• Bobby (8/5): A comfortable place to stay - Located in the hustle and bustle of the city, it can be a bit loud at night. But closing the windows really helps and we slept very well. The staff didn't speak English which was sometimes a bit complicated, but they were keen to help. The room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we could wish for (AC, warm shower, wifi, refrigerator). The restaurant was disappointing and especially the pizza was the most bland we ever ate. Also the breakfast options were few and not great. All in all we still had a comfortable stay here! The food in the restaurant was very bland and could have used more flavor.

• Mark (4/5): Average. Mosquitoes everywhere, even dead mosquitoes on the walls and windows. The staff were nice - Very basic breakfast. There were always short of something Hygiene was very bad . People used their an to pick things because they didn’t have cutlery for different things. Very limited food.

• Bernerd (10/5): Serene, Quiet, Excellent staff, Big Bed and ventilated Room, not a single mosquito! Totally enjoyed! - It was my first in Tana, and finding a very affordable place, I never expected it to be in league of the 7star players, but yes, Zara is excellent, quiet and especially if you have some work to do, its serene. Access to town is easy via taxi, and well, their bone soup and calamar, just super! Thanks team Zara for the excellent hospitality, I will be back, soon! All was veeery well

• Andre' (6/5): CASH ONLY (You've been warned) - 1. Breakfast took up a lot of space on the plate. I'm not a fan of lots of bread for show (4 types of bread), one finger of fruit, yogurt, a glass of juice(ish), and coffee (Can't add pic). Hotel staff will get you a taxi if needed. Pool looked clean and well maintained. The hotel itself was well maintained, but definitely looks out of place with it's surroundings. 1. Included breakfast was breakfast, but no eggs or meat included. 2. There's a lot of local activity surrounding the hotel; however, there is nothing in walking distance of the hotel for foreigners. 3. The view from the hotel was the real Madagascar (dilapidated shanty town housing in the rice flats, to including goat pasture, trash, street vendor setups, and mosquitos). 4. There was a foul odor coming up from the bathroom drain (kept bathroom door closed). 5. Cash only for payment (NO credit cards accepted - June 2024)
