• Thangiah (10/5): - I had a very good experience here. The service and assistance were excellent. The staff were always standby to help us. That day I was not feeling well, and I asked the manager where I could get some porridge. Surprisingly, the manager personally prepared porridge from home and brought it for us. They also gave us lemon green tea for my stomach upset and took great care of us. Their caring and hospitality level is truly top-notch. Thank you so much for the kindness and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Major tourist spots in accessible distance. Clean and spacious room and bathroom. Tasty homely breakfast. Very supportive staff and management.

• Sarah (10/5): - The room was absolutely beautiful. Very clean, very neat. The design, high roof ceiling. It was soo calming! We stayed here for 3 nights. I would come again! Balcony view is stunning, but do keep in mind its close to a road so there is occasional traffic. You can hear it. Also there was no fridge, but I heard they will put a fridge very soon! That would make it perfect.
• Abdul Sameer (10/5): Thekkady Visit - A beautiful and relaxed place to hangout, especially with family with children or couples. Its a peaceful atmosphere with cardamom plantations and ather farms. Nice view from Balcony. Very polite and helping attitude by the manager and the property owners. Its somewhat like a homestay rather than a resort. Very good breakfast. Highly recommended for people who love to get relaxed. It could have been better if they have facilities for lunch & dinner at the property. Fun activities for Children should be arranged better.

• Owen (9/5): - Gorgeous room, up in the tree tops with beautiful views. The owner and the manager are both really friendly and accommodating. A great spot to relax after going to the National park. There is also a restaurant a couple of minutes walk away, run by the extended family. The food was delicious. Alternatively, the staff can help you get a rickshaw into town very easily. The only sad thing was there was a dog at the property which seemed to be chained up on a very short chain (less than 1m). We were there for a couple of days and it was chained the whole time, which was heartbreaking to see.

• Martine (10/5): Ssuperdeluxe maar wel met een homestay-gevoel - Ik verwachtte een resort, maar bij aankomst bleek het een (superdeluxe) homestay te zijn. De supervriendelijke eigenaren spreken weinig Engels maar je hebt het meest contact met Arun, die perfect Engels spreekt en alles voor je kan regelen. Van treks in het Periyar tijgerpark tot vervoer, tot traditionele dansshows in de avond en een leuke cooking class. De kamer is heel mooi en schoon, met een goed bed en een goede douche. Top! Je zit een kwartiertje tot 20 minuten rijden bij het park en het dorp vandaan, maar er is een (supergoed) restaurant op 200 meter lopen. Verder hebben ze een vaste tuktuk-man die je tegen een kleine betaling overal naartoe kan brengen

Homely Break fast was good and healthy. Owners and staff is lovelyand very kind. Beautiful garden. There is lots of pets and farm(dog, duck, goat etc) which kids have a fun. Since we left early, we were given a small and tasty breakfast to take with us. A 300-meter walk along the busy main road leads to the only restaurant - bring a flashlight for safety!

• John (10/5): Beautiful room in a lush setting - Beautiful, enormous room with a lovely view. Really lush, green setting. Aroon was an exceptionally friendly and helpful host. Very good breakfast, even when we, being wimpy Brits, turned down an Indian style breakfast and asked for omelette, they accommodated us. Exceptional service. The road can be noisy, as can the dogs, but the positives far outweigh those negatives.

• Martino (10/5): Wonderful stay, great people, beautiful view - The place is absolutely wonderful! Great deal for the price you pay you get a first class experience. The staff is also super nice, the guy helped us with anything we needed ( like buses infos, reservations and travel tips). The room had a great view with big glasses facing the forest and a very cute balcony .The guy who takes care of everything is a lovely person, serves you the best breakfast and makes sure your stay goes as smooth as possible! Really a little gem in the outskirts of Thekkady Noting to complain

• Lizzy (8/5): Short and pleasant visit - We were not there for long so unfortunately cannot give a complete report. Needed a bit more time to better assess the property. Room was adequate. The staff was accommodating. They were willing to stick around to give us a late check in time and early check out, and also gave us breakfast to-go since we would miss the breakfast time due to a morning tour in the national park. Hot water did not work for us. Bed was very hard. Their breakfast time was only for an hour between 8.30-9.30 or something like that, and I believe it was an extra cost we booked in advance before we realized this. This property is remote without a lot around it. Most people go to tours in the national park early in the morning for best wildlife spottings. It would make more sense to have a longer and earlier start to the breakfast period given the property's location and purpose of travelers' visit.

