock me in the property until the owner arrived to de-activate it. The time wasted could have been used for me to take some photographs (which I had planned) at the cliff side restaurant. The owner should have constantly monitor the supply and availability of coffee powder, sugar and creamer (this item was never there) which had ran out during my stay.
• João (10/5): Friendly guesthouse - Cozy guesthouse in Sanahin owned by very friendly and helpful family, we felt like home. There’s a minimarket inside where you can shop for food. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom too. There’s free coffee and tea in the common area and the Wi-Fi was very good. nothing

• Abbate (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the property is amazing, in the center of Alaverdi near the breathtaking canyon. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, so it checked all the major boxes. The hosts are wonderful people which invited me to spend time with them, which I truly enjoyed. they speak English, so it was great to have chats with them and learn about Armenia. They offered me some food and to drink too.
• Rosanna (9/5): good location at the top of the gorge - the location was at the top of the gorge (Alvaberdi town is at the bottom - this is where the bus to/from the border stops). On the Main Street and about 15 minutes walk to the monastery. very friendly owner who runs a shop below. There are four bedrooms in total. One double with ensuite and three sharing the bathroom. Good common room with smart tv and kettle with tea and coffee. (the triple room is off this). Comfortable beds. ours had a curtain which helped block out the street light but the other twin room didn’t.

• Richu (8/5): A good stay, but it’s designed more like an Inn than a hostel. Nice overall. - Private room. That was nice. The people are really helpful. The hostel doesn’t have a view. They have amazing mountains all around, but the hostel doesn’t have a view and it doesn’t even have a balcony to sit outside.

• Eleonore (7/5): Good - The hosts are nice. The room is really quite small for 3 people. It lacks some coat hanger. Only one bathroom with the toilet inside for the whole hostel. No separate WC unfortunately.
• Stephanie (7/5): Recommend in nice weather, not in cold. - The house is really lovely, beautifully decorated. Room is small but very cute. Great common area. No hills. I imagine this place would be great in nice weather, especially with other travelers. Hosts are very sweet. There is no heat; host found me a space heater but it didn’t work very well, I was freezing. Location is sanahin, not alaverdi, which has great views if you wander and is super easy to the monastery but means an extra cost and extra 10 minutes to get to the bus station (though there are allegedly buses that go to vardzia from sanahin direct). Hosts speak basically no English.
• Francis (10/5): Chocolate Welcome - The hostel host is friendly. A bus to Yerevan leaves at 10:15 am, right in front of the hostel. The host gives you a small chocolate!
• Anna (10/5): hearty welcome in Alawerdi - the hosts are super nice and helpful. the place is nice and cosy, you can feel that they put heart in running that place and welcoming people. Coffee/tea spot was very practical. we’ve got good sleep as it was quiet on the night. it was cold on the bathroom

• Holger (8/5): Very good - The hotel is located very central. The owner is very helpful. The bath is very good. You can have tea and coffee. In my room (but only my room) there was only a simple curtain and not a second curtain to get the room dark. In front of the hotel is the main street with some street lights. So it was quite bright.
• Jan (9/5): Superb - Very nice and helpful owner. Good location in the city center. Nice and well furnished rooms. At the ground floor there is a grocery store where is possible to buy something. From time to time for some reason the water in the bathroom stopped flowing (you need to ask the owner to turn it on).

• Matthias (9/5): pleasant stay (albeit loud until late) - very nice hosts. room had „chill area” ie an elevated area with mattresses and cushions(making the rest of the room of course tiny but that’s fair). clean. bikes could be arranged (but are not for free - so be sure to clarify the price beforehand) 3 rooms go to the main road which is busy/loud until very late, as are the customers of the shop downstairs and from the neighboring shops. 1 room goes to the back and might be quieter but it’s directly next to the common room (incl tv) so it depend quite a bit on the other guests how quiet it turns out to be.

• Gáspár (10/5): Good place to spend a night in Sanahin - A nice and clean room in the Hostel near to the wonderful monastery of Sanahin with very friendly and helpful hosts. This was my second time there but I do hope I will return in the future as well. The street can be a bit noisy because the local meeting point for the youngsters is nearby.

• Birgül (9/5): Superb - The location of the hostel was quite convenient for Sanahin Monastery. The facility was very clean and comfortable. Narina and Ararat are very sweet, smiling people and they helped with everything. If you are going there, you should definitely stay at the Mini House.