• Emma (10/5): Thekaddy stay - The staff were amazing . I came down with an infection, and Akash brought me to the doctor, to the lab, and to the hospital. He organised all my medication and checked on me regularly to see if I was OK. I felt really taken care of and am so grateful. It takes about 15 - 20 mins in a tuck tuck to Thekaddy. But it's closer to Periyar.
• Anoek (9/5): Beautifull location with friendly and helpfull staff - The room is very clean and big/modern, I loved the balcony and the staff. Very helpfull. The reception arranged a taxi from Alleppey all the way to Periyar which was very helpfull too ! They also arranged laundry service 😄 The road is a bit noisy , it would have been nice if the balcony was on the other side of the building . I also missed a little fridge in the room and blackout curtains, its very light in the room. Be aware that the breakfast is 100% indian and there is no restaurant on walking distance. Please do not visit the elephant farms and do visit the greenland plantage visit instead !! This is amazing.

• Harsheel (6/5): Fell short of expectations - The place is in a green area overlooking tea fields and is located on a farm. It was an enjoyable outing. The staff were helpful. We arrived a little late and the experience from the start was not to our liking - with a young family we expected a more luxurious and clean room - however the room had many insects. Further the size of the rooms were small. Especially the premium one which looked bigger in the picture than the actual space. There were no food options in the place. Even the breakfast was quite basic and not a restaurant on site. That was a big problem for us. The location is slightly away from the city and therefore no shops/ restaurants close-by The hot water was not enough in the shower. Especially in chilly places one would like the hot water to be effective, however we couldnt get continuous hot water - it was intermittent in 1-2 minute intervals- very incovenient

• Andrew (9/5): I found myself smiling and laughing throughout our short stay. - Very warm welcome from all, and really comfortable newly built rooms. Johnny was extremely attentive and a charming young man. Bobin and his wife also very keen to make us at home and show us the plantation. The team are relatively new to this game and learning the ropes of hospitality but deserve to do well.
• Emma (9/5): An extremely comfortable stay in the most stunning room and surroundings - Easily one of the nicest places I stayed during my 2 months travelling around India - the architecture of the room is stunning and it is in immaculate condition, and the lush plantation setting is beautiful. The temperature of the room is super comfortable, the bed/bedding are amazing, the shower runs nice and warm. Johnny the guest manager helped me out with my travel - both with autoricks to and from Kumily town, and a taxi for my onward journey. The home-cooked meals and the tour of the owners' cardamom plantation were also a highlight. Not so much an issue but just an FYI for future guests - Lush Acres is a 15-20 minute auto journey from Kumily - not in walking distance to any shops or restaurants. Given the relatively isolated location, it would be good to always check with guests in the morning whether they will need dinner in the evening - a miscommunication meant I was nearly without food one night, but it was all sorted in the end. The room is also within earshot of the road, and the plantation's goat farm, so can be a little noisy at times (judging by the beautiful one-day-old goat I met at the end of the stay, the noises I'd heard the day before were probably that baby being born..!) Also there is no need to ask guests multiple times during their stay to write a review - the property and service speaks for itself, so you can trust guests to share that afterwards :)

Great exterior and interior balconies. The units are along a long up hill path with some stairs. Not suitable for people who have difficulty walking.

The team here have been very attentive and always willing to help. The property is located 7km outside of Kumily and we did need to get transport each day which they sorted for us and even dropped us in Kumily when transport wasn’t available. It made it a really relaxing and easy place to stay. Would highly recommend
• K (9/5): Amazing stay - The property is very clean and has a great Mountain View and it is neatly maintained. The breakfast was also really tasty as they are home made. The location of the home stay is little outside the town and it’s very peaceful. I would highly recommend this place.

The room was spotless. The views of the terraced tea plantations opposite were spectacular, especially at sunrise and sunset. I was well taken care of by the ever-attentive and handsome Johny. His hospitality was outstanding and made my stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, Mani, the always cheerful and charismatic tuk-tuk driver made it easy to explore the local area. The tour of the cardamom was informative and enjoyable, offering an insight into the cultivation of the spice. The location also made it easy to relax and explore the nearby Tiger Reserve, tea plantations, and other facets of Thekkady.

We stayed in the Superior Double Room which is super spacious and has fantastic amenities. The room was very clean with a modern & traditional feel. It’s a family run business and they were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would highly recommend the property to anyone staying in Thekkady. Excellent location for local sightseeing and overall 5 star!

They also have an upper deck where you can sit. We spent our evening there and it felt so good. The view from the balcony is also good.. Mornings especially where there's mist and you have the view of the tea farm. Loved our stay at Lush Acres! Nothing to dislike

Owner of the property is so kind and welcoming he even took us in his Jeep to a nearby tea shop we had a superb tea there. Food here is home made we loved it especially the onam sadhya was so tasty. They also arrange for a jeep safari we can have full day or half day package we took half day package which was memorable experience. Overall its leisure luxury but budget friendly stay .

We particularly loved the lofted reading nook, which provided a great view of the tea plantations across the street.
